Listening to you while my youngest 20 yr old son- who will officially be a Dutch Marine in a few weeks- took his dad to Scotland camping😂 I am like my son; LOVE adventure (did a lot of solo traveling before I became a mom) and handle crisis pretty well. My ex... well... he has other qualities 😅 Anyway I would have loved to hike there but understand my son who said it is a bonding thing he wants to do with his dad... He texted me this morning from Bridge of Orchy... he had a very good sleep in the little tent... I don't know about his dad😂
There were other people posting that they didn't feel right either. Some blamed it on the incoming weather systems. Lot of arthritis and painful body issues. Hope you feel better. 🌺🌺
In our two-week forecast, there are ten days in a row where the temperature is not supposed to ever get up to freezing. I really understand the feeling of being glad not to have to leave the house! Hope you are feeling better soon.
There are a lot of illnesses around atm. I came down with flu last Sunday and still feel fairly yucky, Christmas dinner was postponed as we were meant to have 8 of us to ours for dinner. That could no way happen, as I felt dreadful and barely ate for days, so everything went in the freezer. Keeping our fingers crossed that we can have it next Sunday. Hope you all feel better soon. xx
It's this wind in Burntisland Karen, blowing a hoolie! Not cold though, yet! Lots of folks have said the same, not quite right this Christmas. Let's hope for a better 2025.
We have really wet, really warm weather, which is not terribly unusual. It's been a real up and down temp-wise last few years, but it will be cold after the first of the year. I wish y9ou well, and that you can feel good and enjoy your great amount of time off.
It could be that our unusually mild December will morph into a proper winter in the new year. I don't know how to feel about that. I like the snow, don't like having to travel on the bad roads when we get snow. We need the snowpack on the hills to keep our rivers flowing and the salmon swimming. So yes, keep a good supply of food and firewood and hunker down.
Hope you all feel better soon. Typical that illness visits when you are on annual leave. Since retiring, I have managed to avoid illness during important holiday dates!
Karen, that colour looks gorgeous on you! Hope you feel better very soon 😊💕

That queasy feeling is a symptom of the current bug doing the rounds. Maybe some soup and crackers would hit the spot? Xx
❤ hope you feel better soon xx
