In summer Thredbo is a very busy mountainbike mecca. You put your bike on the back of the lift chair and ride the many trails down from the top. Its a great time to see Thredbo ... but it can get hot down in the village eg. 34degC down the bottom and 20 up top.
Mount Kosciuszko is pronounced "Cozzy-OSS-co". The greenery looks like cold country, with the dark greens and greys. In Qld the colours are a lot lighter green, even in winter. Hey, you're swimming so well! That's brilliant! The ducks are wood ducks. "Chalet" is pronounced "shallay". That clear alpine water looks so fresh. I wonder if there is gold in the streams? Too cold to pan for gold, though.
@@Abroadero But you can at least move through the water. I can float because I'm fat, but I simply have never been able to kick or use my arms to move forward. If I put on flippers, I can go for miles, but without them, I look like I'm impaled on something and flapping about! LOL You have good technique. The breathing will come.
@@Abroadero Robbie you are doing well with the swimming stroke. With the breathing you need to train yourself to be comfortable breathing out through the mouth underwater with almost sealed lips ie. Forcing the air out like blowing a candle out slowly, try about 3 to 4 seconds blowing out. When you are almost out bring your mouth out of the water and go from pursed lips blowing to open mouth and smoothly go from last little bit of breath out to a quick breath in. Then close the lips and repeat the routine again. Try it just at the side of the pool first and see how many repetitions you can build up. When you are comfy then think about how to roll you body and head enough during occasional strokes to take that qick breath.
