Great Video, got a starter pack already and now thinking about jumping to a Titan or 300i. I share the same views, both great ships to experience the alpha. But good news is the store coupon code NEWBEGINNINGS is still working and gives a 5$ discount on the Aurora MR starter package. I am a long time Eve player - and i've always had a bad eye to this game because i remember having to defend eve online and defend eve online against star citizen players. But i recently saw a video which intrigued me.. now i am pondering if i should sell my soul... the game seems to fit a niché i could enjoy. I enjoy the pace of fligth sims.. and wouldnt mind fly around handling ships doing cargo missions and mondane things. The game seems immersive enough (besides when the NPC does weird stuff like standing on lamps) that I think it could function as such... I'll look at a few more of your videos and then i might deside. Problem is that the ships i find intersting in design is Ex-Pen-Sive. But.. you gotta start small. Thank you for your walk through
You had me worried. I just bought the game and your introduction left out the ship I selected; but in the end you got around to the ship I selected and you liked it greatly. Now I just meed to get my computer up to spec to play the game.
My first ship was a Freelancer DUR when I bought the game years ago. Over the years I've bought a handful of ground vehicles like the Buggy, the Rover, and the Dragonfly. I just bought a Prospector and a ROC last week. I finally want to get either 600I Explorer or a Hercules C2 to use as kind'a my space house if these ships can be flown solo.
3:50 idk what it is but my account seems to be glitched that I lose stuff I purchased, but I get the equivalent value in money for those items... So every patch I just need to buy stuff again, and I only bought the base game 🤷
Obviously opening with the Hammerhead, solid start, can bring a vehicle and friends! Look no further, could even take the other starterships in a fight! ;-)
My recomnendation. Avenger titan to do a little bit everything . Anvil Hawk to bounty Hunt and support fight ship Origin 300 to explore. Origin 325a or Aegis Gladius to fight with. Drake Cutlass or MISC MIS to group and do things together. And if you are a silver spoon and proud of it then jump right to 600i.
They can solve the persistence problem with ships by giving you chits for all the ships you've bought in-game before they reset the database. Attach that chit to your internet account rather than your game character. Then after the database update, you can trade those chits in to get the same ship (or equivalent ship if the old ship has been discontinued).
I personally like the Aurora, for reasons you stated in your vid as well. the fact that I can put the boxes you pick up inside of it with no issues like the mustang. It also has a bed inside of it. Ive used the Aurora more than I have the mustang. But now ive upgraded to the Avenger Titan. only 4 days in to playing the game. The bugs are frustrating but the game is still fun.
Love my Titan. And may have to see if I can actually make the hourly rate you're suggesting is possible. Also have a Mustang Beta and an Aurora LN. Great video.
I have a love hate relationship with the fact I want a terrapin. I mean, it's so niche! it just scans and tanks. It's not even long ranged! But I want it because it's so cool looking and I wanna explore the galaxy in a tanky turtle boat!
I just watched this - Thank youf for making it! Do you have an updated version of this video? I play a lot of Alpha games - in fact I like the fact that games are being developed - it is like you keep getting more and more for your money. You should do a "Current Bugs Expo" video once a year. Then you can go back and see what bugs there were and what the current things are to laugh about (and hopefully get fixed soon)
last time i checked it was possible to throw one box behind pilot seat in Mustang , so for single crate mission it was possible with some skill trickery
You should be able to carry boxes up the ladders. I have done it in the past, carrying a box into the Aurora and even up the ladder into a Freelancer. So, you don't necessarily have to throw the boxes.
There is one thing that should be analyzed in deeper detail, the aerodynamics of the Aurora. It might not have a traditional aerodynamic shape, but it definitely, has aerodynamics, it has enough surface to generate lift in that back section and more than we might expect, if you search for unusual shapes for aircraft that actually can fly, and with some decent performance, you will see a lot of weird things that actually flown, and with the advancements in thrusters and maneuvering thrusters, the disadvantage in lift generation in the Aurora, should not be as great as many people are kind of believing it should be right now. And this should get to the game devs as this would help this ship fair better at atmospheric flight. Now, having all that said, i don't play the game, so i don't know how much of a difference there is from the aurora to any other ship in the game, so, if someone would know this, i would thank you for the information, this comes from me having been following the aircraft world for quite a while now, so i'm interested in this subject.
