I love how every one of Karissa's videos feels like a spiritual experience. The music, the aesthetics, just *her*, I feel like I'm getting healed if that makes sense. I just love it here
i loved the film! it was everything you’d expect from sofia. dark themes interwoven with a candy colored atmosphere. i loved the use of costumes and hair to show the passage of time and priscilla’s coping mechanisms. coppola didn’t shy away from the weird dynamics either and that’s how i knew she was the perfect director to adapt this. i loved her 60s looks which seem to be a fan favorite but i’d wear a lot of her 50s looks too. cailee looked amazing in her 70s era.
I don't listen to Lana, so I can't really comment on that, but it makes me so upset that people think Lolita or Priscilla (or Priscilla's book) are romanticising pedophilic behavior. Both of them are showing the horrors of pedophilia and how it's far too normalized in our society. Don't get me wrong, the lolita movie was downright terrible, and they should've never made it, but the book was a warning to a society that didn't care about children. If people just actually paid attention to Dolores, she could've been saved. That book literally makes me feel physically ill it doesn't romanticise anything.
I love everything you say in this video and I really wanna see the film. By the way, there were talks of Brad Pitt wanting to adapt Britney Spears's new Woman in me book, after what he did to Marilyn Monroe with Blonde he needs to stay far away from it, if that book is ever made into a Britney biopic (right now its too soon, they should wait a few years), Sophia Coppola should direct it, and it should be only with Britney's approval.
so excited to watch💕 I’m at a point in my life right now that is like none other I’ve experienced and I wanted to tell you you’re the only person who gives me hope for a better future and the inspiration to hopefully have enough confidence to be my true self. I wait and watch your videos every Sunday religiously. Would you be able to make a video on how you came to this point in your life to where you’re so free to express yourself without being scared of judgement, because I can’t seem to figure it out for myself and need some help from one of my guardian angels. Thank you for being you.
The day I watched Priscilla in Spain I wanted to FINALLY see your video, bc I didnt want any spoilers and your channel wasn't avaiable. I'm so glad you got it back, I missed you angel 💖
you have such a beautiful aura! like obviously you're gorgeous but there are so few people i've came across in my life who emmanated beauty and light so well !! sorry if that sounds weird!!
This was so lovely to watch! Loved everything about it. You slayed this look and loved your thoughts on Priscilla. The hair is impossible to achieve without a wig/hairpiece, like Priscilla wore. You did great.
I love how she´s like a perfect mix between Priscilla and Lana del rey, looking wise I mean. And I also love how soft spoken she is, and how the whole video is so calming, definitely LOVED the vibe!
The makeup look is beautiful! I think that it worked out perfectly in the end. As someone who loved the Elvis movie this is definitely a must see for me as I also like you am fascinated by the stories of women in history. I've not seen Sofia Coppola's work yet though but I can imagine if I did I would probably really like it as it already sounds really my thing. Love your videos Karissa!
I got that Priscilla kit and I like the mascara but the eyeliner is a no go for me 😭 I thought it was terrible quality. But it looks like you did a great job with it!
I love how much sofia showed what a weirdo Elvis was in every way possible lol. And casting Jacob elordi was brilliant because there’s such a height difference between him and Cailee that it really emphasized the age gap between them. But side note, did you have trouble understanding what the hell elvis was even saying half the time lmao his accent was so strong and the dialogue was so quiet, I needed subtitles 😂
I need to try the double wing soon!! Your hair looks pretty!! Don't feel bad! You would have to tease the heck out of your hair for the full beehive! Or i think a hair peice? Lol - Belairbombshell
Don’t forget jerry lee Lewis did the same thing! He married his second cousin!! I forget how old she was, and that’s what ultimately ruined his career! He was going to be as big as elvis, but because of that scandal, ppl turned away from him, interesting that that didn’t happen with Elvis…
Elvis didn't marry his 13 year old cousin! His career was ruined because he came up to Elvis's residence and tried to shoot and kill him with a gun and was arrested. He would have never been as big as Elvis because he wasn't nearly as good looking and he didn't have anywhere near the singing voice. Elvis also didn't go around trying to shoot people that he was jealous of.
I hate how Lisa Presley kept complaining about the film being made and reached out to Sofia. She was upset about how it would portray her father. The reality of it all whether Lisa wanted to admit or not, her mother was 14 & he was 24… there is no denying that. Her mother was a victim. Priscilla might have gotten benefits for being with him but ultimately reading her book it seemed exhausting being with him but not knowing better and thinking that’s love.
Lisa Marie had every right to defend her father this film his horrible and depicts her father in the worst possible way. What about her children? What will they think!! Sad that this movie comes out when all the people who knew him are all dead, including him. There are two sides to every story we are only hearing one. If this was the Love of Priscilla life, she certainly has a funny way of showing it.i suggest you read Child Bride very interesting people who knew Priscilla in Germany and her family and her boyfriends were all interviewed
@name8220 I read Child Bride where Priscilla's friends and neighbors and others were interviewed interesting her story is not exactly the truth, and Elvis should not have been interested you are right but it's too late for him now to change that he died in 1977 this cannot be corrected so let him RIP but he was not a groomer or a pedophile in my opinion
Think about this: there would be no movie, no book, no palettes, no $$$$$$$, and no one would give a damn about Priscilla Beaulieu were it not for the man being referred to as an "absusive" "groomer ". She's literally nobody. Given the events of the past 46 years, especially the last year, had she not gotten ahead of the game with the book and it's passive unflattering vignettes about him in '85, everyone would see her for the greedy, vindictive ex who made a career out of exploiting a beloved American icon's fame and fortune (for longer than he was alive) and "mother", who knowingly exposed his child to a man who admittedly lusted after her 12 year old body, vile human being that she is. Deflection of the highest degree. She was an adult, 18, when she moved in with him and 21 when she said "I do". She knew what was up.....did he?.....Lisa's actions and disdain for the woman said it all. Nonetheless, there are 3 sides to every story and her's is just one. Don't take partial stories by unscrupulous people as gospel
@@jessicaemerald5066 I know I'm wasting my time even replying to this uneducated comment by the fact you referred to her as a "victim". She's a "victim" in the same vein as Meghan Markle is to that "bully" The Princess of Wales 🙄 Deflection to the highest degree. Both are vindictive unscrupulous people who unfortunately happen to be women, covet the roles of Kings (& Queens), and who trivialize the plight of real victims. You should have read the entire comment which hilighted the real Priscilla who has exploited Elvis and his name for twice as long as he was alive and in actuality put his daughter in danger by exposing her to an actual confirmed pedophile. Way to blow the smoke away from that by insinuating similar of The King. Thank Goodness for Lisa and now Riley, who know the truth.
I love how karissa uses a lot of more affordable products like elf, nyx, and colourpop. It makes me wanna actually try to recreate the looks!
So trueeee
100% agree!
same she’s so real
Karissa just embodies the lovely, calm, open and caring energy i am working towards as a creative and a writer
I just love how she talks so softly and very feminine. Love you Karissa, feminine queen.
did you see sofia had asked lana to be apart of the soundtrack 😭😭 ugh i can’t !!

"this was my Joker!" so real!!!
Yes it should not be romanticized
I feel the same way for the book Lolita and some of Lana's songs
But we can still appreciate the art
