And I noticed that jesy and jade are kinda like opposites when dancing lol like jade is more loose with her dancing meanwhile jesy is more sharp and I'm glad I'm not the only one how different jesy dances now compared to the salute tour either way as long as she's enjoying herself and having fun idc
am I the only one who's in love with the way leigh dances in the Bridge of Joan of Arc when they turn around? I think it looks so good when she does it haha
I think it’s because Perrie got more vocals and high notes that make her a little lazy on dancing. Also the “laziness” didn’t ruin the performance at all, overall it’s still great, you won’t notice the small issues if you don’t observe their dance moves very carefully.
That not true. They only say that because most of the time when she is singing she doesn't really dance too much or doesn't dance at all, but when she is done she continues the choreography
@@AlwaysLM2011 she herself did say she thought the was the weakest then her and all the girls also talked about how much she has improved. Jesy tends isnt the most versatile dancer but she is great. Leighanne isn't a very powerful dancer where as jade and perrie are. Them two are just natural at it now and never miss a beat.
I’d say Jesy is still the best dancer she has her lazy moments and sometimes you can tell the difference when it’s a song she really loves to perform vs a song she’s just doing her job with but overall she’s still the best dance to me Leigh Anne and jade are pretty much on the same level in my opinion I will say that Leigh doesn’t have as many lazy moments as the other girls and perrie although she has improved so much over the years she half asses a lot so it’s easy to over look her growth
I really appreciate how Leigh and Perrie improved over the years proving that rhythm is truly can be learned. I also noticed that the LM5 Tour was off a little but as (the only person I can say I enjoy doing the Touch break is Jade and on rare occurrences Perrie). But I thought the second Woman Like Me break was supposed to look like chicken arms cause thats what they've all looked like to me. Hopefully the Summer Tour will choreography more similar to Glory Days because that era had the best choreo. And they should bring back some old ones like the original choreo to Power & Hair and the Summer Hits Salute choreo (that's my favorite Little Mix dance). And I'd wish they'd perform some non singles. I think we all want to see Grown, Lightning & Down & Dirty again. This was a great video and very insightful. It made me appreciate Jesy's dancing more. I came into the fandom during the LM5 era and I rarely watch the Salute Tour because of those horrendous outfits so I never knew how much of a beast she used to be.
I never expected that I would watch a 30 minute video on their dancing but I thoroughly enjoyed it. You’re commentary is what I’ve also noticed but couldn’t really speak on because I don’t have a dance background. Fantastic video!!
Im with Meghan, I thoroughly enjoyed it too!I did not think I was going to watch all of it. And I agree with a lot of what you said. My only thing is that for the laziness, I think that was bound to happen since I scheduled a messy close to three tours back to back to back. And the touch dance break for LM5 was a complete disaster each time
I think the biggest problem with Leigh was confidence she didn't have that in the past (she said it herself), now it seems that she has become stronger, empowered. It's beautiful ✨✨✨
I really think the reason why Jesy is not dancing as she used to is that she needs to keep up with the girls. if you watched her videos before she joined Little Mix, the moves were incredible and something that not anyone can do, while Little mix's dancing is more feminine and fluid, so she needs to tone it down because they are dancing as a group, not individuals. Not to mention that they always need to do something that all of them can do. If you see the recent video she posted On Tik Tok, that was sick and her dancing was on point. As a group and having to sing the whole time, it's almost impossible for them to do such choreo . She's not training like she's used to, he dance routines are not as sharp as what's she's used to before and in the beginning of Little mix. You can notice it in their songs too, they are really few songs that bring out Jesy's real voice and what she's capable of, but in most of their songs, you can clearly see that's she's holding back because the songs that don't suit her voice as much as they do for the other girls.
YO 3:07 As a dancer I totally get that "putting on a show" thing! Took me while before I realised despite being severely uncool, I had to start pretending to be cool on stage xD And that really helped to build my confidence :)
I don’t know if this is a valid explanation but a lot of wild sh*t happen during the LM5 tour, such as half of them being sick for most of it and it also was their first tour while not being controlled by Syco. I guess such a big change must play a role in how you feel inside and it can unfortunately show outside. The same goes for when they cancelled their tour in Australia, as we all know it wasn’t their choice to do so then maybe there were some stuff going on that we don’t know about and it may, in a way, have affected their behavior. Then again, it’s just a very wild guess. As for Jesy it seems to me that she looks like she’s trying to find a new style ? Idk, that’s how I see it personally
Tbh perrie is very good with her core and hips now, she is also hitting alot more moves hard then she used to, im proud of her, i just think they are more comfortable so they dont feel the need to hit it as hard, THEY ARE AMAZING GODDESSES STILL< PERIODT.
Hot take: Leigh Anne is Little Mix’s best dancer. For me, while Jesy is LM’s strongest dancer, she got slightly lazy after Salute and ever recovered. Perrie got good in Get Weird but declined into more lazy Glory Days onwards, while Jade got lazy during Glory Days. Leigh Anne never slips into laziness, and only improves with every tour. It’s only up for her.