When I first pledged in 2014 I had an avenger but after going through a number of nicer ships I settled on an Aurora LN. I figured I want to start with the space equivalent of what I have in real life. Honda Civic, Yamaha R3, Honda Magna I figured translated nicely to an Aurora LN, Knox Kue and a Dragonfly Yellowjacket. Although I'll probably switch the space bikes for the Origin and Tumbril land bikes eventually.
as a dude who wasted way to much monney on sc and having that thing bought several times and upgraded it, i gotta say, the avenger titan will keep you safe while giving you the freedom to do almost everything, basically just titan-alike. when you then want to go for multi crew with friends, mayby pay together and buy yoursef an andromeda for 3 players or a cutlass black for 2, those will keep back just as safe as the titan does with just a little bit more ... firepower and cargo space (not sure but should be at least doubble if not more)
Of course your first starter ship shoul be the Kraken! On a side note saying the Aurora LN is the best dogifghter in the Aurora lineup is like saying this red brick is the best swimmer out of the box of bricks!

on a budget starter then upgrading it to an avenger is The best choice, should've recommended buying another ship, having your starter can be useful in combating bugs such as getting trapped at lorville or area 18 as it is usually there when you get out the elevator instead of claiming your current ship, and even though upgrading components and weapons is kinda useless at the moment, if you do would help if your upgraded ship is parked a fair decent million kilometers away from where you spawned getting to it rather than relying on the good nature of people. since the usual trend is avenger to cutlass I know you were itching to say this but the cutlass would be the best ship to begin your life in the verse, has extra seats, and bedding for friends, a larger quantum drive for the long haul, 4x size 2 gimbal weapons and 16missiles(even though shooting missiles is the equivalent of throwing a dandelion at any shield) or you could slap on a ridiculous amount of fixed size 3s, its pretty thicc so turning at high speeds can be quite sluggish and at full speed takes almost 20kms to come to a full stop, but Drake Interplanetary ships you'll find in every corner of the galaxy, defending our frontiers, moving precious cargo to places deemed unsafe by the average citizen, hell.. Drake Interplanetary ships are for the average citizen, an every man's(or woman's) ship when you favour versatility over luxury. Its rugged interior reflects its rugged exterior being able to take a punch and get you home safe and sound. See your nearest Drake Interplanetary for more details!
The mustang is nice but because it has not an inside cabinet, currently is not usable. The titan is very nice you can’t get wrong with it. It gives you a sensation of pure freedom in a spaceship close to the old NASA spaceshuttles
As there's no direct to Titan game package, I recommend going from the Alpha, as while the packages are both $45, the Mustang is worth $5 more towards your new ship than the Aurora.
Also, for those who are on the fence about buying the game, CI regularly does free fly weekends for the public to jump in and try it out without buying.
I am still split on getting this game. On one hand, it looks beautiful and playing as a lone cargo transporter honestly sounds super fun. On the other hand, the constant bugs and the wipes in between patches kinda push me away form it. Is it worth getting into, or would i just be delving into an ocean of bugs?
I don’t know as I never had or played this game, but from all of the people I’ve seen talk about it, a lot of them say “only buy this game if you REALLY want too” as in, it’s not like buying a game or simulator that is already released, so I guess that’s up to you buddy. If you think the aesthetics and gameplay might outweigh the bugs and data wipes, then go for it. But if your going to play the game like a try hard and get a lot of money and ships, then you might get destroyed mentally when a data wipe comes along. Bugs can and definitely ruin aesthetics at some points, so if you are not okay with immersion being ruined at points and possibly dying because of bugs then I wouldn’t get it

Haha
Had no clue about insurance 2 years ago when I got into the game, so already upgraded to the Max, but yes, you are absolutely correct
I joined a few months ago and my first ship was the Anvil Arrow, despite wjat my friends told me about getting an all around ship I probably would have not stayed long in the game if I didn't get the arrow, I love everything about it and I can't wait to fullfill the role of a carrier base fighter
The Avenger Titan is amazing, it does fit a greycat but you gotta take a run at it as it bottoms out on the ramp.
Great Video, got a starter pack already and now thinking about jumping to a Titan or 300i. I share the same views, both great ships to experience the alpha. Only missing information is that the Aurora MR is worth $5 less when upgrading. So if considering the Aurora MR pack that's something to keep in mind. But good news is the store coupon code NEWBEGINNINGS is still working and gives a 5$ discount on the Aurora MR starter package. Tho i still think this is a bad time to buy a starter pack since we probably getting a Origin sale in maybe 2 weeks that might have some better deals, or wait till November anniversary 2019 sale to get a starter package with extended insurance for the same price as it is now.
Vítor Arbex what is the insurance?
