- Dan really throws himself into this footage, as the guys unleash thousands of pounds of jelly in a Kubrick-esque slow-mo masterpiece. See more wiggles and jiggles on The Super Slow Show, only on UA-cam.
Dan: *doubled over gagging*
Also Dan: "how about I swim in this?"
😂😂😂 Absolute champion as always, doing whatever it takes for the channel!
If any UA-camr deserves their fortune it’s the slow mo guys.
Green Bill yes
Yh
Tell mark rober that
And mr beast
@Joshua Singh was Bob Ross a UA-camr?
Dan and Gav: let’s swim in the world largest jelly
Mark rober: hold my jello
Dan and gav: you mean jelly?
mark rober:Parry this you casual
Christopher CRONK *jello nobody call jello jam
foxfullofdeath # don't question me
Dinnysaur vat 19 hold my jello
Mark rober won.
I get a kick out of imagining archaeologists 1000 years from now discovering footage as bizarre as Dan falling onto a giant jello cube and trying to decipher its cultural significance
There's a joke among archaeologists that if you don't understand something's purpose, it's ceremonial.
Dan is obviously a priest performing religious self-flagellation to appease our primary deity: the Phantom
@@corvinredacted Wait... are you saying that's not the purpose of this channel!? I've been watching these as part of my religious practice all this time.
@@adamkg3215 The first part of my comment was just an unrelated fun-fact. The religious significance of the High Priest's ceremonies is unquestionable.
I'll be honest. This is probably the MOST Slow Mo Guys video out of the series so far. Reminds me of the original videos where things didn't go a planned but it was still amazing to watch.
I thought he would go inside the jelly 😅 like the cartoon logic 😅.
Life isnt a cartoon im sorry to say
MayoMan 9000 you clearly don't get it.
I'm picturing the part in cloudy and a chance of meatballs lol😂
E Chase lol
He would suffocate you uneducated swine
"You've been born alot on this show"
In America your jelly is our jello. And our jelly is a fruit spread made from the juice of the fruit. And our jam is a fruit spread made form the actual fruit.
American dictionary
Jelly: A preserve that you put on toast or other things. A. K. A Jam
Jello: An edible wobbly substance. A. K. A Jelly
Shane Lyne Same in Canada!
Howdy from Canada(America's hat)
GDCilia or are you our sombrero, oh wait, nevermind
Or you could be normal and call
Jelly = jelly
Jam = jam
(Jello sells jelly, it’s a brand’)
CEMORE BUTTS I’m from Ireland and we call jelly jelly and we call jam jam!!! 😎👍🏻🇮🇪
Jelly and jam are different. Jelly is just the jell part, jam has pieces of the fruit in the jelly.
“The Shining” replayed?
I like how Dan almost always eats something at the end of videos involving slow mo food 😂
May sound corny but I love how colourful this series is
Who told you that us over here in America say "jam". We say Jello
maximumover yeah jam is a condiment
It was a joke
Hazzer yeah I know
You guys should've had a jelly fight. Maybe even with one of those (i have no idea) air compressors you shot the fruit at each other with.
0:30 instant quality drop
WHY IS THIS CHANNEL SO SATISFYING!
I quote 6:17
Should’ve asked Mark Rober for help on making a giant Jello block.
5;04
I loved that before you skipped a few days, Dans arm wasn’t broken, now it is. That really telling you *some* time has passed
The fact that they failed at first but still tried again became such an inspiration to me ✴
Dan: has a broken arm. “Let’s do it!”
Americans call it jello.... 0:12
Its so sad!!!
"Joke"
no jly
You guys are so sweet. Love this channel
The fact that Dan wore his shoes when 'swimming' in that jelly really upset me.
The things you two do while still getting to call it your job
It's known as "Jello" in America.
Here we are super into the practice of what is known as "genericization".
Where a trademark or brand name becomes synonymous with a particular product or service. Due to it being popular or widely recognized.
This also usually involves modifying the trademark to be more useful in common speech, hence "Jell-O" into "Jello".
Also, here in the US. Jellies are fruit preserves made with the juice of fruit. And Jams are the ones made with the fruit itself as well, it has bits and pieces of one in it.
Hopefully this clears up some of the more confusing parts of American English lol.
Mr Jiggalow...or jiggaslow in this case!
