BOTW: I'm Gonna Love You - The chemistry here is fantastic, I love this song. Really hope it sticks around. HM (tie): 41/Blow for Blow - For "41", what really sold me on this was the production. Yeah, the content isn't anything special, but I LOVE those horns, and I think all the performers do their best with it. For "Blow for Blow", I think J. Cole and Tee Grizzley both have pretty decent flows, and I think that hook is honestly kinda catchy if you listen to it long enough. DM (Tie): Fall Fast in Love/El Lokeron - For the former, again, Rod Wave's performance ruins the song. Can't he just use a little more autotune? I think that this is a step down from It Boy, but considering that's EASILY my favorite song from him, I feel that this is mostly a case of this song not reaching the high bar its predecessor set but being solid nonetheless.

@@GraysonHVA That is half the reason both picked up big gains, but the other half seems to be that they picked up enough streaming to propel them, which for Luke Bryan at least makes sense given his new album that dropped.
Album Thoughts: Moon Music-Coldplay Before I get to the album itself, I want to bring up how "for me" releases from last week was for me. Because not only was there a new album from my second favorite band, but also a Bad Guys special, a new season to that Gremlins show, and the Kiff second season premiere. The week of my special interests. The Thursday ones in particular involve two of my comfort movies. Gizmo in particular is my comfort character. Super Gremlin is my discomfort song. I didn't actually end up being a fan of the Bad Guys one, but at least it wasn't the worst thing from this year from a DreamWorks franchise about bad guys who turn good. Remember last month when I talked about how I Saw the TV Glow was a really good movie? Onto this album specifically, after I really liked feelslikeimfallinginlove and didn't like We Pray, I didn't know what to expect going into the whole album. And finding out there's a song in it that's title is just an emoji didn't give me high hopes. The actual album turned out be to decent. When it comes to the highlights besides the lead single, the title track starts with a beautiful instrumental that feels like it came from the Interstellar score. And luckily things stay great when the singing starts. Wasn't a fan of the ending at first, but it grew on me during the second listen. ALL MY LOVE deserves a shoutout for being an extremely charming ballad. Everything else here is fine. All of the non-remix/live songs on the deluxe album are better than most of the ones from the regular album. Especially The Karate Kid, Man in The Moon, and i Am A Mountain. As their last album, it could've been better, but it's 7/10.
Love You, Miss You, Mean It had an album boost due to his new album as well; it might fall out of the top 50 next week. I'm suprised Burning Down lost spots despite the new album.
Unrelated, but is it just me or did Eenie Meenie by Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber age so incredibly well? One of the best songs of 2010 and surprisingly became a streaming darling for me these past few weeks alongside Filipino song Toyo by KZ Tandingan.
@@thelESC18 yeah that's half the reason I decided to recommend it. The other is me coming across it while watching Mark's worst list for 2010 and realizing, hey this is a song from my childhood, I loved it back then but it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than I remember it to be
@thel8624 To be honest, while Justin Bieber has made some bad choices in his life, I always thought he got too much hate when he started off. His music wasn't stellar as a whole, but he got picked on more than he deserved. Did "Baby" really deserve to be the most disliked video on UA-cam for so long? I know it's also one of the most liked, but still. It wasn't that bad
@@jchmusic7587 true. Also, this makes me appreciate lonely more as a song. I found Sean's criticism of him complaining despite being a great selling pop star in his 2021 worst list to be a bit disingenuous because I have always thought for years now that this fame and popularity is EXACTLY why he wrote that beautiful masterpiece. Diddy's revelation just makes this point stronger.

As someone that does like the idea of 41 crossing over, I'm a bit bummed they're on a song like this. I like Slut Me Out 1 and 2 but this is not funny enough and it also doesn't go hard enough so it just sits in an uncomfortable place. Quick correction by the way: Jenn Carter is a girl and the other rapper's name is Kyle Ricch
For Or What, it's honestly not my favorite song off of SLUT SZN. It's pretty middle of the road, but I like the production. I'm just thankful that Catalina and Stickin and Movin weren't the songs off the album to crossover onto the Hot 100 because both of them are really bad. The latter of two has the lines "treat them like a toilet, we'll get a fella flushed down" and "stabbin her uterus" btw. 😣
1) It's the second-to-last tracking week of the Billboard charting year! I want either "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" to finish off the charting year at #1 or a newer song to become the last #1 hit of the charting year. The latter is highly unlikely but not completely implausible. 2) "Stick Season" will *definitely* make the Year-End Hot 100! It lasted 52 weeks. "One of Wun" *might* have a chance at making the Year-End Hot 100! It lasted 20 weeks. Many of the songs that will make the Year-End Hot 100 lasted 20 weeks as well. 🤓
@@Oble_Noceda They will. You know why? It's because of their award show... that *no one* cares about anymore! When was the last time that it was relevant? 🤔
Ugh, I have to hear that Justin Moore song almost every day at my job. I thought it was an older song; I was surprised to see it's so new. I would rather listen to "Dirt" by FGL or "Buy Dirt" by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan every day.
@@Oble_Noceda I actually really like Jordan Davis. He played at my university several years ago, so that's a special memory to me. I might check out his albums sometime. Btw, love your profile picture and handle. I finished the Owl House recently and absolutely loved it!

