So funny... I was just thinking that. I like maybe 4-5 songs by priest... way down in the favourite band list but this might be my favourite metal tune
Of course it's great it's JUDAS PRIEST. But personally for me it's SAXON "And the bands played on". As with most opinions it's conjecture. It's METAL !! If that's your choice then you ain't ever gonna be far wrong. Peace out ✌🏻🤟🏻👏🏻
Can you imagine being there? 1983. This wasn't a sausage fest, women loved Rock "n Roll and Metal back then. Today, its Country or be a Swifty. 40 years later, Priest is still at it.
This band is incredible they don't perform one song that the whole band doesn't put 1000 percent into .Rob is the best front man in history the man is a legend
@@varshapatel5543 I like those vocalists but they are not on Rob's level. Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio and Geoff Tate are the only singers that can come close to Rob.
И я тоже в восторге😁👍👍👍🔥Мне недавно приснился сон:встретился мне Роб Хэлфорд (во времена своей молодости)и был мне очень рад,рад нашей встрече.Говорил в основном он.😁👍
Scott, I was only a kid back then, but I wonder did anyone of your age ever suspect Halford to be gay? I mean watching this in 2017, he is flaming. He is straight out of a gay biker bar. Don't get me wrong, I think he is amazing as a singer.
The funny thing is, I climbed a wall on the left side of the stage and was able to see backstage. I saw Rob Halford sitting on his harley and there were two hot women with him. That said, I couldn't care less what his sexual preference was back then, or now, for that matter. They put on a fantastic set.
I saw Judas Priest on their Defenders of the Faith tour in 1984. My ears are still ringing 👂👂 😬 Kids these days have no idea how cool shows like this were. Watchin’ this on your phone or iPad is ok, but nothing compared to it live. Gaaawd, how I miss the 80s!
Halford's moves...I'm laughing my ass off but at the same time they're the greatest thing in the world and I can't hate it. I absolutely love it. I can't wait to see them live again.
Legendary...in 1984 and today . Just came back from their last show of their current tour in Germany in Bamberg tonight 38 years later but Rob is still the Metal God
You talk about rising to the occasion. They knew exactly how significant this show was. And they took full advantage of the opportunity. And in doing so, delivered one of the greatest live performances in heavy metal history.
Seeing these guys live was just an incredible experience. I really don't think I've seen another band with their stage presence, ability to excite a crowd, and simply deliver a performance that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Looks gay to you, ok, then dislike? are there any performers like this nowadays? Also, the fact that this guy was gay made him the great front man he is. Do you dislike queen videos too? Bohemian rapsody?
As a guitar player in drives me crazy when they don't keep the camera on the lead guitar player during the SOLO! It's 30 seconds out of a 5 minute song. Give Glenn the spot light for 30 seconds then go nuts for the rest on the tune.
Oh my GOD listen to the crowd loving it! They fucking killed it too but my god everything that went on during priests concert was the best they've ever done I think!
yep, yours truly, ME, I was there, what a day! so much human unity, priest is the beast...and this song is the hope of humanity to end the slavery of money..... the fortune is RBE...peace
Gosh, I haven't watched or listened to Priest in many years, I had the Defenders album when it was released, and now all these years later having been a part time musician it's interesting what stands out about this band... Halford, of course is an ace frontman - very commanding presence, and what a voice! Between the two guitarists, I remember it was always KK Downing who got all the attention because of his looks and moves, but the real star is Glen Tipton - his solos are very technical. I always used to think of the rhythm section as being rather lacklustre, but now when I see this, they're very solid, and on this tune in this performance, the drummer is actually quite dynamic. Funny the things that stand out after time has passed.
I used to do this song in a cover band inthe early 90s.. I was playing drums and singing . Trying to sing like Rob was very hard . I gave it my all,, but not even close.
Just listen to the non stop roar of the crowd. Back then was a great time to attend Hard Rock Metal shows. It was like you had a communion of individuals all totally being enveloped in the sound and experience of being part of something powerful and you could just unleash your pent up anger and emotions and literally go berserk in your actions refraining from anything too violent . You would always meet you match in the mosh pit. Believe me I miss those great shows and that time in my life.
So I come across this video and instantly tell myself I need to send this to my dad, I send the video to my dad and write “check out how massive the guitar tone is here “ He writes me back “I was there buddy, 1983 San Bernardino US festival” I instantly called him, and he told me all about the show in detail how unbelievably sick it was 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 just when I thought my pops couldn’t get any cooler , he completely blows my mind with this story. Stay metal my friends 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I was there and it was awesome- made eye contact with kk downing and rob Halford - was in left side of stage- I remember as soon as the hellion started ., everyone rushed to see , including me to see them play electric eye- amazing show- hen took a nap after priest while triumph came on lol 😂
women still love rock and roll if there is anything to love. it all sucks. the music in the 80s was the best. this is my walk-up song when I pitched to close out games. lol, they had another thing, comin
The boys should help out more with the vocals, it just sounds weird when you have backing vocals on the records but not live 😄. But yes! Rob is very good at his job even when he doesn’t have backing vocals 😁.
You've Got Another Thing Comin' has to be the BEST single of metal history: commercial, catchy yet classy and 100% metal
@ damn, they were on a roll, "ok we need a hit single and we're good to go-> oh here it is"
Arguably .. you have a strong case 💪
So funny... I was just thinking that. I like maybe 4-5 songs by priest... way down in the favourite band list but this might be my favourite metal tune
I don't know personally "HELL Bent FOR LEATHER the whole album kickass ass
Of course it's great it's JUDAS PRIEST. But personally for me it's SAXON "And the bands played on".

