Knowledge by Acquaintance and Knowledge by Description are the two categories of acquiring knowledge. This distinction was introduced by Bertrand Russell.
Knowledge by Acquaintance means acquiring knowledge through direct or personal contact.
However, Knowledge by Description means attainment of knowledge through some certain description.
