I fell into a bit of a depression this summer and this store was a big part of pulling me out of it. I wasn't into collecting figures prior. It gave me a little something different to do, and helped me refamiliarize myself with things that made me happy when I was younger. -- SRS
I feel the same way. It was overwhelming at times being at work all the time during this pandemic. It was thanks to this podcast that I found this place early in 2020. This store helped me restart my love of collecting.
I've fallen out of love of wrestling, but I can't stop watching you guys. You have so much passion and love for figures that it's addicting to watch you guys as well as listen to you on the background. Please keep going guys, keep doing what you love.
Nostalgia truly hits me right in the face the moment I walk in this store! Being able to share memories from my childhood, while also making new ones with my son is amazing. The owner and staff are amazing and have went above and behind to help me and my wife find figs for my son. If your in the Lexington area make sure you swing by and check these guys out because you won’t be disappointed! Another great episode guys!
You boys deserve elite status... What grown men do!!! Keep up the awesome work. My two favorite superstars; doing what makes them happy, really cool. So different; yet, the same kid @ heart.
I'm 33 and used to work in the streetwear industry and I can tell you "dad hats" are huge, specifically with younger millennials and also zoomers. The strap alone does not make something a "dad hat." You will see standard 5-panel snapback style hats with straps, and we will call those strapbacks. That said, "dad hats" do typically only have straps (not snaps), either velcro or with a buckle. But more specifically, it's the shape of the crown, the length of the bill, and the overall unstructured nature of the hat that makes a hat a "dad hat." They have a more lowkey, casual, and dressed down aesthetic. The rise of the "dad hat" can also be seen as something that happened alongside the rise of the "normcore" aesthetic from a few years back. Dad hats are huge, and the trendier ecom brands (with demos that skew younger than the average Major Mark) almost exclusively only sell dad hats. You won't see a hipster streetwear brand selling fitted hats at all. Some might sell snapbacks. But chances are they are only selling dad hats. Dad hats are incredibly trendy, just clearly not with the MWF Pod audience. Which isn't entirely surprising. I'm also not surprised Matt doesn't like them. You can tell it's not his style as he prefers much more heavily structured hats, like flex-fit/fitted hats and standard snapbacks. I hope this helps to shine a light on what dadhats are and for whom they are popular. Edit: Unrelated, but damn... Canada IS part of North America. Lol.
It's when I read stuff like this, when I really realize just how unfashionable I am and how entirely clueless I'm about it all! LOL. Seriously, I'm super impressed with people who can keep up with all those trends and be so knowledgeable about that stuff, as the most I'm capable of is making sure the color's I'm wearing matches (and I don't even get that right sometimes lol).
I live 30 minutes from Toy Headquarters (Toy Vomit) . This store is just as fantastic as the cool dudes who work there. Definitely recommend to anyone who is curious in checking this place out
I had that same warrior folder in 4th grade and a Pac Man trapper keeper... I thought I was so cool along with my dukes of hazard lunch box with matching thermos... what a much simpler time in the mid 80s. Such a great decade to be a kid in... miss those days up through college every waking moment. I wish I would have known those were the good ol days when I was living them. Thanks Creed and Andy...
I’m the guy from Alabama. I got out of collecting, but that Buff Bagwell, Cactus Jack HOF, Signed Bret Hart, Signed Ron Simmons and signed Terry Funk, were all part of my 800+ moc collection that they took off my hands. Very cool that Ryder ended up getting the Buff Bagwell that I once owned. I honestly thought that he was going to get the HOF Cactus Jack, too. Glad that you kept Buff moc 🤘🏻😎
Wow what an amazing episode!! I love episodes like this chilled, laid back, getting to see the shop and the great figures on show!! Well played guys!!! My favourite one yet!! This easily could of been 2-3 hours long given the stock, stories and fantastic store!!!
OSTFM red trunks Kevin Sullivan, BCA Billy Gunn variant out of nowhere, unreleased Elite Cactus Jack, and a pair of Bret prototypes just chilling inside a glass cabinet. Won't be surprised if one day Matt will be ultimately reunited with the Hasbro All American Lex Lugger prototype.
I love seeing this fig hunts videos because I live in Central america and the toy stores here don't sell wrestling figures. If I ever get the chance to visit USA I will definitely come back with a lot of figures. Thank you for making this awesome content! #ScratchThatFigureItch
Just went to this store yesterday. Great guys if you are ever in Lexington I would highly suggest visiting them. I will be a frequent customer here now
The white mike shout out. Hes part of the gym nasty boys and literally one of the best and funniest dudes in the indies. Also has one of the coolest finishes ever!!
I live in the UK and stores such as these are unheard of. I have never been to a store with old wrestling figures or even merch. People who live in the US are lucky to even have old wrestling figure shops.
I didnt know yall went back out there. I worked in the office next to toy headquarters for a few years. Owner is a bad mother. Good friend of mine and has the coolest collection of shiz ive ever seen
I went back to Lexington and visited Nate at Toy Headquarters (Toy Vomit) shortly after seeing your first video there. Nate hooked me up with a sweet trade after bringing over some toys from Japan. Let me know the next time you guys are back in Tokyo, I'll take you toy hunting over here!
Great episode and big up from the UK. I have a question for you guys or any one out there. Can you get the hasbro looking mankind figure you see at the end of ‘beyond the Matt’? Can’t seem to find it anywhere. Got a figure itch. Hope you read this one.
i cant wait for them to have an online store, thats some awesome stock You talkin about that purple bendem Bret, whats the story behind that because I have a signed bendem Bret and now that I heard you and i took a look at mine, Im pretty sure its purple too. If thats a rarity then i think im even more stoked to have it
I currently live in Cincinnati, OH, 2 hrs away from Toy HQ aka Toy Vomit and had been wanting to check them out in person asap. I originally heard about them through one of Shaun Ross Sapp's (from Fightful) videos right after the AEW lines first started coming out, he had mentioned that's were he got them from and that that's were he shopped. And, I knew they had a big supply, but omg, I am looking forward to visiting there even more after seeing this. I am glad they have the older stuff too cause there are a couple of the Classic Superstar figures I wanted, Road Warrior Hawk and Fabulous Mula when it came to that line. I would get the Animal one too to go with Hawk if they have one in that line. I do have the WWE Battle Pack of the Road Warriors with the blue shoulder pads though.
I've watched this like 3 times already and i just noticed that the guy behind the cash and wrap @ 28:38 has a Per Welinder Tattoo on the top of his right hand !!!
I’m working on Awa t-shirt collection but the twist is I’m. Trying to get all shirts in green cause you don’t see a lot of green wrestling shirts . I’ve got two planned the iron sheik and sgt. Slaughter. But there is no Vern gange shirts or nick bodwinkle .
dad hats were/are super popular in the hardcore music scene , do u guys know of them stationary notepads wwf released? i found one of the LOD a bit ago while antiquing . yes matt sell all your junkos lol, mom from the goonies lmao!!
lol i just noticed you guys mentioned that series 2 yellow macho man last time u went to toy vomit but passed now this time you picked it up the priced jumped from 25 to 45 , you slept on it now u pay the price! the thousand dollar broski price! lol

