Absolutely brutal conclusion to a great campaign. Your enthusiasm and energy is so infectious as you're playing and it has been so much fun to follow along.
I know I'm super late to this, but I've been watching this campaign over the last few days and it has been an utter joy to watch. Five Parsecs is one of my favorite games and watching someone play it with such enthusiasm and excitement is truly inspiring. I caught the bug from watching and I've just rolled up a new crew to play through a new campaign. I hope you revisit Five Parsecs in the future. Katria deserves a shrine or something on your shelf. What an incredible character she turned out to be throughout this series. Such a fitting end that Captain Nix met his end at the tip of her blade.
Epic conclusion, Trev! I think Katria really ended up being the overall MVP. And that final shot of the combat...chef's kiss! Such a cinematic way to finish such a brutal fight.
10 agonizing rounds for vendetta and finally, revenge is served. RIP Kael, Mara and Vine Thank you Trevor for the amazing solo wargame run. Can't wait for you to go back into solo RPG whenever you're ready!
What a great finale, there can be a million great twists and turns but at the end its hard to beat a grim battle to the bitter end between sworn enemies. This was such a great run, I had played 5 leagues before. I was forced to get 5 parsecs as well.....And immediately proceeded to roll a captain with Revenge as his motivation.
I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this campaign. The energy and enthusiasm you brought to this series will infectious! I'm definitely going to pick up a copy of 5PFH in the near future. Great work!!
The timing of these adverts is great... At the end he looks up at the captain and says, "Experience the indulgent and luxurious taste of Ferrero Rocher in a premium high-quality chocolate bar"!
I hereby argue that Vine is still alive - he was knocked out, but his team held the field so nobody could have come and finished him off. I'm gonna head-canon a scene where Katria comes over with her bloody sword, kicks him until he wakes up, and then tells him to stop being a big baby as she offers him a hand.
Amazing! Lot's of tension. And Katria is a crazy goddess 😂 You know, technically Vine should be alive since been taken out with 3 Stuns doesn't roll on the casualty table 😉 I'm sad that this series is ending. It inspired me on mine. I hope to see more scifi from you in the future (but I'm sure Season 4 with be great nonetheless!)

As for the ending, I found myself thinking “Yes, you had your revenge…but was it worth it? Look at the crew you lost. They all gave their lives so you could pursue your need for vengeance.“ 😢❤
I went to sleep listening the playlist of the second season, and woke up with Five Parsecs From Home. And I'm alone in my room. How's that possible? LOL.

My question is would you roll up a new crew and ply again? It was fun to watch. It feels like this could have been a weekend play. How do you feel about the win? I feel like the crew that died, shocked me. I would have never picked them from the beginning. I was thinking maybe the captain would sacrifice himself to save even one of his crew. It was a great play through and I have adopted some of your technique to my own play style. It has made my game better for me.
Loved this series, Trevor! SPOILERS... I was so sad when you spent a story point to try to save Vine (and it didn't work) and then immediately had to let Mara die because you needed to save your last story point. 😭💔 It sucked that Kael died too. He was kind of under-played character, but as the sole non-human I always thought he was cool and mysterious. I'm glad Captain Ganimer got his revenge, but Catria was the true main character of this story! 😅 What a badass.
One day, Ganimer will hunt down Gaarnak and kill the last member of the vendetta... But for now he rests... Now next series can follow Gaarnak hunting down the captain!
In the prerolls, I noticed a lot more information provided for the enemies (Black Dragon Mercs) that I don't seem to have in my 3rd ed book. Mine says nothing of Lts and Specs carrying Glare.Swords? Is that a different edition? Or is that one of the supplement books?