I just love watching Jesy dance, it makes me so happy, but let’s be honest they’re all such amazing dancers and they’ve all improved a lot, they always give 110% and serve with every performance
I loved this video (quite distracting and made me go back to see a move all over again to realize what you were pinpoiting, but awesome either way), congratulations and thank you for the effort! But something I was thinking whilst watching... I never saw Perrie as a lazy dancer, I always thought since dancing isn't her strongest suit, she just decided to have more fun than perfect the movements.
I tried to give as much time as I could but 30 mins seemed to be stretching it as is lol. It's not her strong suit which is why she marks it and I personally don't have much of a problem when the marking is subtle like in the power example. But when it crosses over into full-out not executing a movement, then it's just lazy.
I still think Jade is the best. I prefer her loose movements compared to Jesy's sharp ones. At times it doesn't even seem like Jesy is doing the full dance moves compared to the other girls. The improvement of Perrie and Leigh Anne is amazing!!!
Idk I feel like the choreo for LM5 was made for Jade and Jade alone. It was heavily based off the drag scene and not a style lots of people can do especially when they're unfamiliar with it. With Glory Day, they all looked good and excelled as a group.
The only choreo that was really based on the "drag scene" was Wasabi though. They whole had stepping in Power. And Bounce Back was very 90s inspired. Aside from that most of their choreo was similar to what they typically do.
In my opinion Leigh is the best dancer, then Jesy then Jade and then Perrie. Leigh has great limbs and her movements are sharp fierce, Jesy also have sharp movements and have an amazing stage presence. Jade Is more a go with the flow, not in a bad way I actually enjoy it, she makes the dances look easy and her facial expression jeez I’m proud. Our Perrie is still working hard but I can’t say she didn’t improve because she did and a lot, but some times she under dance like some times Jesy over dances but she is still much better then me. Overall they are all great dancers they all have their strengths and their weaknesses.
to me, I'd say 1. Jade (for the sole reason that she's CONSISTENT and has been one of the best, if not the best, at dancing in the group). I get what you're saying with the spaghetti arms though. Sometimes she flows too much that it makes the moves look borderline lazy. Jade's very fluid but she balances it with some hard-hitting too. I also love her performance skills. 2. Jesy is definitely the cleanest out of the lot when she's not hitting it too hard. Unlike Jade, when she hits it hard, sometimes Jesy doesn't make the moves look effortless. She's definitely a PERFORMER though. 3. Leigh because this girl works her butt off and it SHOWS. Her lines impress me, for someone who doesn't have a background in dance. Her stage presence definitely grew over the years. 4. Perrie. I'm just scared that it'll get to the point where she stops trying because the other 3 are improving at a much faster rate. It's a shame because she can definitely dance!! Also, can we PLEASE give credit to Pez and Leigh for keeping up with Jade and Jes who had dance experience before joining LM. The fact that Leigh and Pez can blend in so well despite the lack of training and experience: they deserve recognition for that!!
I feel like swap Leigh and Jade because leigh is far more consistent even in the early days and her precision, control and lines are a lot better than Jade that combined with her much improved stage presence and personality is why I think leigh turned out as the best dancer in my opinion.
I do feel like from what little I've seen of their live performances from the lm5 era they're overall performing a bit weaker than we expect, but I wonder if it's so jarring in part because it follows GD, where, at least personally, I feel like they were collectively at their best.
The reason why Jesy lost a little bit of control during dancing on their early years is because people were constantly bullying her online. To the point where she admitted that she didn't care if the performance was good all she wanted was to hear the public say that she looks good and she lost weight. Poor Jesy, but overall she's still a great dancer. I can't even do her moves its too hard.
I’ve always mesmerized by Jade on stage, maybe her dancing isn’t always perfect but her vibe? Unmatched, and I feel like that’s why she is often called Little mix best dancer, because she is so good at performing. I feel like Leigh Anne and Perrie have improve so much and I would love to see a comparison with new songs like sweet melody and confetti
I feel like Jade is just stage presence and personality, but she is sloppy and lazy sometimes. In terms of actual technique, Leigh overtakes her because she developed her style and persomnality as well and her control and precision and clean lines is dead consistent.
