King Iso has said he was institutionalized due to mental health issues. It was either that or a prison sentence, he had court mandated therapy. There was a KMBC special called The War Within that featured King Iso and others talking about mental health.
He stays true to himself and his story, I love it. One of my favorites is “World War Me” he’s a lyricist
