"A Star Is Born" should have won an Academy award. It was the best! I watched it four times and it will always be one of my favorite movies (one of three ). This movie haunted me for months. I'll never forget it.
The first like 30 minutes of the movie, everything up until they sing, is the best cinema and story telling ever.

Up until a few minutes ago I had never heard of Kevin McCarthy but all I can say is that this is the best interviewer I have ever seen. Well thought out questions which opened the door to engaged responses. What a pro. I think all the celebrities involved were as blown away with his line of questioning as I was. I will certainly be looking up Kevin McCarthy for more interviews.

it would be ironic (i think that's the word) since everyone in Hollywood thought the 1954 version with Judy Garland was going to get all the awards including best picture. A Star is Born is a remake of a remake. The original, original version was called "What Pirce Hollywood". If Gaga wins best actress I hope she mentions Judy Garland in her acceptance speech.
she mentions her influences were "Wizard of Oz" and "Guys and Dolls". This lady knows her music theater history.
If Barbra Streisand didn't win it, LG is not going to win it.
What an amazing interviewer. He did his research before the interviews, is passionate and happy to be there but able to keep his composure. If you read this, I'd recommend starting a movie critic channel on UA-cam.
Kevin made one of the most beautiful and candid reviews about the movie. I love it because he does not hesitate to show that he is happy and excited about the film and to be in front of Gaga and Bradley.

I love the humility and interest she shows the interviewer when he says he's been up all night. You can tell she feels blessed to be there as well. At the beginning when I saw the trailer I wasn't overly into this movie but hearing about how moving it is... And the fact Sam Elliott got emotional over it. I think its going to be up for multiple oscar nom's. Excited to see it

There was one scene with Sam Elliot where he was backing out of the driveway that completely broke me. Beautiful acting all around and beautiful movie!
The interviewer is so enthusiastic and genuine, very nice to see someone so keen to ask great questions and engage that way.
Lady Gaga is the epitome of a timeless, beautiful, talented (above and beyond) STAR.
She truly is amazing. I watched documentary about her. Something so eye-opening. I had respected her for being such an artist before even I watched it, but after it she made a special place and respect in my heart.

It is amazing how humble she is... The guy was saying how late he was up practicing interview questions for them and her reaction and comment just proves how great of a person she is.

Kevin, your vulnerability as a reporter makes you so real, it's almost disarming. You almost stole the interview away from Gaga, Bradley and Sam. I hope to see more of you and your interviews. And wow, your questions must be refreshing to these actors who are asked the same questions over and over again. So original, so fun. Brilliant job.

Finally! A damn interview that asks different questions and in turn solicits new responses from these two. I was getting so sick of hearing them repeat the same 5 phrases during every interview. It’s so cool to learn that Gaga fans were extras in the movie and started chanting her name as “Ally”.

Sam Elliot deserves to have more recognition in this film and I love him as an actor. I can’t remember the movie name with Patrick Swayze he was in and he slayed that movie too.Star is born is to 1 for me.If you have not seen the one before this one with Barbara Streisand Kris Kristophisin however you spell it Its a must see too. But this is my favorite I’m in love with these acting skills and I cannot believe it was Bradley Cooper’s first time singing EVER,What????Amazing

Lady Gaga, you're an amazing artist. I love so many of your songs, the lyrics, and they still touch me. I also have fibromyalgia , like really bad, and though I haven't watched your Netflix documentary about it, and btw I'm SO gratefu for raising awareness about this terrible chronic illness-- must say I haven't watch it yet bc I'm self conscious about how much you still do despite the horrible illness that I'm battling for about -5 years but really rendered me unable to keep working the way I did and still haven't found how to do it, though that's my most desperate wish-- I thank hpu. Btw I'm on my IPad and I'm the worst typing in it! Bradley ,fellow Hoya! I'm Georgetown Univeristy, my dearest alma mater, college class 96. I'm still highly involved with Georgetown. It's home to me ans it really keeps me going. I think you're a brilliant actor. Loved Silver linings playbook. thanks to you both
She is a creative genius. Her music always has been. But because it is pop especially at the beginning it wasn't takrn as seriously. But her lyrics are incredible. Her talent is mind blowing.
