Good move taking the refund for Lightning Ridge - it was really awful a couple of weeks ago in the rain! We plan a couple of days in advance at most because things ‘don’t always go to plan’ 😄 and have seen some great things by being flexible.
Hahahaha yes well this was us planning, but wikicamps made it look a little better than what we had anticipated lol plus the thought of rain coming threw our ideas in the air abit haha 😅
Yea the owner at lightning ridge said it gets quite bad there when it rains, glad to hear we made the right decision by taking the refund haha!

Good episode. We've been there also and had similar issue, ended up at Rainbow Reserve in the large gravel section as you come in. Turned out to be the best spot when it rained.
Ohhhh yes that was a good spot! Maybe if we had got there a few hours later we could have snatched that spot! 😀🙌
Good episode guys. I thought that if sand got wet you would have more grip under the tyres?
Yea normally but we've found that river sand turns really gluggy after alot of rain and there was supposed to be alot coming 'said the weatherman' 🤣🤣

TJ almost had a free trip of his own 1min 56 seconds in 😳 Great decision not to camp where you may have been a risk of 1 getting stuck, 2 getting flooded in , 3 washed away and 4 family safety first 👍 Close calls on the tracks with trees and spider dodging at its best lol 😂 Fecken Feck Feck 🤪🤪 🖐🏿go the five 🖐🏿 so next week is just a Plain episode hahaha 🖐🏿

Yea I'm always abit worried too, we do suss out places as much as we can and get a feel for it before we stop for the night 🙂 bolts on the doors definitely help make us feel safer
TJ my man your lithium battery's just gone into safe mode (they do this once they have been run completely flat) all you need to do is jump start it for 5 mins with your car or a jump starter kit and it will start charging again like normal. love the content guys cant wait to watch u guys back on the road full time

Nope never 😁 and I (Leah) have felt a lot safer after having put bolts on the door. We read A LOT of reviews, and if something doesn't feel right we just simply move on, we don't risk it with our kids in the van 😁 We've been on the side of the road by ourselves before and look for lit up areas next to toilets etc. (if anything we hear of more things happening at caravan parks than we do at free camps ) ♥️