I think Leigh's a bit conscious while dancing like what will be the next move do I remember it etc. She has definitely improved much. Also agreed jade's stamina(which was also evident in her vocals as she had issues with breath control sometimes) was a problem during long tours but that's all right i mean they are humans and they get tired af after such a huge schedule
I always love how Jesy dances. Like you said the storytelling with her expressions etc was the reason why I liked her dancing more than the other girls. I like how other girls dances as well but I just think I like sharpness more than smoothness. That's why Leigh Anne actually stepped up for me. Jade and Leigh are equal to me now and if Perrie gets better with the laziness I think she would be equal too. Also for the LM5 tour (there are no excuses it's life ofc) but I think maybe bc of the documentary Jesy didn't have as much as time to prepare herself as she did for the previous tours? Just a thought. Lastly, even though I hope the summer tour happens it possibly won't bc of the virus they probably won't have enough time to rehearsal but still, I hope it happens in the future if not this summer. Love your video btw it was really really good
Thank you! I think maybe the tour canceling as far as the dancing goes (obviously it sucks as a whole that it had to be cancelled) will actually be good. I think they need more time and new choreo before we'll see an improvement. It's really hard to break old/bad habits you developed while doing the same choreo so I'm kind of hoping they just kind of ditch a lot of the lm5 choreo and get some new routines and take enough time to rehearse.
I feel like they kinda had something to prove with the glory days tour if that makes sense? Glory days was their first really sexy, adult album, after Get Weird which was a far more light album; Glory days just *sizzled* more, where Get Weird was more youth-centric. LM5, they already had the recognition as grown women and didn't really have to prove it.
Perrie was sick for half of the LM5 tour, so I’m sure that had an effect on her dancing. I know I half-ass a lot of things when I’m consistently sick. Also, they had to change most of the choreography they used in the LM5 tour since they switched labels, so new choreography could also be a reason they struggled during this era.
doesitmatter I know they do new choreo every tour, but before they changed labels, they kept some of it consistent to what they had done before. They weren’t allowed to this time around.
My eye has always been drawn to jesy in choreo just her energy attitude. I also always loved jade as a dancer too. Kind of on the opposite side of jesy she just seems chill af compared to the high energy passion in Jesys performance. Also in the last 4 years especially in the glory days plus and the recent sweet melody performances I’ve been very drawn and in love with her dancing.
Why where perrie's parts so short? I mean I think she has improved so much over the years. I still know when the LM5 era started and lm where on the voice of Holland, everyone was impressed with her dancing. I mean, I dance myself and I really like how smoothly (is that correct English?) she dance. I also really like her part in Joan of arc. And her belly dance😂
Each part was within seconds of each other for the most part and that was done by design. Perrie has improved a lot in her dancing as I said and showed in the video. She looked good on the voice. I don't have anything to say really because on broadcasts it's very difficult to see the dancing with all the cuts and closeups. I don't have an opinion on any of the girls in that performance dance-wise because of that. Perrie's dancing doesn't stick out to me as being particularly smooth but that's up to interpretation. I also never said anything about her in joa and I complimented the control she has over her hips.
In my opinion I feel like they were rushed into too many tours and it was too stressful and they probably just didnt have the time or energy to rehearse the way they usually do. At least for the more recent tours and stuff. Idk
I seem to be disagreeing with the majority here, but I enjoy Leigh's dancing the least for some reason.. maybe it's because it seems she is very "aware" of her dance moves, it looks like she's thinking about them a tad too much. That being said, i still LOVE all of them as performers 😍😍
I think she thinks about the moves a lot bc as soon as she messed up people used to say she’s not good enough to be in the group and that she should be kicked out so it’s probably a in her head thing but she’s definitely has more of stage presence now
I think this video is awesome and I know that you mentioned that Jesy's dancing during the GW era seemed off compared to the other ones and I think during that time she wasn't feeling as confident as she normally is.
I don't know anything about dancing, but I really enjoyed your analysis. on the other hand, I think that in the LM5 era everything was very rushed and that damage their dancing a lot
I think I preferred GD era choreography as a whole compared to LM5. There were strong moments of choreo in LM5 (like woman like me, wasabi and joan of arc), but I did like GD choreo for salute, power and touch. That is just my opinion though Thanks for a great video though! Must have taken you ages 😂
Wow, I finished the whole video. Lol. Jadesy has always been my favorite ship in terms of singing, dancing, harmonies, even personalities. Both of them are still the best dancers for me. Jesy could be better, but I prefer Jade's dancing more. Her stage presence is just insane. Her added lip bites, winks, and anything else makes her really stand out when you look at them as a whole. But because of this video, I get to appreciate Lerrie's dancing as well. Both of them really improved throughout the times. Just to add more compliments, I think Perrie is their best singer, with Jade as close second and Leigh as the most improved, even an all-rounder.
I don't wanna compare. I'm a Jade stan but I love all of them equally and I love their style in dancing. So... For me Jade and Jesy. And Perrie and Leigh-Anne.
I just finished watching this video and you did such a great job! I really hope Jesy will improve her dancing again. We’ll see when this whole corona thing is over if the LM5 tour was just a phase. What I honestly don’t like about their dancing is that sometimes they’re not doing the same dance moves. For example at 23:30 all the girls have their hands on their thighs except for Leigh. It still looks really good, but it would look better in my opinion if they did the same thing. I’m just nitpicking though lol. Choreography wise GD is my favorite era. I wish they would’ve kept some of their older choreographies like Touch, but it wouldn’t be Little Mix if they didn’t change up their performances! Also what you wrote at 2:59 is exactly what Leigh said in that truth or wine game. It’s really cool how you figured it out by watching her dancing throughout the years.
