I saw that very boat at bass pro today and youre doing what i was thinking… im in south texas so i was thinking fishing falcon lake, corpus christi lake, arroyo city fishing, and south bay at south padre… when i fish salt water, just clean it up good after and flush that engine real good or youll get a motor like my brothers
How does that boat plane with more than 1 adult on it? Eyeballing it - no carpet...etc is nice for just getting after it. Last time had a 60 horse motor (on a deep-V) it would not plane with 2 adults so cautious. 90 is a bit out of budget after trolling motor and electronics.
I’ve spent all my life fishing santee, I fished saltwater off the cherry grove pier and garden city pier some. But I want to try it by boat, where is the ramp for that area? Edit: how does your boat handle the saltwater? I have the 2072 tracker and just curious
It is on 53rd Ave N in CherryGrove. My boats does great in the saltwater. Handles choppy water fine with no complaints. Every year I have in the pamlico sound with no issues. I just make sure every time I’m done to wash it real good.
It’s not a saltwater trolling motor. Every time we would take out, I took it straight to a car wash and sprayed and cleaned everything with freshwater. And from doing that there’s not one spot of corrosion on the boat.
Oops, using a fresh water trolling motor in saltwater! Good way to seize up your motor and void your warranty from Minn Kota. Should have gotten the Riptide series for saltwater that works in fresh or saltwater! Like your boat though.

I fished all in that area Memorial Day weekend and we caught one flounder. Guess I just wasn't there the right day lol
We caught several but nothing with much size. Biggest we ended up with was about 20 inches. It’s hit and miss lol
I went yesterday and caught a lot of flounder about 3 miles out

2-3 adults it plains out very quick. It has welded pods on the back of the boat which help out a lot.

There’s better fishing 10 minutes up the road in calabash in tubs inlet and ocean isle
