Great video Pete. My girlfriend and I love the spoil islands in Sebastian. We also take extra garbage bags with us. We even camped on that same island you were on. We've caught some pompano and black drum and catfish. We're so lucky to live here!!!!
I go to these islands all the time in Sebastian and I suspect the beer cans to be from teenagers who do not waNT to get caught with empties in their boat. I am glad to see 99 percent of the time the cans and bottles I see on these islands are all neatly in a pile.
Thanks for the Luv in Sebastian, I live there and camp, hike and fish there. Especially love the emphasis on taking your trash and not invading the bird sanctuary islands. The locals do organized pick up of the trash but we cant keep up.
Thinking of trying this spot. I’ve got a Hobie kayak that’s on a trailer. Is there a spot where you can back down to the water here with the trailer? Or would I have to offload away from the water and then use my two-wheeled cart to get my Hobie over to the launch area?
I know it adds nutrients to an already eutrophic environment but the wrong kind of nutrients would be fertilizers and excessive sewege leaks. In a perfect world it would be completely fine but sadly our planet is falling apart. You're right, less nutrients the better.
Nice snook! You could have subtitled this video "Cleaning up other people's trash". Sad that grown adults can't take the time to throw away / recycle their own stuff.
Thanks for making this video. I am going to be in Sebastian with my kids and they are excited to go fishing down there.
Hope you enjoy it!
Great job as usual Pete. Thank you very much for all you do.
Thank you Kelly for checking it out.
Mr. Goodwrench! LOL another great video thank you
Thanks Ken

Good Video Pete. Thank you for sharing! Been wanting to do some of that primitive camping. Those islands are the perfect setting. 👍
It is a great place to camp.
Great shot setup on the bait skipping under the overhanging tree!.
Thanks
I always take a garbage bag with me since I’m on a boat and I take out as much trash as I can
Thank you

Jim, there is a boat ramp a block to the north where you can launch with a trailer.
Thanks. Really appreciate your informative videos.
Thanks for hauling out that garbage Pete.
It's part of fishing.
Lmao I dont think burying poop will affect the river.
It dose.

Going the extra mile Pete, setting up a camera to capture skipping the cast in under that mangrove. Did you get that in one take?
It took two cast to get the shot.
Caught a nice size mangrove snapper in the jupiter inlet near the new fishing pier. I let him go.( regretting it now) lol
What is the best bait for lady fish and catfish?
A fast moving jig works great on lady fish and for catfish, shrimp on the bottom is hard to beat.
Thanks
TKS. Pete for sharing this info. will try it for sure. Keep up the good work! ( how is the grass situation in this area?)
What is your favorite lure for snook?
I like a suspend lure like a MirrOlure MirrOdine