Thank you! 😊 I've got my fingers crossed for Jesy. I really want her to refocus on her dancing a bit. If I'm 100% honest, there's a little voice in my head that's worried the dancing from LM5 might be here to stay but I'm trying to be positive cause it was only 2 months out of almost 9 years of their career. Those little things bother me constantly haha. They're all guilty of them and they're usually ingrained into their muscle memory so it's like that every show and it always makes my eye twitch lol. But I do try not to nitpick them like that since they're not dancers by profession. I love GD choreo. I want LM6 to be more like that. And now she rocks it!
doesitmatter Thank you for answering! All we can really do is wait and hope. I’m excited to see what this new era will have in store for us and I’m also excited for new dance routines!
I feel like if u are the type to who like to mark moves to memorize it, u have to be extra aware of your movements because u might not separate practice from actual performance that's why our coach always tell us to do a run where we go full out.
I’m going to make an assumption and say that Jesy’s dancing got worse due to her confidence getting worse with each year like at the end of 2015 her confidence had plummeted and she never seemed the same since. Only recently has she came back like she used to. I’d love to here what people think though.
Her dancing on the LM5 tour is actually probably the worst it's ever been. There was a bit of improvement from Get Weird to DW and SSOT which could be cause of the mental health improvement but come the Glory Days UK leg, they'd been touring so long that it was sloppy again but to be fair they all weren't at their best on the UK leg cause of that (I'm assuming). Her dancing on tiktok was actually very good and I hope that's what we see when they can finally perform again. There wasn't really an improvement at meerkat (specifically thinking of wlm) but she was wearing something really difficult to dance in so I don't want to give that too much significance.
doesitmatter it’s just hard to see especially when she has so much potential and is already a good enough dancer as it is but then seeing her use her full potential, I also think it’s weird how her dancing especially in LM5 is weak despite it being very hip hop focused which seems to be her strongest genre of dance. Like I said I wonder if it was a confidence issue as you see top dancers who were at their prime like Britney Spears yet still have some performances where she wasn’t her best like there was a big difference between different shows in the onyx hotel tour. Hopefully jesy can regain her lost confidence because her dancing in salute especially was exceptionally good for them being a vocal focused group. Thanks for the answer back though I appreciated what u had to say :)
@@superubymsp9957 Of course! I like having discussions about this stuff. I also dislike seeing where her dancing evolved to on the LM5 tour. I don't think it discounts the other 10 years of her dancing but it is disappointing. I don't know much about Britney so I'll have to take your word for it haha. I think the LM5 choreo probably started her off at a disadvantage because it's not very structured. She does best at the big dance breaks or big dance songs (power, wlm, salute) that require a lot of practice and attention to detail whereas things like JOA, TAU, wasabi, touch, etc don't look like they get the same kind of attention in rehearsals that choreo for things like lightning, down & dirty into dna, how ya doin opening, salute on LM5 tour, salute summer hits tour, etc. did and so it's easier to slip into sloppiness. I actually wonder what her dancing looks like in rehearsals. Like if it's actually very nice and where it falls apart a bit is on tour.
doesitmatter it is true that some dancers find it better in harder dance routines and in slower or easier routines it’s just a bit less comfortable or like you say structured for them, as I did dance when I was younger I personally find slower and “sexier” choreography a bit more my style but that’s just because I get to show off my personality through it so she probably feels the same through them harder routines, she rarely under dances but can sometimes put a bit too much power into her moves, but her stage presence is always there it’s weird to think that her confidence was barely there about herself but on stage she seemed like she had the most, really respect that just shows her love for performing so much. Side note: I just remembered I did their choreography to salute and it raised my heart rate quite a lot I was sweating buy the end of it since I’m not used to super powerful routines haha so that was interesting
@@superubymsp9957 Yeah, their true dance breaks will really work up a sweat haha. I've played around with a few myself for fun. I don't necessarily see her as being uncomfortable with the more relaxed routines cause she does seem to enjoy them and getting to be sexy and cheeky (although like you said it's difficult to say for sure as she is a true performer and is very good at putting on a show on stage) but those routines are not typically where her best dancing comes from.
Do you think that the use of headmicrophones help or did worse on them? 🤔 btw I love your video ❤ I really needed something like that because is constructive criticism to see the evolution and technique of the girls 💕
Solar Rawr do I think the head mics helped with their dancing? I mean, in theory it frees up their hands so they can dance more freely and have better lines but in reality I think it doesn’t make much of a difference. They still have the issues they have. So like Jade and Jesy struggle with lines, they’re still going to struggle with them whether they have both hands free or not. And for actual dance breaks, they usually hand the mics off to the dancers anyway. Head mics just eliminate that step.
