How to tune a Collins 30L1 with KWM2A transceiver

I follow this procedure using the 30L1 manual...
On the KWM2A reads plate 200mA...power out put maximum 80W
On the 30L1 meters reads D.C.AMPS 0.6mA (for tunning) (Should be closer to 0 A)
During SSB operation you can read 0.35mA
Power out was 500W on 20 meters bands.

Cool, I just got one of these, I still have to get all of the interconnect cables and an external T/R relay, but looking forward to using it soon.

You should definitely have a dummy load. Guys like you tuning up on the air are extra discourteous and are poor operators.

If you take this long to tune an amplifier with this kind of tube, you'll wreck it.
