I was surprised to find out both Jerry Goldsmith and Lalo Shifrin had been fired twice when they had such a long line of successes - actually seeing a list of people who had been let go from a film and yet continued to produce top quality work is inspiring in a way. Fascinated with your film music explanation. Film music has been an intrinsic part of my life. When I was a kid and wondered which music was that I heard in dubbed cartoons and found out - via YT - that it was Cue Ball Cat from Mr Bradley. They don’t have that isolated. Will you buy The Book in the link on the other commentary, please. The Book starts with “There’s a sixth dimension...” A lot of music in it; you can read and try and find the music that are not explicit. It’s a memoir about language but also how my life got mixed up with the cinema machine - you’ll understand as you read. Thanks
