Yeah I have 2 tele’s, one with some vintage 60’s stock pickups and the other with Texas specials. Both have a nice low end to them compared to my Strat’s stock pickups. I always thought Teles would be limited to just “twang” but mine are way more versatile than my Strat. I guess I’m a Tele guy.
@@PittsburghTimeMachineI wrote off Teles as only for chicken pickers. Wasn’t till I decided to play one for funzies through a Marshall that I realized how hilariously wrong I was. My question is, doesn’t the constant change of tuning ruin the intonation? Like an Ibanez would be ideal for metal while a tele could be for something else?
more like "x guitar is not best suited for x genre" and there's no doubt about that but some people have taken it to a point where they make it seem like its sacreligious to play a genre on a guitar it wasnt made for
@@diego9681 If you change the tuning, then you need to adjust intonation. The guitar itself doesn’t matter. This is why it’s good to get a guitar for a specific tuning. Yeah true, especially since not everyone has the money to be collecting different guitars. And its not like I won't play a song I like just because its traditionally goes best with a strat or an ibanez or something.

I don't know why anyone still have that question. Any electric guitar is capable. Although your pickup output will determine how much gain from your amp and how much boost you will have to dial in.
Who on the internet says that about Teles? Telecaster is literally the most versatile guitar on the planet.
