Had this defense, been paired with the 2018 offense, we’d have won every game by 30.. this d’s natty game just got gassed because our offense couldn’t score, our 2018 offense didn’t have a defense to slow the game down for them to get a rhythm. I truly believe those two sides of the ball could’ve been the greatest team ever assembled.
We were at this game- birthday present from my husband. Very weird how USC came out of the tunnel. Had such a great time. Viewing this video (thank you for a good video ) because I’m ready for football and there is nothing but garbage on TV.
People forget, this Bama secondary had 1st rnd Pro Bowler Minkah Fitzpatrick, 1st rnd Pro Bowler Marlon Humphrey, 3rd rnd Pro Bowler Eddie Jackson, & Browns starter & 2nd leading tackler Ronnie Harrison. Also Anthony Averette who was 2nd string at the time who is also on the Ravens.
@@jonathanwilliam980 how we know Sark any good with all that talent he work with? Don't get me wrong Tua was great but he locked on to his receivers. He was a one read quarterback and Clemson saw that. Tennessee had a pick 6 on him earlier off one of the same plays in the national championship. It wasn't just play calling. Clemson had his number. He also struggled against Georgia.
@@lanceruffin4298 Very True. If Tua hadn't got hurt. I really don't think we would have won that SEC Championship against Georgia. Hurts came in & saved that game.
It’s just amazing how the crazy career of Jalen Hurts started with a lost fumble. 😂 He took over in this game for a highly-touted 5* QB with a year in the system, lost his job to his backup in the National Championship game, then took over for the fallen star in the SEC championship game and played lights out, then transferred to Oklahoma and became a Sooner legend under Lincoln Riley, was doubted by almost every NFL analyst, and is now one of the top QBs in the NFL. And it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. He’s definitely the guy I point out to my son and say, “that’s your role model.”

Man also gone miss watching Coach Saban on the sidelines on Saturdays and the Great Job he did for the University and sport of collegecoach Deboer has to keep the standard at Bama im rooting for him
That 16 defense was absolutely incredible. I think every guy on that starting Defense signed an NFL contract, and there were several all pro's. It's absurd.

USC hasn’t been a powerhouse in several years. That’s 2004 USC team would have beaten any of the Bama teams that won the championship under Saban though
Yeah, Sam Darnold even played in this game. Didn't make much of a difference though did he? You know it tickled the shit out of Lane Kiffin to call the plays that beat the team that fired him. If it hadn't of been for Lane Bama probably doesn't tack on that last touchdown. Saban would have kicked the field goal but he let Lane go for the TD on 4th & goal. Lane wanted to win 50-0! He settled for 52-6. USC played a good first quarter. Then the Bama players started thinking about what practice would be like if they didn't win big. "Oh shit Coach is going to ridicule us & ride us even harder all week if we even come close to losing!" And that #40 for USC that stomped on that dudes nuts, I think he should have been kicked out of the first half of the following game too. That kinda crap is totally uncalled for. To call it "UNSPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT" is a major understatement!!!
Coach Nick Saban as a rule, didn’t run up the score on a team. However, for this game; I bet he allowed Lane Kiffen run up the score because of the way USC fired Kiffen on the airport tarmac after a road loss rather than wait until the end of the year.
Helton should have put Darnold in halfway through the second quarter. Browne wasn’t creating plays. Not saying SC would have won but it would have been a more interesting game. Darnold was able to create more plays with his feet while Browne was solely a pocket passer not able to escape pressure. Running game was failing also but a mobile quarterback would have added another weapon at least.
Depends on what you mean by interesting. 50-9 as opposed to 56-6? Hell, it could’ve been worse as Sam didn’t come in until the game was decided and Bama’s defense wouldn’t of been playing with anywhere near the same intensity.
Didn't get to see this game for some reason I do not remember but I kept up with it. If memory serves, this team had just about as good a D as any of Sabans teams which is saying something.
I like this because I could not have said it like you did, unless I was a bit high, which in our case needed to be so. Its amazing what a little Pot can make us truly understand, and better. 👍

Funny thing is we saw Jalen Hurts and Sam Darnold make their college debuts in this game as backups.
We also saw Sam D. wasn't that good and he got drafted higher than Jalen and was put on a pedestal.