Song Recommendation: Garden Party by Madds Buckley So, here's a story... Jeremy U's ReevU recommends songs on a weekly basis. Some of my favorite songs he's ever recommended are Who Are You by Cal Scruby, Earth by easy life, and Touch Grass by BBNO$ and Yung Gravy. He usually brings to me a lot of fun or chill music (or often, both at once), so when he asked me to check out I Wanna Be In Love Again by Madds Buckley, I was utterly stunned how much I related to it and how much it hit me deep on a personal level. I never expected it to shake me so much on a personal level, and it was made even more special by the fact that its arrival in my life was heralded by a magnitude 4 (iirc) earthquake back when I first listened to it. It's so special to me, that not only is it EASILY the best thing he ever asked me to check out, it's currently my 9th favorite song of all time and the best song, hit or otherwise, of last year. Ever since, I checked out so many songs from her, and currently, My Love is Sick fights Sunset on Summerville for my favorite album for hers. This one, though, seems to be a one-off much like Driver's Seat was a few months ago. Now, literally the only reason why I consider this the worst song she released in 2024 is because there were only two options available, and Driver's Seat wound up being one of the best songs of the decade. Even that is not enough to stop me from calling this one of the better songs, hit or otherwise, anyone released this year. This is a guitar-driven bard song, where the strums propel the entire thing into life as the folk / castle themed percussion dresses the beautiful mix amidst the lovely as always delivery from the woman of the hour, and one Mia Asano is given a feature credit for her frankle beautiful violin solos garnishing parts of the song. The outro in particular is utterly stunning. My gosh Mia KILLED IT! Both girls help Madds' writing shine, where the main character is utterly convinced that the ego and pride of this man means she'll be left in the dark as someone who has to clean up for his mess or become a victim of false promises. Thus, she proclaims that she will spare him the trouble and instead just "dig her own grave". I'd like to think that this is a sarcastic statement parroted out her mouth, but it doesn't matter too much whether or not you interpret it as sincere or otherwise; the tone feels appropriate either way. I do dislike some parts of the song starting earlier than expected or having some off timing, but man do I love this... ...folks, she just keeps on doing it, making masterpiece after masterpiece. Some songs I don't return to often, others I do more frequently, but almost all of them are awesome in their own way, and even those that didn't click for me are valiant efforts I'd give a pass any day of the week. This isn't the biggest piece of evidence to prove that Madds is my favorite indie artist of all time (I Wanna Be In Love, Driver's Seat and You Stabbed Me In My Sleep exist), but it certainly is a good choice. Fantastic song, please check it out. I'd like to see where bard music goes from here.

WOTW3: Blow For Blow- You are no goat J.Cole especially on this song of all things. Music-Related Movie Trailer Thoughts: Better Man So is the whole having Robbie Williams as a monkey thing supposed to be because they want to make this another parody of biopics, or so they can have the artist himself star as himself and don't have to worry about making the actual person look younger using makeup or deaged effects?
Given that next week is likely going to be an empty way to finish off the chart year of 2024 unless there are a few weeks tacked on let's not get our hopes up for that, I will focus on some new album releases for this Friday that could provide interesting disruption for the week of October 26. The 4 releases that I can see causing disruption from most damaging to minor impact are as follows: Rod Wave's 'Last Lap' (given his track record of previous album bombs), GloRilla's 'Glorious' (the mixtape from earlier this year did minor traction, so it could translate a bit bigger with a proper debut album), Jelly Roll's 'Beautifully Broken' (some of the singles have had minor traction on streaming and sales so it could translate a little bigger) and Charli XCX's remix album for 'Brat' (only a few notable remix tracks could make decent headway, notably that remix of "sympathy is a knife" with Ariana Grande).
Wow, we get Stick Season and Slut Season in the same year? Also, apparently Wildflower is blowing up on TikTok. Really happy about that, it might be my song of the year.

