Totally agree...somehow in just a few episodes, I unconsciously already looked forward to see these 2. Sadly they won't end up being together because he let other man to be with her. That must be so sad actually and that's the hardest part in love, to let your loved one to be with someone else because you want her to be happy. He had a very high chance to be with her, but he chose not to. Xiao Yao is definitely attracted to him but he kept scaring her away and saying those ruthless words to her. She couldn't see his true heart for her, my heart cries 💔
He is the only true love out of the three. Selfless to the end, his love for her is absolute and pure.

He is the reason i keep watching the drama
She loves him deep down. The way she looks at him, it's not pity but longing. The emotions in her eyes when he was taking care of her, the sadness and disappointment in her eyes when he wasn't there to see her off when she got better, the pause when he called her during Jing's ascension as clan leader. All her emotions were deep, it's obviously love. Oh, to be honest how can she not fall for him? He's Xiang Liu.
I don't know why, but I think he was the one she cared about the most and she also loves, he loved her in a different way... Somehow I wish he was the main character

She responded that if he dropped everything, she would go with him. He was just silent. That’s his problem…he’s refusing to let go of his revenge for the Chengrong clan leader. I think she has a deeper love for Xiang Liu then she does for Tushan Jing. Xiang Liu is that one memory she kept in that golden mirror. When Xiang Liu was trying to kiss her by the seashore after her sister pushed her off the cliff, she was afraid to let him kiss her because she was scared he might occupy her dreams & she knows he’s not the type of guy that would be able to fulfill it. If only he would drop everything for her, I really think she would pick him over Jing.

Because he knows he can't give what she wants- to have someone who will never ever leave her. He loves her but he has a heavy and risky responsibility.and only Jing can fulfill it. That's y in the end, when he learned that it's Fenglong who is getting married to Xiaoyao,he was so upset. 《He's my bias here.》

He IS the male lead though. If you read the book, you will get that sense. Unsatisfaction and tragic make you love and remember the character the most isn't it? Getting the girl at the end is not the must have factor to decide who is the male lead, remember the title of the drama is LOST You Forever

You won't find answer in the novel. I feel like I understand Xiang Liu more with Tan Jianci acting. Novel gave even lesser details about Xiang Liu action. Here at least we have JianCi eyes tell us more about how Xiang Liu feels, his acting really bring the character to life