I think it would be awesome if you could review their most popular/best/underrated dance breaks not part of their tour. (Like Brit’s performances, festivals, etc)
Unfortunately the editing of official performances makes it very difficult to get a decent idea of the dancing. Directors like to cut away to the crowd, do closeups, do weird angles like BW 2017 cut to a weird shot behind them a lot.
Well it's true, especially Jesy. When I see her moves in the Salute tour and compare them with her moves in the Lm5 tour it's so different. I wanna also state an opinion but I'm afraid that you might think it's body shaming.
@@doesitmatter_YT I honestly don't know what to call it, it's actually a fact but I'm afraid people might take it in the wrong way and think it's body shaming.
@@doesitmatter_YT well I'll just try here and if you think it's offensive then delete it. What I meant to say is what is happening to jesy is probably because of her body, as you know the person grows up and their bodies change and so their abilities change either to better or worse. Like if you notice in Down & Dirty and Bounce Back in both jade's parts, where in the choreography they have to bend down and then arch their backs then they straightening their back. Jesy doesn't arch her back in those two. I also wondered maybe she overworked herself just to look skinny and then that affected her in some way.
N. Queen N. Queen I think that comment is fine. To arch her back in d&d, she’d have to have more control over the movement and she usually doesn’t. She typically just flings herself forward. She’s supposed to dip her head down which is supposed to help facilitate the arch if you follow that movement through. Occasionally on tour, she would do it right and it was fine. In bb, she’s not intending to arch her back for the slight bend over. Based on grown and bb, she doesn’t seem to like to bend over like that, even before her dancing changed. She does have the disc injury that flares up but I don’t think it’s related. I think that Jesy is closer to how she looked before X factor since she stopped starving herself so it would surprise me if she was having trouble with her body shape. I would expect her dancing to be worse in salute because of the starving herself and sudden change in weight but if the weight gain was the problem, she’s been seemingly consistent since 2016/2017 so she should know how to dance with her body by now. She shouldn’t be getting worse cause of it.
Because they all have such different styles on dancing (Jesy goes really hard and jade is softer) it kinda makes them look not cohesive?? Like there still together but it looks like they are doing different dances? I hope their choreographer gives them good choreography for the lm6 era because lm5 was off for me
They are such amazing dancers....if you're looking for a good performance in the LM5 era, watch the brits awards Woman Like Me performance! They were HARD in sync!!❤❤❤❤
for the salute era- do you think jade would’ve benefitted from some ballroom dance lessons? you mentioned the fluidity of her movements and how her arms were too loose. i don’t have a lot of training like you do, i do think the ladies would do well with some barre/ballet classes. maybe just to spruce up on technique and all those little details you mentioned.
I don't have any training with ballroom dancing so I don't know if it would have helped her as I haven't experienced what the foundations of ballroom dancing are. I don't think barre would help them as it mostly only builds and tones muscle and they do that in other ways (although core strength can never hurt). Ballet as a form of dance is something that all of them would probably be unprepared for but as far as what they could learn from taking basic ballet classes, it would probably help Jade and Jesy the most. Ballet is very precise and controlled and is all about lines and the aesthetic of the body and they could use some help there. While Leigh could use some help in fluidity, she also has the cleanest lines and is the most precise typically so I don't know that it would benefit her in the same way. Although I am of the opinion that ballet can only help you in other types of dancing. I think maybe lyrical could be good for her to help with fluidity and expression. Perrie would benefit from a ballet teacher because they're notorious for not letting you be lazy in movements, posture, etc. At least every ballet teacher I've ever come across is like that.
Sorry one more thing. You mentioned that Perrie seemed to be napping occasionally on stage during the LM5 tour. Recently she disclosed that she has two herniated disks in her lower back, so she was in agony every time she was twerking or doing floor routines. For someone who really seemed to like twerking (and was pretty good at it) and doing lots of hip rolls and lower body isolation movements having a lower back injury could conceivably slow her down, or she would be in pain and avoid going through some moves and this inaction would look like napping. Not trying to make any excuse, just suggesting a possible reason, since you were also at a loss at explain this. Since you dance you know being a dancer is to live in pain, always pushing your body to the limits. So far 7 years into ballroom I had injuries to both knees, lower back and right shoulder (frozen) and I am not doing anything close to what LM are doing. On the other hand I would never give up dancing either pain or injury be darned, hope you feel the same.
Perrie wasn't injured at the time of the LM5 tour. It's a recent injury but yes that is something I'm taking into consideration for recent performances and likely for tour as well.
@@doesitmatter_YT i like that you pay attention to detail and try to be fair, hard to do when art is inherently subjective and personal. Thanks for your reply.
