- Knowledge by Acquaintance and Knowledge by Description are the two categories of acquiring knowledge. This distinction was introduced by Bertrand Russell.
Knowledge by Acquaintance means acquiring knowledge through direct or personal contact.
However, Knowledge by Description means attainment of knowledge through some certain description.

Got the glimpse of my teaching techniques in your lecture! 😊 One thing I must say, India ho ya Pakistan..all the Philosophy teachers are same, since they face the same difficulties ( Main usey Phalsapha padhata hoon aur wo sir khujata rehta hai!) 😅 - Regards 🙏

I don't make notes...
Sir one confusion is scope or aims of philosophy is same are different? ?? First time learn philosophy lots of confusion are in the mind but your all lectures are simple and easy and easy to gain mine
Don't Worry. Start mein tough lagta hai. Lekin jab Base ban jaye tab easy ho jata hai Philosophy k concepts ko pick karna.
Scope aur Aim mein Difference hai.
Philosophy ka Scope bhot vast hai. Philosophy har field of Knowledge k sath deal karti hai. Jab Scope ki baat ki jati hai to Branches of Philosophy ko discuss karty hain. Kyunki Branches of Philosophy sy pta chalta hai k Philosophy knowledge k har area ko cover karti hai. Jaisy, Metaphysics, Epistemology, Ethics, Logic, Aesthetics Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Art, and Philosophy of Religion.
Aur jab Aim ki baat ki jati hai to hum kehty hain k Philosophy Insaan ko;
Rational bnati ha.
Meaning of Life ka btati hai.
Knowledge provide karti hai.
Curious bnati hai taky Ultimate truth ko find out kya jasaky.
Apni life ko examine karny mein help karti hai.
Insaan ko Knowledgeable banana.
Sir ek baat batayiye, Hum BEd ka course kar rhe hain usme Theories of Knowledge nam se topic Hain usme Bertrand Russell ka theory of knowledge pucha hai to kya hum ye jo apne padhaya hai, Knowledge Acquintance and Knowledge by description yhi likh sakte hain?
G bilkul. Ye Bertrand Russell ki hi theory of Knowledge hai. Yahi points hain...
@@lecturesbyWaqasAziz ok sir thanks. 🙏
I know Mother Teresa, what type of knowledge is ? Though some body has no direct accountance .
It is a descriptive knowledge... Because, you may have read or listened about her... In other words, knowledge about her reaches to you in the form of verbal or written description...
