    Another car-related method I've heard of is putting them under a car jack while you jack up a car, and I bet with a bit of work you could even make a jig that would apply pressure to opposite edges at the same time! Nice job getting it off anyhow, where there's a will there's a way!

    Really like this vid Rinoa.
    1. I have played with chrome paint too and sprayed it over gray aswell. does not give much chrome qualities and does look frosted.. I figure out if you spray it over black paint it works great!
    2. I have the same socket wrench. love how small the gearing is for the ratcheting.
    Keep it up ill always keep watching

    To make a perfect Honda logo on that cover you could use the same process used to make homemade circuit boards. That's the idea: print the logo in red using a toner printer in photographic paper. Put the paper over the cover and heat it using a iron (not a soldering iron, but the ones used to flatten clothes). Then the logo will peel off the paper and stick to the cover, after that you can use some gaze coating to make it shine

    • @RinoaL
      @RinoaL  10 років тому

      or i can go to my dad's company and use the same method they origenally used to coat it. either silk screen or sublimation

    • @MateusLeonardoMendes
      @MateusLeonardoMendes 10 років тому

      The method i suggested will more like work for everyone that have access to a toner printer, and its crazy cheap xD Anyway, the one you did is good enough, for me at least... What about eletrifying that beast?

      yeah i was thinking about that but it would be better to worry about that when i find a nice motor.

    The method I use to unseat the bead is stand on the tire and work it down all around so it's all lower than the bead. Then still while standing on either side of the rim I start hitting close to the bead with a long solid steel rod that weighs about 30 lbs. I suppose. I'm sure it helps that I go north of two bills and sometimes it takes a half hour but I always get them to let loose. That front one might have been a tough nut to crack with my method though. Anyway, the key is not to let the bead work against you by trying to pull down one spot (thereby increasing resistance everywhere else) but I guess with the help of a car's weight it'll give!

  • @airsami28
    @airsami28 3 роки тому

    nice job on the rims man, looks as good as if they were brand new off ebay :-) perhaps you could run a few psu's in parallel for the electrolysis that way you could tap them for the extra ampage and retain the same voltage :-)
    it was cool to see those tyres didn't have inner tubes in them and you just glued them up. Makes sense when I think about it I guess considering they are designed to give a bit, to increase traction.
    Theres nothing like the peace and silence of the night to work in, no phones going at it, just focus and let the show begin :-)
    Looking forward to seeing the carb :-D

    Just wondering, why did you paint the inside of the rims?

    • @RinoaL
      @RinoaL  6 років тому

      i dont want them rusting up, the old tires took almost an entire day to remove because the rust had encrusted around them on the inside.

    • @RinoaL
      @RinoaL  10 років тому

      i wonder if these youtube videos could be used as evidence of my ownership in the event of it being stolen, but then found? unfortunatly the title was lost in the 80s so its not like we have actual paperwork for it.

    • @zx8401ztv
      @zx8401ztv 10 років тому

      Rinoa Super-Genius
      In the uk if you have the engine and frame number you can apply to the dvlc for a registration document, it will tell you the last owner and other basic stuff, if its not stolen then they issue you a license plate number.
      All steps can take dam ages, the new or old licence plate number stays with the bike/car/van/lorry..... no matter who owns it.
      Cant you apply to your department with the engine/frame number and colour + make of vehicle??

    • @RinoaL
      @RinoaL  10 років тому

      zx8401ztv yeah well i'd hate for somebody else to happen to have the licence and it go back to them. ya know like whoever sold it in the 80s kept the licence.

    • @zx8401ztv
      @zx8401ztv 10 років тому

      Rinoa Super-Genius
      I would investigate how to get a new licence number and ownership, you want it to be yours!!.
      Even the registration document we have is just a notified keeper, its not a rock solid "its mine" guarantee., we are a bit odd that way lol.

    • @RinoaL
      @RinoaL  10 років тому

      zx8401ztv
      well i don't really need it to ride it. like we don't have licence plates for ATVs here. i just don't know if it'll be worth the hastle. it'll be staying in my dad's basement locked up in a while so it's only a temporary worry that it will be stolen.

    Oh man, those tires were always a bitch thanks to the rim design. I've done a handful of them for my ATC200S, and I've never been able to break the beads, so I've always had to cut the tire off the rim.
    Ah, you had the two piece rims. Mine are single piece and much more difficult to get apart. I've spent hours on them before. never able to break a bead and save the tire. It's unfortunate because one of the tires I've got right now needs an inner tube, and I doubt I can dismount it without completely ruining the tire. Now that I work in an auto shop I may try the machines there.

    Next time you run into a really stubborn tire that does not wan't to come loose from a rim, and if it is a scrap tire and you are going to electrolise the rims, use one of your tools that you highlited in one of your other videos. HINT: you filled it up with coleman stove fuel and I told you that I was amazed that it still functions. But you may want to cut most of the tire off first so that you don't fill the neighborhood up with black smoke, unless ofcoarse the wind is blowing towards those " Fucking neighbors".

    I was actually thinking about what your neighbors were like before you said you didn't trust them XD

    • @RinoaL
      @RinoaL  10 років тому +1

      well lets see, they are dumb shits. back in the 80s when they had a kid the guy beat him every day and the wife spent all their money and her time drinking at the bar. now their son is like 30 and freeloads over there sometimes and will just walk into my back yard and i almost have to chase him away with a crowbar. the old guy is fat and rude and also cheep and shady. like he had me look through all my tires for a rear riding mower tire as if he wanted to buy one. i offered it to him for 15$ and he was acting cheap so i dropped it down to 10$ and he still acted like he wanted me to give it to him for free.
      they call the cops on our other neighbor's dogs yet they have a dog tied to a tree in the back yard that barks non-stop. whenever he weedeats his yard sometimes he kicks the fence so the neighbor's dogs get angry then he hits them with the weed wacker and all my neighbors start cussing at each other.
      they sit on their front porch for hours on end staring at anybody who goes by and if you drive even a lawnmower on the public street infront of their house he gets up and opens his front door enough for him to grab his telephone then stare at you. thats him threatening to call the cops. it's entirely legal to drive lawnmowers on the road but they are so selfish they think lawnmowers "disturb the peace" meanwhile he has 6 riding lawnmowers and for some reason him and his wife will come home with beer cans in the back of their truck, and they will procede to make as much noise as possible for an hour while they get like 100 cans out of his truck and stomp on them and shove them into a trash barrel about every day.
      if it was legal, i wouldnt have any reservations against going over there and burning their house to the ground with them inside.
      hope that helps you understand my neighbors a bit.
