- Moana and Maui are getting married and they have a cute daughter, who is the bridesmaid! Pua, Heihei and Pua's little piglet are attending the ceremony too, and Grandma Tala is celebrating Moana and Maui's wedding from the spirit realm💚
Hi! How are you? This is the most requested Maui x Maui edit by far and I really hope you like it^___^ Even though, Moana has left Motunui now and is leading her people to new islands, I imagine they still come back to their old island once in a while. It makes sense to place the Moana and Maui wedding there, because Motunui holds so many memories for Moana and Maui wants to honor them :) That's where she sang How Far I'll Go and set out on her very first journey.
I imagine that Maona y Maui go on many more adventures together - both with their tribe (which Maui is now a part of) and on their own with Pua, Heihei and their daughter! Maybe Moana and Maui have a big wedding with their people, but also a smaller ceremony for their closest friends and relatives (and pets!)^^
Many people think Maui is too old for Moana, but personally I totally ship them together, because Moana is so mature, while Maui is very childish, so they kinda meet in the middle, haha :)
I think Moana and Maui have a daughter when a few years have passed after the ending of the original Moana full movie, so Moana is now an adult and Maui has gotten used to be in a tribe again^___^ That way the idea of Moana has a daughter is more natural :)
Hopefully, Disney will create a Moana 2 (or Vaiana 2 as it's called in many countries) - AND a Moana 3 - a whole movie series :D That would be amazing! Until they decide whether to make a Moana sequel and maybe send out a Moana 2 trailer some day, the Walt disney animation studios has fortunately 100% confirmed a Moana Tv series, for now just called "Moana the series". It will arrive in 2023 I believe and I really cross my fingers Dwayne Johnson will return to voice Maui :)

:) About the age difference and "Maui is Moana's father" theory. My reply:
To those who are concerned about Moana and Maui's age difference:
1. In this fan edit, Moana has aged a few years, so she is now 18-20 - which is the legal age in many countries, including my own native country, Denmark :)
2. Maui is a demi-god, so time passes differently for him. He might be technically hundreds of years old, but he is still a young adult mentally in my opinion, based on his actions in the Moana movie.
Myths and legends around the world are filled with demi-gods falling in love and having children with humans. As long as it's consensual and both characters are at least 18 and fit each other mentally, I see no problem with it.
To those who say "Maui is Moana's father":
It is a completely separate fan theory - which has never been confirmed by Disney.
That theory has NOTHING to do with my fan edit.
I would NEVER make a fan edit about a couple being father and daughter. That's disgusting and NOT what I'm about!
From now on, anyone who insinuates such things about my edit will be banned. It's getting very tiring.
If you disagree with me on the age difference, that's ok. We dont have to agree on everything :) But instead of complaining to me, maybe you could write or draw your own fan theories then? Creating and enjoying Disney fan stories is supposed to be fun entertainment, while we wait for Disney to create more animation movies :) There are like a gazillion fan fics and Disney fan art out there. Go find the stories YOU enjoy!

I absolutely love this edit! I love the outfits and the look of love Maui has in his eyes for Moana and their child is absolutely adorable! Though there may be an age gap, this is part of the fun of the fact that in movies like Moana where the characters don’t really seem to have any romantic feelings for each other, people can change the stories and make new romances come to life that weren’t originally in the movie.

When I edit Moana and Maui together, I always imagine a few years have passed, so Moana is now an adult, and since Maui still acts like a teenager sometimes, but started to grow as a person in the end of the movie, they fit each other mentally in my opinion^^ so the age gap doesn't really matter to me.
