The Concrete Concrete book name came about because he had a concrete mixer called "Karl Marx" which he towed behind the Mayoral car in a Christmas Parade here in NZ. Such a character.
I live in the South Island and it's cool seeing where they went that I've been to and also places here I haven't been but would love to go to! This was definitely my favourite series that they've done.
On the bright side, having ruined the vans engine climbing the world's steepest street Hamish and Andy then spent the rest of their NZ trip coasting in neutral.
I use to live not far from where the vampire lived when I went to high school and remembered seeing his kids always going to school in capes and there were rumours of how him and his family slept in coffins lol
I just love how much fun Hamish and Andy find in just some pretty basic stuff. Their child like sense of joy is a pleasure to watch