"Kubrick would love that"
'we may have reached critical mess' *no one laughs* awweeeh
OMG it's a hole new state we are going to call IT SOMETHING ELSE
Or jell-o :P
As spongebob put it a "salasquid"
Whole*
And you can have semi-solids and triple points so not a new thing
Gavin was in charge of mixing the first batch, Dan the second.
The jelly flowing out of the box is like something out of the book Jam by Yahtzee.
Gav: Wibbly wobbly jelly!
Dan (offended): oh come on.
God I love you guys!
I know the Slo Mo Guys confused a lot of people here... let me give it to you straight.
Jello is a brand, but it’s what we call any fruit flavored snack with a high ratio of gelatin. Basically it’s jello if it’s bouncy and retains it’s shape.
Jelly is a spreadable fruit concentrate that is much less gelatinised and is more of a semi-liquid.
Jam is the same consistency as jelly, but it contains the seeds and/or the fruit pulp. It’s much less processed. But is still spreadable.
*Me catching up on my UA-cam subscriptions*
“Well, that was a fascinating look at the history of tuberculosis... oh, rad, giant Jello! That next!”
Jams and jellies get their names from where the pectin comes from! Jam uses fruit pulp, jelly uses fruit juices!
You should of put explosives in it
Daniel Falla true
Booooom
Should Of.
Daniel Falla wtf
LOL Flavored Gelatin or Jello is when artificial flavors have been added, we call it Jelly when the gelatin is mixed with real fruit juice, and Jam when the mixture has seeds and or the flesh of the fruit un-strained in it. All the above use Gelatin as a thickening agent.
Dan's hand?
Is that in one of the recent videos? Did they get his arm breaking in slowmo? Which vid??
He broke his thumb
The KnifE why would you make up stuff?
TuhanRock it’s gonna be in a video but it hasn’t come out yet
TuhanRock hand machine broke
“Dead animal carcass” is literally what gelatin is...
It’s called “Jello” in American
Slo mo guys: World’s biggest Jelly!
Mark Rober: Hold my beer
Americans call it jello
The spilled jello looks like what the Mind Flayer was made of
The jelly flood looks like a scene of the shining.
how long would it take at 38000 frames per second over those 38 years?????
Ziltoid 240 I actually did the calculations and it would take 4,599,528,285,273 seconds
That's four trillion, fivehundred ninety nine billion, fivehundred twentyeight million, two hundred eighty five thousand, two hundred and seventy three ceconds
Jesus Christ that's 1458 centuries
Hmmmmm who could have guessed that 3 days are not enough the solidify 3 tons of jelly if a large bowl already needs 2...
Gav: you know what looks great in slow motion? Wibbly wobbly-
Me: timey wimey stuff!
Gav: jelly!
Me:👁👄👁
I love how Dan is the dude who gets to Ben born and Gavin is the giggly clown ❤❤❤
Not quite up there with the discovery of penicillin but certainly more fun.
When you sneeze on your period. 😂
^
KMSSS THIS IS SO OLD WHATT
Why was this recommended in the Minecraft survival guide feed?
WTF we still call it Jell-O not jam!
It's LUNCH TIME 🍴
(by green jelly)
Just show the action.. The scripted talk sounds like an infomercial.
He should have sat in the jell-o and then they released the jell-o from the box.
What kind of jelly????????
It's made from boiled tendons, skin, and bones. Why do you think it stinks? www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/article-3757950/Grizzly-video-showing-gelatin-REALLY-putting-people-gummy-bears-cola-bottles-marshmallows-ice-creams.html
Normally jello taste like fruit
Steph Ss so that's why it tastes so good
It looks like strawberry to md
Dreden Downen idiot? You don't know her.
lol some time has passed. The skateboarding injury, poor Dan. 2 years ago at this point.
Jelly and Jam are different things, Jam generally has fruits, jelly is more smooth
The reason the jelly smelled was probably because they used agar, as it holds its shape better. However, agar is also what is used in Petri dishes 🧫 for bacterial cultures. So the whole thing was basically a giant pour plate. Lolol (even if it was regular gelatin, it’d have the same effect)
please..... tell us what happend to dan's hand PLEASE
If you haven't kept up, this segment was recorded early on in the start of the show. They let the jelly cure for a week, so that is when he broke his arm in one of the first released episodes.
He never broke his arm. They're playing you.