@@dark_winter8238 if same pattern of last years anniversaries packs its gonna be 84 months, or 7 years. They increase 12 months every year. Unless CIG change policies of course.
@@dark_winter8238 For the Origin event? Most likely 6 months insurance and standard prices on all 300-series ships, including the normally unavailable 350R. Possibly including a 3001 starter pack, a 300-pack with all the 300 variants, and an 'Origin pack' with most or even all ships from the maker. The M50 and 100-series might be available, but I doubt the 100 series would be put up outside the possible mega-pack. Though I would like to see a 100i starter pack as well as it's supposed to be Origin's intro ship.
I got the Drake Cutlass. Even for solo flight it's got it where it counts and can also hold a decent amount of cargo if you're not quite sure what "main profession" you'd like to stick with.
amazing the 21:9 format keep it up sir!
In the Avenger you can use the prisoner holding cells to put boxes inside and secure them from prying eyes closing them.
Love the graph man! I have been wondering about that for so long
I approve of the 21:9 aspect ratio!
I bought the very obvious one, the Avenger Titan. It works for what I want to do. Light cargo and package runs
Titan is the way to go!! I upgraded from my Aurora MR never been happier. Love my Titan, she save my $$$ ass countless time. Cheers
I knew all this, still enjoyed it!
Great update. And great content, and style, as usual.
Amazing production! Great job!
Anvil Hawk to bounty Hunt and support fight ship
Origin 300 to explore.
Great video with real and usefull info for starting players!
The bugs are frustrating but the game is still fun.
finally an ultrawide video. :O Never seen that before!
Im heavily considering making a pc just for this game. This is the most ambitious game ive ever seen and from what i see the devs are delivering.
It looks great, but for double the price of a cutlass, and using the same components, I'd pass.
Thank you, this was very helpful. I am just about to start the game and buy it soon.
last time i checked it was possible to throw one box behind pilot seat in Mustang , so for single crate mission it was possible with some skill trickery
Thank you for 21:9 aspect ratio.
21:9 master race!
as a dude who wasted way to much monney on sc and having that thing bought several times and upgraded it, i gotta say, the avenger titan will keep you safe while giving you the freedom to do almost everything, basically just titan-alike. when you then want to go for multi crew with friends, mayby pay together and buy yoursef an andromeda for 3 players or a cutlass black for 2, those will keep back just as safe as the titan does with just a little bit more ... firepower and cargo space (not sure but should be at least doubble if not more)
Thank you so much :D i am actually a guy who plays most of the time solo so that video just hekped me really much :D
Of course your first starter ship shoul be the Kraken!
On a side note saying the Aurora LN is the best dogifghter in the Aurora lineup is like saying this red brick is the best swimmer out of the box of bricks!
With a large amount of over $1000 put into this game I agree with morph on the choice of starter ships as I've tested them. Also hope to see you in the verse with any that do decide to support it.
This guy sounds like Linus from LTT but talks about Star Citizen.
have you ever played space engineers ? if so, check out his group survival with w4stedspace and theXPgamers (captain shack), a little mini series that gotten made extremely well
No he does not
@@apfeldk he kinda does. i mean at first listen. when he first started talking my first thought "that sounds like linus" of course after a minute or so the similarity fades but its similar
Was literally just thinking about that.
he doesnt though...
Cutlass black or if you are looking for something cheaper, I love the Anvil C8X Pisces Expedition. The new Ares Inferno looks sick though.
i love how he says the alpha has a better view when you can't even look down
The Aroura is op levels of tanky without shields. I have taken 3+ missiles w/out shields and lived
Missiles are broken in 3.5, they don't do damage.
Even before that
Really dig these vids just for the style
Might want to do an new video on this, or add in a card or something specifying that you wont necessarily lose your ship on an update anymore
i bought the RSI Aurora MR package. because i love to fly RSI
I got 3 Auroras love those ships
So you're an ex-con and feel more comfortable looking through a cage?
