  • How to Make 12V Battery Charger
    hi friends in this video i have made a 12v battery charger it can charge batteries up to 60ah i have made this charger auto cutoff using very simple component i hope this video will be helpful to you please like share and subscribe
    Components:
    1- 1X 555 timer IC
    2- 1XBC547 transistors
    3- 4X 6A10 diodes (6 Amp diodes)
    4- 2X 100uf 50V capacitors (electrolytic)
    5- 2X 10K ohm resistors (1/4 watt)
    6- 2X 470 ohm resistors (1/4 watt)
    7- 1X 10K variable resistor
    8- 1X 1N4007 diode
    9- 2X 100uf 50V capacitors (electrolytic)
    10- 1X 1000uf 35V capacitors (electrolytic)
    11- 1X 0.1uf nonpolar capacitors
    12- 1X 12v relay
    13- 1X red led
    14- 1X green led
    15- 2X 2pin terminal blocks
    16- 1X 3pin terminal block
    17- 1X 12v 6A transformer
    18- Alligator clips
    19- Dc wire
    20- vero board
    21- jumper wires
    22- power cable

    This one I found right video but lot of people uploaded video I have seen that type of video. I have not tried but my observation is one should not increase input voltage that should be constant. Cut of shoud happen after battery is fully charged. Very common mistake in such type of video. Hope intellectual pepole understand and will not waste the time. But this video is very good and workable.

    Excellant work out. I suggest to add in this PROGRESSIVE BATTERY CHARGE STATUS with digital volt meter. This way this charger will become live with the change of value in volt meter.

    This looks amazingly well put together but I have one question, the diagram shows the 555 times ic leading to various parts but the video shows you soldering all of the pins together. Wouldn't that short circuit the whole thing? Or maybe it just looked like that, Idk but they all looked connected together.

    Bro, you make awesome videos and your soldering skills are next level. However, my only compliant is that you don't explain your circuits. Such as which circuit is going to do what ? For example, you have used 7809 to give power to 555 timer circuit which is at Monostable Mode. I believe, doing so will improve your video quality and get you more views.

    I built this circuit to charge up my battery that powers a backup fan if there is a power failure on my waste oil heater.
    The circuit works really well but the minimum voltage to start recharging the battery is too low.
    The circuit doesn’t leave much storage in the battery before it starts charging.
    What component would i have to change to make the circuit start charging when the voltage gets to around 11.5v.
    The cut off voltage is set to 14.8v

    I like your presentation, can you please do it without using vero board, the wires shown on the diagram seems connected every joint bypass loop must be indicated to identify exactly the connection. Thanks

    Good response for cutt off voltage but if we need to Automatically On it for certain low voltage of battery then what changes will be required in this circuit.

    question, why you have used three pin terminal block? whether you left blank one point (N/C) . So if I use two pin terminal in place of three ! will it be wrong?     To set the cut-off voltage at 14.4V you used a seperate power supply; but where did you connect it on the circuit board? What is the function of NE555 timer?