I think Odetari's impact on the dance charts has been pretty impressive. Regardless of what you think of his music, you have to respect the fact that he was able to make something that sounds experimental and unique into a trend on a chart that used to only get a small handful of the most mainstream subgenres of EDM. Death By Burrito by VeggieHamerr: An interesting little song, with catchy production, enjoyable vocals, and fun lyrics. Cool song!
Complete by Wacky Town: A great track, with chill production, nice vocals, and solid lyrics. Great song!
I think that this is a step down from It Boy, but considering that's EASILY my favorite song from him, I feel that this is mostly a case of this song not reaching the high bar its predecessor set but being solid nonetheless.
I have a song recommendation btw. Give it a shot 😊 I have a surprise for you there btw
For me it's a strange week. I don't really dislike any of the new arrivals, but I don't love any of them either, so no BOTW or WOTW from me this week
But I wanna say I do like Timeless
Same, honestly it was very close between this and Heavy for the best of the week
I literally just talked to someone i don't know well about their music taste and it was odetari lol
Let us have a 55-week long chart year, Billboard…
BOTW: Timeless
HM: Heavy Is The Crown
DM: Blow For Blow (I’m starting a petition that from here on out, we call him J. Cole Rowling whenever he spits a transphobic bar. Seriously Jermaine, you suck at shock rap)
WOTW: Or What?
Timeless and Heavy are great, I agree. Or what is good though
When I saw Odetari charted, I knew what the worst of the week will be.
Why did beautiful as you surge to 52?
Nashville radio, it's what gave "Love You, Miss You, Mean It" a big boost as well
@@GraysonHVA That is half the reason both picked up big gains, but the other half seems to be that they picked up enough streaming to propel them, which for Luke Bryan at least makes sense given his new album that dropped.
Album Thoughts: Moon Music-Coldplay
Before I get to the album itself, I want to bring up how "for me" releases from last week was for me.
Coldplay are one of my all-time favourite groups but the album didn't really click with me.
Haven't heard the album so I can't judge. Not interested, though. Again, I don't hate or love it, but I think I'll just like feelslike and move on.
@@piran1807Haven’t listened to the project but yes Coldplay are one of the best groups ever…..
In fact they’re my favourite group of all time
i am so excited for the charts to finally be interesting again. there's basically nothing here that i'm interested in.
Botw: Heavy is the crown
Hm: Timeless
Hm2: No one noticed
Dhm: Keep up
Wotw: El lokeron
Love You, Miss You, Mean It had an album boost due to his new album as well; it might fall out of the top 50 next week. I'm suprised Burning Down lost spots despite the new album.
Probably the momentum will be late for the latter song
Unrelated, but is it just me or did Eenie Meenie by Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber age so incredibly well? One of the best songs of 2010 and surprisingly became a streaming darling for me these past few weeks alongside Filipino song Toyo by KZ Tandingan.
That song is overhated. Sure, it's really dumb bubblegum, but that's all it's trying to be. I can't dislike it
While I don't share that opinion at all, I'm happy you like it
Justin Bieber does deserve some more love right now
#justiceforbieber

Next week is the final week of the 2024 chart year.
I refuse to believe they'll end the year THIS early again.
@@Oble_Noceda They will. You know why? It's because of their award show... that *no one* cares about anymore! When was the last time that it was relevant? 🤔
@@thema1998 I honestly don't have a problem with the awards show. It's fine. I don't like HOW they addressed it
Ugh, I have to hear that Justin Moore song almost every day at my job. I thought it was an older song; I was surprised to see it's so new. I would rather listen to "Dirt" by FGL or "Buy Dirt" by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan every day.
Buy Dirt is severely overhated. I've grown to love the song more with time
@@Oble_Noceda I actually really like Jordan Davis. He played at my university several years ago, so that's a special memory to me. I might check out his albums sometime.

One of Wun is actually predicted to be 100, so unless a song is able to make it on the last week, it will be the coveted number 100 in the year end 100.
Chihiro, 28, and Taste are all expected to overtop it, so it's gonna miss.
very nonzero chance that Wind Up Missing You overtakes and makes 100, honestly
@@manmanthirtysix5117 I think chihiro is gonna be higher than 100
I dig Heavy is the Crown more than the first single, reminds of Faint a bit too much and no it isn't as strong as Faint obvs, but it is pretty neat.
I don't, but I do recognize that some elements are better than some elements of the emptiness machine
Song Recommendation: Garden Party by Madds Buckley
So, here's a story...
Thank you so much! Glad you liked the song!

NLE Choppa made sequels to his best song? Meh.
Got pump-faked by the Rod Wave intro. Good to see Rod Wave is back..
My Opinion Of This Weeks New Arrivals:
WOTW1: Keep Up- Yeah, This sounds like a Will.I.Am song but 1000 times worse.
WOTW2: El Lokeron- His preformance sounds so whiny.
WOTW3: Blow For Blow- You are no goat J.Cole especially on this song of all things.
DM1: This Is My Dirt- I like the Neo-Traditional sound but yeah it's sounds like dirt cheap but very overly detailed.
DM2: Or What?- It's boring
DM3: Heavy Is The Crown- The Production is great but i can't vibe to this new lead singer, Emily comes across as doing a Chester Impressions and i don't like it, It's better than that Imagine Dragons song but i can't get into it.
BOTW1: No One Notices- Oooooo, I like this, I can vibe to this, I'll take it
BOTW2: Fall Fast in love- This is what i like from Rod Wave
BOTW3: I'm Gonna Love You- This is a collab i support
BOTW4: Timeless- I like this and this is from someone who isn't a big Playboi Cardi fan.
cant wait for thick of it
Really want to see carry you home debut soon, definitely BOTW for me ❤
Music-Related Movie Trailer Thoughts: Better Man
So is the whole having Robbie Williams as a monkey thing supposed to be because they want to make this another parody of biopics, or so they can have the artist himself star as himself and don't have to worry about making the actual person look younger using makeup or deaged effects?
Congrats to A Bar Song (Tipsy) on being the longest running hit of the year! Such a great song!
