UNILAG x Sahara Group: Partnership that Works

Looking back on one of the many precious memories of the UNILAG 54th (2022) Convocation Ceremonies, we send out our warm gratitude to the Sahara Group for being a crucial part of a partnership that works!
As our amiable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS stated, "the University of Lagos' partnership with Sahara Group, which began last year, is one that can best be described as an outstanding example of generational sowing for academic sustainability."
This partnership includes an annual ₦10 million cash prizes instituted in the names of some Sahara Group Executive Directors who are alumni of the University of Lagos, and their parents, who once taught in the university as well.
Education is just like the environment, it has so much to offer the world, but the world gives so little back to nurture it. We therefore call on all potential UNILAG partners out there to rise to the clarion call to be the bastion of hope and change that positively repositions education in Nigeria and Africa at large.