my dad was! he was 17
Motley Crue still draws a crowd with about the same number as adult women and men; the crowd in the last twenty years is just majority parents.
I was there!
i was there, still got my ticket
Dude I’m so jealous that I missed the generation of sexy metal babes in the 80s.
I was there with my cousin Terry 40 years ago today. Judas Priest WAS Heavy Metal Sunday! Happy Trails!✌
Rob, K.K and Glenn's stage present is amazing. You literally cannot take your eyes off them the whole set.
Hey Ian deserves some credit too.
Exactly
Especially KK at 4.21....whoa!!
40年聴いてても飽きない
This band is incredible they don't perform one song that the whole band doesn't put 1000 percent into .Rob is the best front man in history the man is a legend
Some might say freddie Alex Harvey was pretty fuckin good
so fuckin' bad-ass! my highest rating. It's no wonder metal dominated the 80s.
@@varshapatel5543 I like those vocalists but they are not on Rob's level. Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio and Geoff Tate are the only singers that can come close to Rob.

me too...........never too old to rock and roll..........im 76....
There is no situation in life imaginable that can't be made better by adding Judas Priest .
halford hits those notes effortlessly
"Come On.....!"
Glenn and K.K’s syncronised dancing in the best thing in metal history.
Love the tones of those guitars 🤤
Judas Priest - a study in consummate professionalism and musical skill.
Anthony Hopkins + Bruce Willis = Rob Halford
I was front row left side of stage at that show. Freakin' awesome set! Such a long great, horrible and amazing day that I will never forget.
where was this?

I was there as well. Insane show
Scott MacDaddy what was horrible about it? no pissers?
On this day nearly 40 years ago, and with this song, Rob Halford gives the greatest performance ever by heavy metal front man.

Prieeeeest !! How good is that. Rob flanked by world class axe men KK and Glen, kind of like Dave and Adrian with Bruce. You can never go wrong.
One word to describe this point in time: Legendary!!!!
Legendary...in 1984 and today .
Just came back from their last show of their current tour in Germany in Bamberg tonight
38 years later but Rob is still the Metal God
With this performance, Rob Halford set the standard that all other HM singers had to beat. A flawless, perfect 10.
This performance is just dynamite! I’m watching this video so much that I’m starting to question if I’ll ever get tired of the song 😆.
Judas is the law.
No... They're breaking the law.
Bro-mar Squiggles the painkiller is the law!
or exciter or the electric eye!
Wait, breaking the what?
The crowd seemed disappointed.
(that's a joke people)
The precision is amazing. I like halfords moves here. Quintessential 80’s. They were the metal GODS.
the flawlessness in this is so overwhelming it makes me want to cry.
Their hottest hit of the moment in front of their biggest crowd. An epic occasion...
83 was ROCKING.
They had the right song for the right time.
You talk about rising to the occasion. They knew exactly how significant this show was. And they took full advantage of the opportunity. And in doing so, delivered one of the greatest live performances in heavy metal history.
'83 US festival !? I remember I saw this on TV ! I was 16 y'old and so fascinated !!! Thanx a lot !!
Seeing these guys live was just an incredible experience. I really don't think I've seen another band with their stage presence, ability to excite a crowd, and simply deliver a performance that you will remember for the rest of your life.
曲が終わった後の追加のアレンジが素晴らしい。これだけの人数の群衆を徐々に興奮の頂点に満ちていく。こんな完璧なコール&レスポンスをライブで体験したい。
One of the fucking hottest days of my life. 13 years old!! One hell of a day in metal history!!
Grateful to have been there!!!
Rob's voice was still on point here. Damn, hitting those high notes no problem. What a great song.
Absolutely awesome! The crowd singing and screaming all the way through and Dave Holland on top of the amps!
He just gives it all he has,it's magnificent .Truly one of the Gods of Heavy Metal \m/
damn i love this kicker of a song
Every time i hear or watch this song, I get goosebumps from how awesome it truly is.💎💓💓💓
Wish I was there, much less born 20 years earlier to witness the Priest in their prime. Excellent video.
I was 4 when they performed this. Wish I could have seen them…
People disliking this is beyond human comprehension
cant fix stupid
Eloy Librada Llobregat yea Miami is rocking JP right now..and vodka
Eloy Librada Llobregat fuck them
Looks gay to you, ok, then dislike? are there any performers like this nowadays?
Also, the fact that this guy was gay made him the great front man he is.
Do you dislike queen videos too? Bohemian rapsody?
Eloy Librada Llobregat...no, they just love rap lol
Most of the people in this crowd are senior citizens today. Rock on grandma and grandpa
I would say, “mature” kind of like fine wine. This is GREAT! They still got it and so do many of us who are STILL rocking 😉🙏🏻💜
the ever so stoic guitarists dancing in tandem and synchronicity, gotta love it!!
How cool is this guy 👍🏼
Yep, still wearing the leather on a day when it's like 800 degrees out!
Freakin love Priest

A True Priest " Metal Anthem " FROM THE METAL GODS ‼️🤘

Just read Halford is working on a blues album. Performances like this have me stoked to see what his vocals can do in that genre
This version , I mean this song at this very concert is the Best EVER of "you got another thing coming" the ending!🔥
It's epic, but the JP Live from Fuel for Life is still way better.