I have an Aquila of you want to rent it from me :D
@@aesericho3651 loved to fly that thing during a free fly event
@@Charok1 it gives me plenty of looking space
on a budget starter then upgrading it to an avenger is The best choice, should've recommended buying another ship, having your starter can be useful in combating bugs such as getting trapped at lorville or area 18 as it is usually there when you get out the elevator instead of claiming your current ship, and even though upgrading components and weapons is kinda useless at the moment, if you do would help if your upgraded ship is parked a fair decent million kilometers away from where you spawned getting to it rather than relying on the good nature of people. since the usual trend is avenger to cutlass I know you were itching to say this but the cutlass would be the best ship to begin your life in the verse, has extra seats, and bedding for friends, a larger quantum drive for the long haul, 4x size 2 gimbal weapons and 16missiles(even though shooting missiles is the equivalent of throwing a dandelion at any shield) or you could slap on a ridiculous amount of fixed size 3s, its pretty thicc so turning at high speeds can be quite sluggish and at full speed takes almost 20kms to come to a full stop, but Drake Interplanetary ships you'll find in every corner of the galaxy, defending our frontiers, moving precious cargo to places deemed unsafe by the average citizen, hell.. Drake Interplanetary ships are for the average citizen, an every man's(or woman's) ship when you favour versatility over luxury. Its rugged interior reflects its rugged exterior being able to take a punch and get you home safe and sound. See your nearest Drake Interplanetary for more details!
going for a titan stalker ! Just because it is the faster of the three !
Thanks for the help, the Titan is what I'm going to get,, the Mustang does look cool, great vid.
What's your opinion on the mustang rework?
The mustang is nice but because it has not an inside cabinet, currently is not usable. The titan is very nice you can’t get wrong with it. It gives you a sensation of pure freedom in a spaceship close to the old NASA spaceshuttles
As there's no direct to Titan game package, I recommend going from the Alpha, as while the packages are both $45, the Mustang is worth $5 more towards your new ship than the Aurora.
What about the Titans counter part the Stalker would that be the next best thing to it? Can you change the setups in the game?
Change the setups as in there cargo area I mean.
I didn’t even know that it is possible to buy ships at Levsky.
well. you do now!
Enjoyed this, subscribed. Thank you
biggest improvement for economy/ship buying is when they get around to adding character separators/localization for UEC amounts
the avenger titan looks like a quinjet from marvel
Also, for those who are on the fence about buying the game, CI regularly does free fly weekends for the public to jump in and try it out without buying.
I have noted that Star Citizen has a very positive community, very few games can say that!
I think the 315p (if that is the exploration ship) is the best because it's got 12 SCU cargo space making it the most useful for cargo
My first ship was the orion, then hull c, i also have an titan with my game package, so hopefully i will like the hull c when it comes out soon.
Bugs can and definitely ruin aesthetics at some points, so if you are not okay with immersion being ruined at points and possibly dying because of bugs then I wouldn’t get it
Just upgraded to Cutlass Black. Niiiiice!👍
I’ve always thought the best move would be to gather up some friends who also play the game to pool the money for a large ship and crew it together
I have a lot of friends... non of them play this game :( :(
Have earned a hammerhead in game using commodity trade. Commodities sell at a percentage so the more credits you have the more you gain respectively. It’s easy once your in the millions to gain multi millions. Doesn’t take long to get to the millions. Earn about 100k EUC with missions, then start running diamonds between tram (cellin) aNd Po. Prior to this I made enough off vices such as widow
i play Elite its a fun game, and SC is not even released yet probably looking at 2023-25 if ever.
Swedish Mgtow eh elites world may have more planets but less ships not as good looking and feels way more empty than sc you’re stuck to your seat and it gets dead fast
Drake Cutlass is probably the best all around ship for one person wanting to do multiple mission types.
What's your organisation Morphologis? Cool video, I totally agree. I started out using the Aurora, moved to the Titan and now use a cutlass.
Good review for newcomers, keep it going!
I ask myself why they can keep the ships bought with real money but "have to" wipe ships obtained ingame......
I own an Avenger Stalker, an Origin 300i and a Hornet. I like all of these ships. Avenger and 300i are great and versatile ships!
Greed
@@PxNxWxGxW
I think it`s good we can keep the ships bought with real money! Anything else would be a scam! But.....they can`t employ the technical issue-argument then......
Consistent persistence. My new favorite phrase.
Thank you for all your advice greatly appreciate it.
My first ship was the andromeda. My second ship was a hammerhead. Now I'm looking for a video titled my 15th ship.
As a massive fan of the 300i, yeah the avenger titan is the better ship. it holds more cargo, mission boxes are more secure (they sometimes fall out of the 300i cargo lift right now) has more firepower and I believe is cheaper. I do still love the 300i and fly it a lot more, but that's because im an origin fanboy.
Right there with you. I've got a 300i, 600 and 890 too
Do you think the 315p is better then the 300i?
@@dominicgunderson probably depends on what you're doing. The 315p is for exploration and as such, it's not geared for combat or cargo.
How do you like the new vs old anesthetic?
The 'Venger is cheaper but only by $5. And I'm waiting for my 350R. :D