You Tuber Sure, now I’ve only seen two videos of her dancing pre-lm so I do have limited material to go by compared to the dozens of videos of her in lm, but from what I saw, it was more disciplined. She blended into the group well and she was completely in-sync even with more complex hip hop routines. Her movements were more controlled than I’ve ever seen them and her lines were great. The fluidity through each movement even through the hard and fast ones was very good. I didn’t mention this in the video cause it was just too long but sometimes when she’s working especially hard to control her movements, there will be visible tension. Not through her whole body but somewhere specific. Think of it like when you’re trying not to do something so much that you clench your fist or grind your teeth. In the videos I saw, I didn’t see that type of tension. She was also in the front row for both routines which tells me that she was one of the best dancers in her troupe. I say that because when I danced, my teachers decided who was in front based on how well we did each routine. I got pulled to front row in a group of 20 because I did that particular routine really well. My guess is that because she was able to focus on just dancing and didn’t have to learn 15+ choreographies at one time, she was able to really “perfect” (quotes because nothing is actually perfect) the routines.
I personally think they need a better choreographer, I compare this to Beyonce live, her shows are Fantastic bcuz she has a great choreographer and LM's shows could benefit with better choreography, that's just my opinion 😊
It’s so hard to keep up with your comments typed on the screen & then the size is so large we can’t actually see the dancers! Just a critique for future vid’s 🥰 from a fellow UA-cam trainee. Also I have over 12 years of professional dance experience, please shrink the size of the writing so we can see the dancers..... you write so much & the size is so large no one can possibly keep you. Keep up the good content otherwise!! 🤩
The writing stops being over the dancers by the GW era so I'm unclear on this critique. If there was text covering the full screen then you didn't need to see them yet. The video in the back was simply to not make the video feel static while you read.
I think they did have less time for rehearsals for the LM5 Tour Also I hated how Jesy during the Glory Days era would halfass do some her moves especially when the girls would drop it low she would just bend over. Idk if her knees were bad or what but it looked horrible Also I love Perrie but she really can’t go as hard as the other girls. During the “Salute” “Power” “Woman Like Me” dance breaks to me she doesn’t look the best. Idk if she halfassing it or being lazy or simply can’t go as hard but it’s definitely not her best dance moments.
Honestly i hate perrie's JOA lazinness i know she can do better and a lot of songs were pre-recorded i think they just trying new things like focus on the costumes new dancers
I dont understand why you justify yourself in the intro. If you critique something with arguments and objectivity its not a big deal. Artist need that in order to pursue their legacy, if we dont explain the impact with their discography, influence, style etc with objectivity and relevant arguments they disappear
jade's precision and control and lines deterioriated and became sloppy and kinda lazy over the years and she uses her personality and stage presence to cover it up but her technoque wasnt great. i would say leigh is the best dancer because her precision, control and lines improved so much over the years and she developed a style and personality as well and she is dead consistent. i would say leigh is the best.
perrie did fantastic in EVERY tour. she is the best dancer out of eveyrone. jesy not so much. she can not dance. at all. jade in lm5 era was not good. she was way too lose and it did not look good. leigh-anne is good but she's eh
Lol you say Jesy can't dance when she's been trained to dance and has been dancing for a long time now. I mean Perrie has improved over the years I would put her in the same rank with Leigh just because I can't choose. In my opinion Jesy is first (She has the facial expressions and the moves) Jade is second (She has alot of energy and I do believe that's what you need to dance, she sometimes gets lazy but otherwise then that she aswell has the moves) then Leigh and Pez (I don't mean any hate I love them all,but they both improved so much it would be kinda rude to put either one of these two in front of the other.)

And I noticed that jesy and jade are kinda like opposites when dancing lol like jade is more loose with her dancing meanwhile jesy is more sharp and I'm glad I'm not the only one how different jesy dances now compared to the salute tour either way as long as she's enjoying herself and having fun idc
It's interesting because their style is very different and yet they struggle with similar things.
am I the only one who's in love with the way leigh dances in the Bridge of Joan of Arc when they turn around? I think it looks so good when she does it haha
I think it’s because Perrie got more vocals and high notes that make her a little lazy on dancing. Also the “laziness” didn’t ruin the performance at all, overall it’s still great, you won’t notice the small issues if you don’t observe their dance moves very carefully.
Honestly Jade’s style of dancing is my fave. I just like how effortless it looks.
For me it's Jesy that's the best dancer and by far the best stage presence.
There's just one mistake jesy gives 109% in everything 🤣
Good one😂😂
you should definitely do one of these for perrie since people still think of her as the weakest dancer even tho she’s improved immensely
fzl z I actually find her to be one of the best dancer of the girls personally.
I personally enjoy watching her the most tbh, her moves are so controlled and elegant
@@feyernightblade2050 exactly. She hits every beat perfectly and doesn't over do it. Shes very versatile when it comes to dancing.
13:01 I literally can‘t get over her facial expressions here. That‘s just amazing and she really tells a story just with her face.