Well, in Australia we call jell-o jelly and jelly jam
Just letting you know, we call it Jell-O. Jelly is a spread you put on toast.
But, seriously, didn't you think about how dangerous it would be if Dann fell on a glass?
We “Americans”😂 call it Jell-O
I like how everyone got ticked of by the simple jello, jam or jelly mistake
in Australia, our jam (strawberry, apricot, raspberry, etc) is Americas Jelly and our Jelly (The jiggle stuff), Americans call Jello.
Excuse me, us Americans call it jelly too!
As an a American I can say I've almost never said Jam.😂
Jelly is what I put on my toast and Jello is a cold bouncy snack.
your jam is our jelly. your jelly is our jello
The thing you put on bread e.g with peanut butter = jam
The thing you eat at parties e.g. The stuff in the video= jelly
"Americans dont call this jelly do they?"
"No they call it like "jam" or something idk"
I cant think of one person in america that calls jelly jam, they must think that we call it jell-o
cos it was a joke...so many Americans in this comment section can't hear sarcasm.
We actually do call it jelly and I have no idea who would call that jam
Continuing even after wound.....
Great Dan...😎
Like if you agree
(Sorry for the last line but it was necessary...)😉
I could smell that jelly from my phone.
There's 3 different things jam is fruit preserves and seeds, jelly is basically seedless jam, and what you're working with is jello
We call gelatin jell-O, we call jam jelly.
0:12
ACTUALLY, let me stop you right there....it is called gelatin but is usually referred to as jello. I think that's because of the brand Jell-o (not sure if that's why but it makes the most sense to me)
Jelly is what goes on pb&j's
You want gelatinius cubes? Because that is how you get gelatinous cubes.
In the US we call those small servings Jell-o or sometimes gelatin
I am American and we call it jell-O since that is the usual brand people get for jell-O
You should do the balloon and jelly only do as loose liquid jelly in a giant red balloon and really make it look like you are being born out of a real womb
I feel like Gav never really get's involved with the meat of the experiment. Or jelly, in this case.
The whole time I was wondering why they wouldn’t eat any until the end.
Kubrick would have loved this-Gavin 😂
When the guys opened up the liquid jello, you know it was scripted because they moved aside before they had it fully opened. If they didn’t know whether or not it was solid how would they know to move aside the second they opened it?
It was a precaution, they had no clue what was gonna happen so they moved just incase. The guys undoing the supports could probably also feel the weight of the jello pushing on the wood.
@@quack_productions1727 hmmm
@@quack_productions1727 1. Why would they somehow happen to already have a slo no camera recording the jello when it was opened, even if they didn’t know if it would be a liquid? And you can see that one of the opening men isn’t surprised when he opens it, and is able to jump away quickly, and even has a smile on his face like he knows what to expect. 2. Dan asks about how it could not be chilled through all the way which foreshadows the fact that the jello is actually liquid and not chilled completely, almost as if they already knew.
"Imagine that minging jelly cast"
We call it jello
No thats jello Jams like a sour version of jelly
All Americans missed the sarcasm of the “jam” joke 🤦🏼♂️
Okay so I've never met anyone who calls jello, jelly.
2:35 - gav loves looking at stuff
Try using ballistic gel. Holds up much better and you can add flavor if you really want to.
We call it jello thank you very much
I love that crack sound they put in at 6:36 when his nose hit the jelly
Looks great on a 1440p 5:1 inch S7
When someone asks why Dan's coat is so dirty
4:43 dead animal carcass is right. Gelatin is made of animal bones so not too far off
I like reading through these comments getting mad about how we call it jelly not jam.
who tf told you americans call jello "jam"
nolie blue lol
Lol its jelly but with an o
I think they are confused between British people calling it "jam", and Americans calling it "jelly" (The stuff you spread on toast)... and British calling it jelly, and Americans calling it Jell-O (The gelatine based food)... I am probably still wrong... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
OffOnOne in America jelly and jam are slightly different
Frl
"It's like dead animal carcasses it's rank"
Yeah because that's what gelatine is lmao
Isn’t it from the bone matter of animals
@@charlize1374 something like that yeah
@@charlize1374 Not just bone. It's got feet, noses, eyes, scraps, etc.
It's just a shame they took that much animal-material and basically wasted it.
Back in the day, this'd feed and help clean the shoes and pans of a village for 10 years.
@@whereami2906 im off jelly then😂
