How to install blinds - inside mount installation

Learn how to fit blinds inside mount into the recess with only a few simple tools.
The window is UPVC so the wooden blinds need to be spaced away from the window handle so the slats are free to move up and down.
You can see what's in the box, learn how to fit the brackets to the inside of the window recess and how the blinds are operated with step by step instructions.
These shuttermatch blinds are made from real wood like Basswood, and provide a really tight slat closure and minimise the light coming through the blind as the slats do not have any visible holes in when they are closed which provides a really neat look.
Installing faux blinds will be done in the same way as installing these real wooden blinds. They can be fitted inside the recess (Inside mount) or outside the recess (outside mount). It is possible to install the brackets to the ceiling if required.
Mark the position of the box brackets in the recess, these can be fitted sideways upwards or straight into the window frame. The headrail of the blind simply slots into these box brackets. A top pelmet is then fitted onto the headrail to cover it up.

what kind of drill did you use...can you provide the model? What it the screws/drill do not go in, could it be there the wall has a steel plate?

It would be a standard 18v drill with the hammer setting and then turn it to the screw setting to pilot the screws in but I use a screwdriver to wind in the screws to be honest

At 2:47, where can I get the gray plastic which has the string wound over it? That plastic-part or "roller" is broken and I am unable to find it in Lowes. Any thoughts how I can replace it? Thank you!

😂 In the reality, my drill can t do it so close to the ceiling. The wall is so hard that I need my two hands and I can t use a vaccum cleaner! Also, I can't pierce in the middle, maybe a piece a metal behind? 😂But thanks!

Have plaster board (everywhere in New build) and reluctant to drill into upvc frame. Bound bracket doesn't extend wall to wall. Plaster board is SO weak and feeble in worried I can't attach the same thungs... Help
