The Rita I like the most, the angelic 16-year-old teenager, natural, spontaneous, outgoing, cheerful, expressive, passionate, barefoot on stage, Brazilian soul, singing in Portuguese with a magnificent bossero style... Elis Regina's granddaughter? Analu Sampaio's older sister? No, just a Catalan with enormous talent, obvious musical genes and an absolutely marvellous and enviable happiness and desire to enjoy every moment of her life. Simply Rita Payés. And her companions, of course, are of luxury, difficult to find better ones, all contagious by Rita's joy, all of them as if in a trance, bringing out the best of themselves. Ignasi's solo on the piano, really amazing.
No sé exactamente qué decir.

All is perfect, beyond anything one can expect, and the piano solo is a text book exemple of how to install swing and drama since the first note and make it grow till the end. For me the best Ignaci Terraza solo.
There are a only a few excellent bossa / jazz singers in the world. There are even fewer excellent trombone players. There is only one Rita Payés. What a wonder!

This new generation will carry on and I really am encouraged that the future of jazz is in good and most loving hands.
+1000 It's great to see these talented young musicians carrying the torch for the older styles of music. They could make more money with a whole lot less work if they applied their talents to pop. Good for those who still love the old stuff that they don't. Bravo, Mr. Chamorro for teaching them. I love that you MUST be teaching them to restrain the urge to play too many notes to fast. What they are doing is so much more appealing than the 200 bpm rush of chromatic scales. Blech!

I wish my trombone teacher Sam Koty (1915-1979) could see this. Rita is the embodiment of everything I love in this music. Poise, great voice and her trombone solo only improves every time I listen to it. Brilliant and yet totally tuned into the ebb and flow of this fine piece. This is probably not only the best version of the piece by the Brazilian Dvajan, but conceivably the best of this genre. Rita Payes has the heart and musical attunement of Billie Holiday, courageous joy, and the trombone chops to match! God help me. I think I'm in love.

You know the piano is good when he has the whole band dancing ! This is Jazz !
What a big smile shines in my musical soul when the man at the piano starts playing his part, i really love you man!
She is so bossa nova lovely! Rita, Andrea,
Alba are jewels of modern jazz!!!
What fabulous bossa and musicians ! Great pianist and trombonist.Thank you for the sound.
I watch this any time I need my spirit lifted
Same! 😊
GENIAAAAAL!!
Good god that piano solo was incredible
He outdid himself as did Rita. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That guy is a raw killer... my mind is shot.
In every solo he does, there's always a moment when he takes off and take us with him.
SquareB0t And he's blind!
Yes!! Having noticed that a while back, I agree completely. The Force runs deep with this one.
I love to watch the bass player's face. His joy is infectious ☺️
When Rita plays, I think she knows where she's going and knows just how to get there! Very nice!
One of the finest Bossa Nova performances in UA-cam history.
Sorry friend but this composition is not exactly bossa nova. It is a "sambão" (big samba). There is a soft diference. I'm a brazilian percussionist.
this is the greatest performance in youtube history
Great song. Great playing. Great singing. The pianist took it over the hill in his solo! Excellent!
I’ve been watching Rita Payas since she was a young girl singing with St Andrew school in Barcelona. She so awesome!!
What a Beautiful young Lady, Sings Plays Excellent.
Rita Payes is Fantastic, both Vocals and Trombone.
why can I like this only one time. Not fair. God, its ... ... amazing, beautiful, a gift?
great trombone solo!!!
Guau!!!
Rita! You are killing it! Master musicians teaming with little kids with so much talent. A big "thank you" to Joan Chamorro.
Coincido plenamente.
Chamorro, indiscutodo hacedor de talentos y gran ensayista/coordinador.
Andrea Motis, la mejor de todas!
Adorable como ejecutante, como cantante solista o segunda voz.
