🤣🤣🤣🤣 While I will never have that feeling again, I do recall those times. My favorite thing was chicken noodle soup or anything with grilled onions. I also learned to like love French Fries for the first time in my life at 27 yrs old. 😋
This is freaking amazing timing! I just bought some artichokes on sale yesterday and then started to panic because I have never made them before in my life. I have a fond memory of my own Entry School friends Mall making Italian stuffed artichokes with breading and sausage. I've been dreaming about this for years and decided to take it upon myself to try to make them. Thank you! I will report back with how it goes.
I really enjoy your videos, no fluff, just true passion for food. Also someone who knows the restaurant grind and the love/hate relationship that comes with it.
Steamed artichokes dipped in lemon mayo is one of my favorite foods since childhood. It's so simple and perfectly delicious every time that I've never cooked them any other way in 30 years. This looks so yummy, though. I just might have to try it.
Tried your other artichokes, where you steam first then cut in half, clean out the fuzz, and brown in a pan face down. It’s my new favorite way to prepare artichokes!!! I used to just steam and serve.
I always heard that artichokes were just soooo difficult to prep but this doesn't look hard at all. I will not be buying them jarred next time! This looks delicious 🥰
I'm from New Orleans and we do stuffed artichokes a lot there with seafood boils, and hours are typically stuffed with parmesan (the cheap sprinkles in a can) Italian bread crumbs, olive oil, spices and loads of lemon and they are absolutely yummy, we make a green bean artichoke casserole (we also add cream cheese for this casserole) or artichoke balls on holidays with the same basic ingredients, I don't make anything but the casserole much because of arthritis but it's all scrumptious
Globe artichoke is the big one and there are many much smaller varieties, some slightly smaller, varying from green to purple, and a Jerusalem artichoke is the root of a type of artichoke that looks a bit like a cross between a potato and ginger
I loved this tutorial on the artichoke. I did not grow up in CA, and as a transplant, I was mystified by artichokes. It took me years to learn these deets. Greatful
I love watching her. All that she does is professional like Martha Stewart. Her chopping skills are excellent. She is a relief to come across after all the silly & stupid comedy slapstick food videos that are laden with sugar as a diabetes artery clogging recipe. She is quiet and gets to the point of the recipe. I hope she puts out a cookbook.
She also doesn't make those bored keep housewife videos where you just dump random not at all tasty looking ingredients in a casserole dish and the jump cuts when they taste their monstrosities is proof it's horrendous and just made to waste food and get clicks
OMG... my childhood... my dad prepared them almost like you... he only made a bigger hole in the middle so the stuffing became like a little very yummy compound... that was heaven... and at the end the best... the artichoke bottom... mmmmhhh... Did you ever tried artichokes coked in tomato sauce... I die for it...
Artichokes are so good for us and the tender heart is absolutely delicious. I add chopped deboned olives, loads of fresh chopped parsley, fresh long garlic and anchovies to the stuffing. If you can use bread that's a couple of days old before turning it into breadcrumbs, it's even better. We also sprinkle some wine vinegar over the stuffed artichokes together with a generous amount of olive oil over them, before continuing to cook them in the same manner. So good and theyre in season here in the Med. Enjoy👏🌻
We make a lot of stuffed artichokes in the Aegean region of Turkey. 😊 I was wondering about the thing. Artichokes have hairs on the underside. Shouldn't you be spooning them?
You have no idea how much I hated this dish growing up. Now, after maybe 10 years without eat it, I watch your videos and you make me starving this 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ you do wonders girl 😂😂
I wouldn’t think so bc you wouldn’t enjoy the outer skin of each petal. You only want to eat the inner part and use your teeth to scrape above and below the petal, to coax the inner portion forward into your mouth. At the end she eats the artichoke heart. But you have to remove all those “choke furry hairs at the bottom, to get to the heart underneath. The “choke” (those furry hairs) isn’t very edible. So you need to scrape those off as she does w a spoon. Hence you wouldn’t be able to do that either if you battered and fried it:)
Lmfao wtf Peter! They are fantasy dwarves not humans with dwarfism there is a difference has he never read any fantasy novels?! Such a shame that such a fantastic actor can be so dense
Hard to describe, but it's a slightly sweet, earthy, but the artichoke itself is typically prepared with loads of flavorful stuffings or dips so it depends on that, but it's quite delicious, you can also get canned brined or marinated artichokes, I prefer the brined and marinating them myself because I don't enjoy the typical canned versions marinade
It doesn't occur to you to talk and tell us what ingredients you're using to stuff them? If you're disabled in some way that doesn't permit that, I apologize.

Thank-U‼️💖😃
I can’t click the link? You don’t say what herbs or cheese or anything you are using or how much? 🤦♂️🤷♂️
i can’t get the link to work either looks yummy and i’d like to make it right now but idk what all that is
Waste of time why put a link on when it can’t be used.
Being pregnant while watching these is probably the worst idea ever. I want everything. Immediately.
You are funny... good luck with the pregnancy dear, regards from Melbourne

I never knew artichokes were this big

I've always baked mine, but I'll definitely try this way. Thank you for all the work you put in into making these videos 🤙
Same, stuffed and baked so the stuffing gets golden and slightly crisp in some areas
Looks yummy 😋
I love artichokes even raw they are delicious and full of iron 🥰
I love how you stuff them but you still leave their natural flavour as the main one 😋
Do you have a cookbook out? Forgive me for not knowing. Ur amazing ❤
I have a grater I use for garlic too. Game changer.
Wow. I eat artichoke dip all the time but this was everything 👏🏾
I actually salivated watching this.

Yeah we scrape out the choke part and stuff them, we also do it to create more space for stuffing all leaves, they get jam packed

Perfect so delicious 😊😊
Where are you knives from? They look awesome
I wanted to know what ingredients she was adding. It looks delicious. I'd like to try it if l could know what she's adding to it besides olive oil.
Thank you!!

She does that, she just does it after cooking, we do it before stuffing it
Such a misunderstood veggie! So yummy!!
You're perfect.

how do you eat artichokes i’ve never known lol

I wonder how long it took people to figure out the typical way of eating artichokes. I love e'm but it seems like a lot gets tossed in the process.
Very nice never made stuffing like that, I will try it but I am adding capers
You didn't remove the choke before stuffing
Can you do an artichoke like a blooming onion ??

The amount of oil

Eating this seems like a mess lol
I love you recipes but for my taste their may be a bit oily. There are some unnecessarily oil touches!
Che sei Italiana?
It doesn't occur to you to talk and tell us what ingredients you're using to stuff them? If you're disabled in some way that doesn't permit that, I apologize.
That’s a lot of oil 😭😭
That’s what they look like?!. I always get the spinach artichoke dip from Applebee’s and never knew what they looked like