Heard your collecting the aew figures
Dude I am happy I found you via wrestletalk, watch you more than them now. FTF

@@thedeadlynose5127 Yep! Considering stopping though with all the doubles they dropped in series 5
@@Fightful lol awesome to hear, SRS! Keep on that figure collecting!
Yes! It’s the return to one of your best fig hunt episodes!

The tennesse top hat and overalls really sell it
He's the best. I go there at least twice a month
This video rocks. My nostalgia levels can only go so high and watching this put me in such a good place. Great content as always!

These kinda vlogs are the reason I love this Pod - Channel - Twitch. And I don’t own a single figure. Cheers Mark!
Matt would have been a great cameraman on COPS, I had to take a motion sickness pill during the video.
51:04 not even a collector but my heart dropped when he just opened them like that loo
Gotta let em breathe
Same. I don’t collect wrestling figures anymore, but that one hurt. Good thing it wasn’t that valuable of an set...
You boys deserve elite status... What grown men do!!! Keep up the awesome work. My two favorite superstars; doing what makes them happy, really cool. So different; yet, the same kid @ heart.
Mark putting out better content than Raw these days ...
That awkward moment when you enjoy watching a wrestling figure podcast Vlog more than actually watching wwe programming
I mean this is pretty top tier and hard to beat.

American collectors have it so good. Huge stores like this full of a ridiculous amount of wrestling figures, many of which I've never seen in hand.

Man, I wish I could find a shop like this in Minnesota near the Twin Cities. I’d be broke but happy & content.
$1000 for Harley would be about 3X what he’s worth. Especially for the Canadian version. #TheMoreYouKnow
These guys more self control than I would in that room
Hell of a store I may have to make a road trip down to Kentucky
Very proud of you guys for starting your own successful brand. Bet you didn't think you'd be doing this back when you were living in Louisville.
Bro that's amazing
Smart mark ‼️💯
Cardona is like 'Prototype $1200'? Time to call the Wifey.

I've been wanting to start a bone cruncher collection and this place is only like 30 mins away. Think this is the place to start??
It physically hurts whenever i see those PILES of Jakks/Bonecrushers/RA era packaging.
Amazing about sums this up!!!!
I got that triple threat still in the box. It was at least $20 new, and more than 20 years to get to $60?

There isn't much in that part of Lexington, because it's not in the good part of Lexington.
Chilled out Virgil rug on the floor