I appreciate that you went back and watched the full video 🖤
@@doesitmatter_YT Yeah, my first comment I made was at the beginning of the video.
Deyoncé W I figured
Lol same I thought they were doing the chicken dance during the “Woman Like Me” dance break
I never expected that I would watch a 30 minute video on their dancing but I thoroughly enjoyed it. You’re commentary is what I’ve also noticed but couldn’t really speak on because I don’t have a dance background. Fantastic video!!
Meghan thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
As a group and having to sing the whole time, it's almost impossible for them to do such choreo
JOA during leighs part is by far my favorite they all look like they're having so much fun
I said it somewhere else but it's okay that they had an off tour. An excuse isn't needed. It happens sometimes.
i love how much effort you put into your videos... 💜💜
🖤 🖤
Tbh perrie is very good with her core and hips now, she is also hitting alot more moves hard then she used to, im proud of her, i just think they are more comfortable so they dont feel the need to hit it as hard, THEY ARE AMAZING GODDESSES STILL< PERIODT.
I love the evolution and the growth 😍😍😍 we have to stan
this kind of video where someone really knows their stuff is so interesting - thank you!!
She takes 1st place in consistency and clean lines
Agree
I really love Jade's way of dancing and her facial expressions lol
Just a quick Perrie appreciation comment here. She’s such an incredible dancer now and I’m so proud of her for sticking with it and working hard.
Overall they are all great dancers they all have their strengths and their weaknesses.
to me, I'd say
Me personally I would say Jesy has the best musicality out of all of them. But they are all so talented AF.
Jesy is so energetic and strong👸🏻👌💪🏽 . Leigh so hot and soft👸🏾💣. Perrie is so girly and beautiful 👸🏼🧚♀️ jade is cute and fierce👸💥😉.
These girls can dance and I love them so much 😏🙃😹😘❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖
I do feel like from what little I've seen of their live performances from the lm5 era they're overall performing a bit weaker than we expect, but I wonder if it's so jarring in part because it follows GD, where, at least personally, I feel like they were collectively at their best.
Absolutely loved this video, I could've watched 3 hours of this, please keep the Dance Analysis videos coming.
1:27 I don’t fight that in that clip wow Jesy got them moves
@@doesitmatter_YT same here and I also hope they do some mash ups like salute/down & dirty
It's okay that they had a rough tour. There doesn't have to be an excuse. Life happens. (Sidenote: they do new choreo every tour.)
doesitmatter I know they do new choreo every tour, but before they changed labels, they kept some of it consistent to what they had done before. They weren’t allowed to this time around.
@Amanda Ash I think it was only consistent before because it was the same era. It was all still glory days. I don't think syco owned the choreography.
I also never said anything about her in joa and I complimented the control she has over her hips.
lets be honest perrie is good at everything. and she’s dance is most beautiful.
Omg love this video!! Thank you so much, really enjoyed and made me notice and learn more about dancing 😄
Leigh struggles to maintain a stage persona and I think you pick up on that more than some of the other people in the comments. Nothing wrong with it
I think she thinks about the moves a lot bc as soon as she messed up people used to say she’s not good enough to be in the group and that she should be kicked out so it’s probably a in her head thing but she’s definitely has more of stage presence now
Yeah, she’s an incredible dancer but it looks like she’s counting the steps and focusing too much on that sometimes
Tysm for this. Can you make an analysis for their vocals from the dna to lm5 era
I don't have the technical knowledge to do an analysis, sorry!
I don't know if you liked fifth harmony but boy I hope you do one of these videos about them bc they could be messy with coreo lmao
I think I preferred GD era choreography as a whole compared to LM5. There were strong moments of choreo in LM5 (like woman like me, wasabi and joan of arc), but I did like GD choreo for salute, power and touch. That is just my opinion though
Thanks for a great video though! Must have taken you ages 😂
This would literally pass as a netflix episode of LM series, and I love it! ❤️
17:25 is my favorite part. Hehehe
I don't wanna compare. I'm a Jade stan but I love all of them equally and I love their style in dancing. So... For me Jade and Jesy.
And Perrie and Leigh-Anne.
13:23 is it just me or the dancer’s fingers looks huge
Awesome video!
Thank you! 😊
I've got my fingers crossed for Jesy.
Can you please do a dance ranking?
I feel like if u are the type to who like to mark moves to memorize it, u have to be extra aware of your movements because u might not separate practice from actual performance that's why our coach always tell us to do a run where we go full out.
Such a good video!!
I love the way how Jade dances. So fluid and each dance move flowing smoothly into the next. She’s my favorite dancer in the group.
And yet I found someone commenting Jesy as a bad dancer...It’s totally just a hate comment cause Jesy slays..
I don't really have anything to comment other than the new dance break for Touch is 1 of my favourites
Well it's true, especially Jesy. When I see her moves in the Salute tour and compare them with her moves in the Lm5 tour it's so different. I wanna also state an opinion but I'm afraid that you might think it's body shaming.
