It's known as "Jello" in America.
Here we are super into the practice of what is known as "genericization".
Where a trademark or brand name becomes synonymous with a particular product or service. Due to it being popular or widely recognized.
This also usually involves modifying the trademark to be more useful in common speech, hence "Jell-O" into "Jello".
Also, here in the US. Jellies are fruit preserves made with the juice of fruit. And Jams are the ones made with the fruit itself as well, it has bits and pieces of one in it.
Hopefully this clears up some of the more confusing parts of American English lol.

I know the Slo Mo Guys confused a lot of people here... let me give it to you straight.
Jello is a brand, but it’s what we call any fruit flavored snack with a high ratio of gelatin. Basically it’s jello if it’s bouncy and retains it’s shape.
Jelly is a spreadable fruit concentrate that is much less gelatinised and is more of a semi-liquid.
Jam is the same consistency as jelly, but it contains the seeds and/or the fruit pulp. It’s much less processed. But is still spreadable.

LOL Flavored Gelatin or Jello is when artificial flavors have been added, we call it Jelly when the gelatin is mixed with real fruit juice, and Jam when the mixture has seeds and or the flesh of the fruit un-strained in it. All the above use Gelatin as a thickening agent.
