- The extraordinary true story of an unexpected friendship in the later years of Queen Victoria’s (Academy Award winner Judi Dench) remarkable rule. When Abdul Karim (Ali Fazal), a young clerk, travels from India to participate in the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, he is surprised to find favor with the Queen herself. Ali Fazal is very secure as a person, he does not compete with people, hes so comfortable in his own skin, reaaaally hot :) he is a rare person, cause he is original!
I agree here. He is surprisingly eloquent for a small town guy. He also has some sense of films and his craft.

it annoys me soo much because all they do is ask ali about dame judi dench and not ever about his own process of work.. he is not a little fangirl! obviously judi dench is brilliant like no other but he is an amazing actor who needs to be taken seriously too?!
"Amazing actor!" oh come on. He is amazing because he is good looking and he can speak English with the Englishmen? Lol. You guys attach too much talent to actors. What makes you say that Afzal is a brilliant actor? What depth of acting skills he presented? Did his character call for that? He was just himself as he played the role. I enjoyed the movie and his good looks and his acting. I think every romantic person will enjoy that romantic affiar between them. For the world (specially the film-goers) romantic couples are only beautiful. I find Hollywood actors to be more talented and good at their craft
@@ShowBizJunkie ok honestly you didn't know him before this role I have seen him before, he is a good actor so categorising him as bad actor is rude if you don't even seen his other work and yeah I agree Hollywood actors are great but that doesn't mean there is no-one who can act outside of America .

Yeah, I agree. He seems very naive. He needs to gather more knowledge and he needs to learn more on how to deal with Westerners. However, his acting was Superb in the movie. May god bless him.
