Downtown Killeen Mural

The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce recently commissioned the Civic Killeen Art Guild to paint a mural downtown on the vacant lot located at 223 E. Avenue D (Ave D and Gray St.).
The theme of the mural is “Camp Hood to Ft. Hood - Embracing Our Rich Military History.” It is undeniable that our city has been shaped by the presence of Fort Hood. This mural is a tribute to that bond, and a display of the exceptional talent that lives in our community. The intent is that it will also spark interest in further art displays in the downtown area, which are a key factor in any city’s downtown revitalization efforts.
