  • The magic of fabric London meets Brighton with an exclusive B2B set featuring legends Terry Francis, Howie B, and Keith Reilly at the Brighton Music Conference 2024. This iconic performance took place 450 feet above the city in the Brighton i360 Pod observation tower, as part of the UK's premier electronic music and networking event.
    About BMC:
Brighton Music Conference 2024 took place from May 22nd to 24th this year, featuring a lineup of industry-leading professionals, insightful talks, workshops, and exclusive networking events. This year's event included the much-loved pod parties, 450 feet above the city, hosted by Bushwacka! Hospital Records, fabric and many more!
    Howie B:
Howie is a Scottish musician, producer and DJ who has worked with artists including Björk, U2, Tricky, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Soul II Soul, Robbie Robertson, Elisa, Mukul Deora, Marlene Kuntz and the Gift.
    Terry Francis:
By the time fabric london opened it's doors, Terry Francis was already known as one of the key spearheads for London’s emerging tech house scene. Throughout the late 90s he was putting out innovative house records with a distinctive punchy flair via the likes of Wiggle, Eye 4 Sound, Swag, and Pagan - labels that are still highly treasured by today’s generation of upcoming DJs. Recently some of his classic works have been reissued for new audiences to discover, while he’s also revived his Eye 4 Sound imprint as an outlet for releasing his fresh material. When we were defining our Saturday night music policy, the London-based sound pioneered by Francis was one of our key inspirations, and he was enlisted to provide the sound track in our space every weekend. Other guests were invited to join us, but he was always at the heart of our sound world. He’s remained at the helm of Saturday nights at the club for the last two decades, consistently displaying a defined style of DJing that’s proven timeless. Like the seminal records he’s produced over the length of his career, he has true staying power.
    Keith Reilly:
Fun fact: Keith owns around 500,000 pieces of vinyl. They live on palettes in a warehouse. He knows it's a problem, that he's helpless to stop buying records, and he knows that the more he buys (sometimes he spends as much as £2000 a week) the more he buries himself in tons, literally tons, of plastic and cardboard.
But strangely, it might be this obsession that is key to the success of Fabric, the club he built decadea ago opposite London's Smithfield's meat market in a vast disused cold storage unit.
Keith is reticent to take credit for the success of the club himself, which years on still sees queues snaking down the street whenever its doors are open. He is much happier to defer this to his team, a loyal group who offer utter commitment to the club.
"We've grown up together, been in the trenches together. We are all here because of each other. I wouldn't be here without them," he says.
"This club is nothing other than a tribute to everyone who has been here and everyone who has supported what we do, and it's their acceptance and their support that has gifted us the privilege to do it. Our joy is simply to find new music, and play it. I just want people to love this music the way I do."
Keith's proud of staying absolutely true to himself throughout. This devotion was what drew John Peel to record his first and last compilation album for Fabric, and even to DJ at the club. A late night phone call with Peel - during which Reilly inadvertently revealed he had every one of Peel's radio shows recorded and archived on tape - both showed that they shared an obsessive passion for music and ultimately persuaded him to work with the club, something he was initially hesitant to do. They were kindred spirits and Keith regards the Peel coup among his proudest achievements.

Terry was just warming up here...the same with Howie B...these guys need a 2-3 hour set each to really show what they can do. Terry Francis is a true UK underground legend, a master DJ and tech house pioneer. He doesn't need all the new flashy Pioneer DJ effects to play a killer set if you see him play in a club. His knowledge of how to slowly build a set and whip a crowd into a frenzy, plus curation and blend mixing skills are top class. He's been doing it successfully for many years

these DJs look very lost, as if they were seeing such DJ equipment for the first time in their lives, the music is poor, they don't pay attention to people's reactions, they just keep looking at Pioneer DJ, waste of time...😕

I just remember Terry Francis dropping vinils direct on air, and doing the beatmatch fully on air on Pacha, in a microsecond, with Vinyls. Like a machine. Perfect dj skills, better than techno djs.
you need too good to do that, too good

if you are looking for overanimated air punching, pogoing, unnecessary and exaggerated knob twisting and possibly a cake being thrown you are on the wrong channel sir.
