Transliteration:
Rabbi awzi’neee an-ashkura ni’matakal lateee an’amta ‘alaik wa ‘alaa waalidaiya, wa an a’mala saalihan tardaah, wa aslih lee fee zurriyyatee. Innee tubtu ilaik, wa innee minal muslimeen.
(My Lord! Enable me that I may give thanks for the favor wherewith You have favored me and my parents, and that I may do right acceptable to You. And be gracious to me in the matter of my descendants. Indeed! I have turned to You repentant, and indeed! I am of the Muslims.)

This dua in the Quran has been my favourite dua since a long time ago. I have often wondered why there was not much commentary on the dua by our teachers and ulama to enlighten our Muslim folk on the beautiful and meaningful supplication and message it conveys to the three levels of one 's generation . Further there is a rather unusual mention of an age of an individual , i.e. 40 years in this only verse, I think in the whole of the Holy Revelation !

How do I love my mum...this speech made me really cry...I dnt want to go to hell because I don't love her...everything she has done she has acted like it's been a favour, she has done the bare minimum as a mum and made us feel bad whilst doing it ..she doesn't even visit her children but expects us to be there down every day...if she does come once in a blue moon she will make it out like she has done a big massive favour....I can't stand her gas lighting ..she does not make me feel loved..anything loving thing she will do she will say 'look at me, I have done. This for you, I'm like this and like this and you are like this and this'

"We have commanded people to honour their parents. Their mothers bore them in hardship and delivered them in hardship. Their ˹period of˺ bearing and weaning is thirty months. In time, when the child reaches their prime at the age of forty, they pray, “My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please You. And instil righteousness in my offspring. I truly repent to You, and I truly submit ˹to Your Will˺.”Quran 46:15
