I’m very surprised he didn’t touch on this or maybe i’m just dumb.. but i’m pretty sure the lids is a OSFA. which to me is one of the greatest things about the deli containers
Ageeed. I started saving them when we would get Indian and Thai food. Now I have an entire set of small, medium and large containers with lids that I use daily for sauces, leftovers and prep
Umm. How about $0 for “deli containers” (just wash and reuse the takeout containers or cream cheese or yogurt (etc) containers). That’s what we do in our culture lol. Why pay for such a thing?
Growing up (and still to this day) my mom had 600 yogurt containers in our fridge, only one of which contained actual yogurt. So it was always a “find-the-yogurt” game hahaha
Not everyone gets takeout and buys yogurt enough to have a full stock of these. Plus if you buy these as-is, then they are standardized so all sizes will fit all lids and all stack perfectly, plus they're cheap af. MUCH cheaper than ordering takeout enough to have stacks ready 🤣
Thank Adam. I saw your vid on deli containers before. Unfortunately, the 1st time I froze seafood broth in one of them, the container cracked when I opened it. I'll chalk it up to that container being faulty & will try them again.
I work in a kitchen just doing food prep and event serving, but we use these all the time! I love them!! I didn’t know about using them as measuring cups tho, that’s really cool and I’ll keep that in mind!
@@MrEcted Wow ok, so you are also asking if an airtight plastic container is airtight. Interesting. They are. (I wonder how we could test this…maybe the chefs don’t know either 😂).
@@RootinrPootine They're not air tight. It's easy to test, just put liquid in one, snap a lid on, and leave it upside down over night. You'll have a small pool of water. These things leak all the time, but they're still useful.
The act of putting prepped food or leftovers in a reusable plastic container to store in the fridge is such a concept of westerners. For the majority of us living in the east, that just always has been a way of doing things. Sweetshops and bakeries here give you stuff in deli containers that you later reuse for household usage. This just feels like an extension of the historical practice of the west borrowing common sense from the east and making it look extravagant and revolutionary.
No, sorry it’s not. Sir, everyone always does this in the west and has since the 1950s. What’s the video is about is saying that what people use--these plastic type containers at all common stores--they are Name brand “quality” (Tupperware is a good example)--but they are ripping you off. The stuff restaurants use is just as good but cheaper. That’s all the video is about. And even that isn’t really fair. Tupperware last longer so technically they probably are cheaper. It’s really not a big deal as a tip. East and west have borrowed from each other since before the concept of east and west even existed. Hope this helps.
Yoyo. If you dug the tip, come say what up on the O.A. Discord - discord.gg/aFQ4h4BXg4
true, they are the best. I've been using them for a month now, and my kitchen has never been so organized.
This couldn't be more true. These cheap plastic containers are one of my favorite purchases I've made in a long time for my kitchen.
Right? Gamechanger.

What is that?
@@anthonyesposito7 one size fits all
Interchangeable lids!
I would like to try these. What about oily and foods that stain; do you use glass for those? I dont have a dishwasher.
Dear Mr .Adam ,about your show deli container ,our factory manufacturing these products ,if you want buy ,kindly contact with me
Spicy, not spicey
If deli containers are your favorite tool, painters tape must be your second favorite.
Just use dry erase or wet erase marker

1000% changed my cooking as well
If you put something in it with tomato sauce do they stain orange?
I love them as well but find I end up with tons of lids after a while. I’ll have to see if I can find a source that sells them without lids!
LOL. I feel that heavy.

That happens sometimes, but not often in my experience. Remember, part of the reason that they're great is because they're expendable!
Nice thumbnail
Thanks mate.
Couldn't agree more my homie.
not all plastic is "recyclable" "recycling" was invented by plastic companies. and only a select few plastics can actually be recycled.
None of it IS recycled
Do they keep out cockroaches?
Cockroaches can't open lids
You didn't put the 32oz inside the 16oz 😭 that's all I was watching this for, in hope of seeing how the 32oz would fit inside the 16oz 😢
Can I use few clips from this video I am making an ad for deli food containers
I heard they all use the same size lids. If so, that would save a lot of aggravation later on.
What is that green tape product you use for labeling?
Just some painters tape.
A lot of restaurants use this or regular masking tape for labeling. Search for "Scotch green tape"
People start buying deli containers...
The environment leaves the chat really sad.
These plastic containers are totally recyclable. The environment doesn't care what we use as long as we keep using it & not dump it in a landfill.

Is there any brand that you recommend?
Dude we look almost the same.
I was wondering if they can keep dry pantry goods fresh or without becoming stale or is their use more for short term and frozen foods/ broths?
Are you seriously asking if an airtight plastic container is airtight?
@@RootinrPootine No dingus, she's asking if they're even air tight to begin with, which they really aren't.

Ask any restaurant. Rodents love to chew through cheap deli containers.
Rodents can chew through anything if they're determined enough. I've seen them get through metal dumpsters over time. Gnarly stuff.
DELIIIIIIII
Can you get them in bulk and where?
Try a cash and carry restaurant supply store.
And are they waterproof?
All plastic is waterproof. It’s made out of petroleum, a hydrophobic chemical.
You know what’s even cheaper more space efficient and more disposable storage? Ziplock plastic bags. Wait till chefs find out about that holy shit 😮

In some ways we are genius and in other ways we are retarded. There are a lot of norms in the west which are upside down and ass backwards.