You can state whatever you want but I might ask you to edit it out of your comment if it is body shaming them.
@@doesitmatter_YT I honestly don't know what to call it, it's actually a fact but I'm afraid people might take it in the wrong way and think it's body shaming.
@@NQueen-el5ul I mean you can try it or not. If you really want, you can message me it on social and I'll give you my 2 cents but it's up to you.
I hope they don’t die out cause of kpop
2020 summer tour hahahahahah yeah
Because they all have such different styles on dancing (Jesy goes really hard and jade is softer) it kinda makes them look not cohesive?? Like there still together but it looks like they are doing different dances? I hope their choreographer gives them good choreography for the lm6 era because lm5 was off for me
Why are you so smart????? It's so unfair😫😂😂
They are such amazing dancers....if you're looking for a good performance in the LM5 era, watch the brits awards Woman Like Me performance! They were HARD in sync!!❤❤❤❤
0:35 Jesy's on fire
for the salute era- do you think jade would’ve benefitted from some ballroom dance lessons? you mentioned the fluidity of her movements and how her arms were too loose. i don’t have a lot of training like you do, i do think the ladies would do well with some barre/ballet classes. maybe just to spruce up on technique and all those little details you mentioned.
30 min!!!!! i enjoyed it!!!!!
Can you explain why in the comments Jesy was a better dancer before LM
My guess is that because she was able to focus on just dancing and didn’t have to learn 15+ choreographies at one time, she was able to really “perfect” (quotes because nothing is actually perfect) the routines.
ok but can you be my dance teacher ??
I wonder if you can do this with 'Mamamoo' too?
no more summer tour 2020😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
My opinion:
1. Jesy
2. LeighAnne
3. Jade
4. Perrie
I personally think they need a better choreographer, I compare this to Beyonce live, her shows are Fantastic bcuz she has a great choreographer and LM's shows could benefit with better choreography, that's just my opinion 😊
Their choreo is usually hit or miss for me. I do like some of it a lot but LM5 was definitely my least favorite choreo by far.
@@doesitmatter_YT yes LM5 was definitely a Favorite of mine as well!!
I think Jesy overdances a lot these days
❤️❤️❤️❤️
It’s so hard to keep up with your comments typed on the screen & then the size is so large we can’t actually see the dancers! Just a critique for future vid’s 🥰 from a fellow UA-cam trainee. Also I have over 12 years of professional dance experience, please shrink the size of the writing so we can see the dancers..... you write so much & the size is so large no one can possibly keep you. Keep up the good content otherwise!! 🤩
The writing stops being over the dancers by the GW era so
I'm unclear on this critique. If there was text covering the full screen then you didn't need to see them yet. The video in the back was simply to not make the video feel static while you read.
They’re singers not dancers
I think you hate Jade(
Diana Abzhanova jade is one of my favorites but you do you
I think they did have less time for rehearsals for the LM5 Tour
Also I hated how Jesy during the Glory Days era would halfass do some her moves especially when the girls would drop it low she would just bend over. Idk if her knees were bad or what but it looked horrible
Also I love Perrie but she really can’t go as hard as the other girls. During the “Salute” “Power” “Woman Like Me” dance breaks to me she doesn’t look the best. Idk if she halfassing it or being lazy or simply can’t go as hard but it’s definitely not her best dance moments.
This video made me aggravated
Honestly i hate perrie's JOA lazinness i know she can do better and a lot of songs were pre-recorded i think they just trying new things like focus on the costumes new dancers
I dont understand why you justify yourself in the intro. If you critique something with arguments and objectivity its not a big deal. Artist need that in order to pursue their legacy, if we dont explain the impact with their discography, influence, style etc with objectivity and relevant arguments they disappear
Because this is a fandom that mistakes critique for hate often and doesn't respond kindly when they do.
@@doesitmatter_YT yeah I know a lot of big fanbases are like that, but your analysis was interesting
@@thesassynerd Thank you!
Its hard to have opinions in this fandom 😂
Good video, but for me jade always gonna be the best dancer, fight me😂
you're allowed to have a preference. "fight me" isn't necessary just cause someone likes one girl's dancing and someone else likes another
well, I met with hate in my direction for such a sentence so:))
jade's precision and control and lines deterioriated and became sloppy and kinda lazy over the years and she uses her personality and stage presence to cover it up but her technoque wasnt great. i would say leigh is the best dancer because her precision, control and lines improved so much over the years and she developed a style and personality as well and she is dead consistent. i would say leigh is the best.
perrie did fantastic in EVERY tour. she is the best dancer out of eveyrone. jesy not so much. she can not dance. at all. jade in lm5 era was not good. she was way too lose and it did not look good. leigh-anne is good but she's eh
@@AlwaysLM2011 I mean your opinion, I always considered Jesy as first though,no matter what. (I'm a Leigh stan so don't say I'm being biased.)
