The raised section for your station will work, 40 cm won’t look too dramatic for a retaining wall or embankment. Still in limbo with our house move, the chain has about 20 buyers so it’s going to take ages to go through. New house has a basement room which I think is approx 10x3m, hence I’m keeping a very close eye on your progress. Great video mate- loving your style!
I completely forgot to say on the video that the reason for the change was due to new dimensions looking back to do 10x3 rather than the 4.5 width - which in fairness makes the build somewhat easier due to roof span 👍 it would be so much easier to just have a basement that sounds perfect mate. I much prefer the dig one idea rather than the basic loop should be good.

The introduction of phase 3 with the station looks interesting, but does it not mean that the entire side of four (actually 2) lines will be completely hidden? It seems like an awful lot of track to hide, unless I am missing something. Back to LJ1 and your locos, both weathered and unweathered, look fabulous. I could sit and watch them all day. In fact, some days I do. As for a Christmas Special featuring an actual appearance, I can’t make my mind up. You are virtually the only model rail You tuber who does not show his face and there is something cool about the mystery. Still no sign of your missus, either in a voice over or in picture. The shelf will sit above the scenic section about 18” above and I’d put lights under it to light the below. The computer program makes it look like it blocks it but that’s just how it works. The Christmas special may or may not have a twist of course 😆

The clarity of the video shots is superb. I like the idea of the waiting room as the shed and agree that you should show your mug. So far all we have seen is your hands and forearms which look younger than you sound.

Hi did just watched latest release great camera angles nice one mate I’m in process of building my first garden shed layout so I should be kept busy for a good while 👍
Your plan for your new layout is looking alright, don't forget if your going to want roads and moving vehicles on them to put that in your plans before you start. I went and got that machine, if you want any brick walling/retaining walls that's all still way off, work in progress, it's going to take a few weeks even to get the machine going as a couple of clips shook loose in transit and two ceramic elements dropped down and ripped the wires out. If you want anything making quick you could send me something that you get from someplace else and some plastic sheets in the material and thickness you want it in and I could duplicate the one you send me from a cast mould of it, other than that I'm looking on get an 18,5kw inverter and possibly an old Hass mini mill to do some different brick and retaining walls moulds but I'll be on a learning curve with all that and I need to sell a few things first but I'll be trying to nock something up with my mates 3D printer possibly in the meantime.
Yeah there’s still loads of planning to do I’ll not forget 👍 That’s a shame that the machine sustained some damage hopefully fixes up ok. Exciting times, at some point I need to go down the 3D printing wormhole
You didn’t miss anything at the NEC to be honest Dave, it was much smaller than Warley used to be, ended up being a little meh. However it seemed well supported, so all being well, it will improve as time goes on. Thankfully managed to get some cheap train tickets from Preston, so not too much cost. Good fun video as usual 👍🏻

Hi Dave, have you had disconnecting issue with your 66? i only ask as i have had loads with mine and with LJ2 you have a similar loop back and just wanted to say it would need to be at least 4th radius on the inner line ... not sure about seeing your Face might be a bit too scary that
I think they’re minimum fourth from memory. No mate no disconnect issues but it’s only ever ran that train it’s got now to be fair. I can’t remember if it’s standard connector, Kadee or hornby magnetic though I’ll check when I get chance and get back to you 👍👍
Aup Karl, I went up today my 66 still is rocking a tension lock coupling - I haven’t got round to swapping it as I’ve got nowt spare at the minute 🤯👍 Can’t say any more than mine doesn’t uncouple on this particular train but I haven’t swapped things around much 👍
Maybe all your followers could send you a picture of themselves and if you spot one at the show you can decide if you want to reveal who you are to them....just an idea
Forgot to mention, with all that ballasting coming up, save loads of money by using sand. Sieve out the dolphins and submarines and your ready to go! Needs to be beach sand though, don’t nick it off a building site 😉
