ok so legit no offence intended I don't know much about the speed run scene, but what's the point if your basically cheating ?

I used to not like speedrunning because I loved game cutscenes and stories. But speedruns are separated into categories. Glitch runs and standard runs. There are more, but there are actual parameters for these glitches being utilized. I've seen runs that disbar certain glitches entirely, even in glitch runs. Some games really lend themselves to enjoying glitches etc. Not all, and not all glitch runs will be yer thing. Doom eternal has some of my favorite standard and glitches speedruns.

well you have to cheat, I mean in a game that is over 24 years old, there's not much you can improve the "normal" route, so glitch route it is, in the end it became its own category of speedrunning to see how much you can twist a game to finish it.
