- Here's my second 8-bit track, What does it matter how my heart breaks from Stage 2 of Everywhere at the End of Time by The Caretaker / James Leyland Kirby. Track C3 from Stage 2.
I got this idea from Bonnie.

I can’t tell whether you’re saying that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I enjoy hearing a different version of these songs, to be honest. Another one to get stuck in my head.

Sounds like the nighttime version of Its Just a Burning Memory, like in some of the pokemon games they'd have different songs for the towns depending on time of day. It sounds like that.

The protagonist has a mission back on level 1, the night is on the horizon..
As the night grows, so does the protagonist dementia.....
If there was dialogue for when the protagonist enters the level: “huh, I don’t think I’ve seen this place before... why did [quest giver] say I was here before? Whatever.”
Friend of protagonist: “Hey! Protagonist! How are you buddy?”
Protagonist: “Hey there... buddy?”
“Did [quest giver] send you here?”
“I think they did? I have no idea, but why are you here?”
“What do you mean”
“We’re somewhere I’ve never been too before, I’m confused as to why you’re here.”
“This is-, this is your home town.”
“Really? Huh.”
*the protagonist goes to complete the stage while he slowly forgets the familiar people they once knew*

hadrian. Well for some reason stage 3 has 3 versions of it, idk why. It's pretty difficult making 8 bit creepy / depressing though.
