Loved the detail!! Exactly what I needed as a female. I changed oil but did not know about the filter. So will get filter and drain oil again. I know it's crucial to keep the oil changed to keep any engine lasting a long time. I thought my mower was dusty and looked rough but I feel better after seeing yours....lol. Thanks for the great video.....Texas grandma dog lover
I come back to see your video every time I change the oil to my tractor, which is every year. Please do not remove you video, it's the best and to the point. I am very happy to see that I am not the only one who has their tractor dirty. But looking good in the inside, right?
We have a craftsman yts 3000 mower similar to the one in this video. It's SO MUCH EASIER to disconnect the deck from the tractor, slide it out and flip it over, then change the blades. Don't have to worry about the mower falling on you then. Only takes about 4 minutes to pull the deck out, too.
+zcamaross09 this video might help me since i may need to replace the oil filter replace the blades and probably change the oil along with replacing the muffler since its cracking alot
I forgot to mention that I have the exact tractor as yours. So if you do any other repairs to it please upload them, besides the ones you have. I had a hell of a time removing the tires but after 4 hours I did it. My left light is not working even after I put a new light bulb on it, do you know how I could fix this? Also, could you show me how to level the lawnmower part. Gracias from Mexico *.* I learn by seeing, so thank you for your time.
RE: A HELPFULL HINT !!!The ANTI BACKFIRE SOLOIND on the bottom of the fuel bowl is a big problem on these Craps'man mowers. It will not allow the mower to start and run when it goes bad. Between $60. and $70.00t replace, unscrew it and cut off the plunger then reinstall to fix the no start problem. I just did, and it now starts every time.
I have a question, at 1:09 in this video there is a black plastic things covering up the spindle pulleys. Do you have any idea what the actual name for it is? Mine broke and I need a new one but cannot find it online, Thank you.
+Scorpiorulesu I always fill the filter on any oil change. Car, truck, etc. Just prevents dry starts. When you change the oil, and the filter is empty, on startup, the oil pump has to pump oil to the filter, fill it, then pushes it through the engine. Filling the filter first minimizes the time it takes after starting the engine for the oil to reach vital components.
please let me know why my ariens sierra 154oh riding mower barely run n forward but has top speed n reverse? And d steering wheel is very hard to turn!

The light could be a bad socket or corrosion in the socket. All I've done to mine, other than oil changes and blades, was replace the belts last year.
This is exactly what I was looking for . Thank you. Do you plan on making a video on how to replace a deck belt?
+brnchk44 eventually. May do it within the next few weeks. I'm sure my mower is due this year.

Hey do I need to remove the spark wire from spark for blade removal
+Scott Pigeon no. Spark plug wire does not have to be removed from spark plug for blade removal.
I never seen anyone fill the oil filter before the screw it back in. Is this accurate?

I have the same mower and it won't start. Any idea what's wrong?
+Nick Copek fuel, air, spark. Check the basics.
Yeah. found the issue and I just fixed it not too long ago.
Can I use Mobil 1 5w30 full synthetic oil?
I'd use what the mower manufacturer recommends.
+zcamaross09 what does the carburetor look like?
do u have the drive belt diagram for that mower that you could provide me please?
+brans sorry, I do not.
+zcamaross09 it's ok I have it now thank you for your reply
+brans glad you were able to find it. 👍
+zcamaross09 yes thank you
+brans I do not. Sorry. Can probably locate with a Google search.
Why show the dip stick no-one can see the level
that is not the right oil for your machine use briggs and strattons oil
oil is oil does not matter what brand you use
