I have come to realize that at 49 doing alot if cardio wasn't working for me. It's funny how just by doing the dumbbell workouts are helping me to tone and lose inches. So want to reach my goal by January.
I came to realize the same thing. All that cardio at 51 I've been there and Done that. Not saying cardio isn't important but I find workouts such as this one is more effective. It's funny how what used to work for you when you were younger don't work for you when you get older. At the end of the day keep your body moving and good luck on your journey.

This was a great workout for a beginner. My children came in my room and worked out with me for about 5 minutes and left, but mommy kept going. Thank you so much for the workout. ❤

Week 3, Day 3 [10/05/23]; Workout completed! A little bit late, but they say it's better late than never and here we are. I just love HIIT workouts, except burpees, God, I really got to know myself and noticed how challenging they are for me. Still confident and pushing through!

Wk 6 day 3 - this is my fave cardio workout. With the constant variety and times, things move along quickly. I did 17 burpees last time and 20 this time. I never used to be able even to do 2!!!

Another good workout. I’ve really felt the impact of the workouts this week. I have the bad habit of getting set into a pattern so that over time the workout don’t provide the same benefit as they did at the start. I’m traditionally an hour on the elliptical and this 20 minute cardio really pushed me in a different way. I still supplemented it with 20 minutes of elliptical because I’m a creature of habit. At some point it would be good to get some modifications that are specific to trouble areas. I’ve had impingement syndrome which has caused significant pain in my right shoulder. I’m having surgery in December (had it done on my left with great results) but the guidance form physical therapy is no overhead work so military press is out. One of the other no-no’s is upright rows. I’ve been substituting reverse fly or lateral raise (sometime moved to 45 degrees to the front) for rotator cuff stability. Are there other substitutions that might work well? If you’re aware of other exercises that may aggravate the rotator cuff I’d love to hear it and how I can substitute.
Week 2 day 3 WOW !!! Definitely feeling it definitely sweating and then at the end you gonna through in 60 seconds of burpees, pushed through and loved it!!! Definitely seeing improvement on my squats and my balance and also mobility is beginning to improve; especially with thread the needle stretch. I feel like I can open up my chest more when I reach towards the sky 😁
Awesome workout was dripping with sweat. But couldn't crash through the finisher.love the pace of the workout. Thank you guys. I could do some of the moves juice did and got some motivation to do more.
