True. Also I see some people saying 2021 (first) concert was their least fav, but it's still the 2nd best for me. It has the best stage and visuals in my opinion. Song choices were very limited at that time but still great.
The 2024 had REALLY fitting singers performing, so I think that made the difference. Tho I liked the themes in previous concerts, it gave the concert more personality and made it unique.
The Under Tides theme is basically a hivemind singing. The "Arknights Hivemind" meme is based on them. Whenever someone reacts to basically anything Arknights "We Many" come to assimilate using the amazing music of Arknights.
To this day, duskdragon is still one of my favourite themes of all time. It's so atmospheric for the perceived etherealness and peacefulness of the fierce painted dragon, who is so different from the socially inept rascal that is its painter. It's as much as theme for the both of them, as it is for the painter's own anger, and it's so fun. If you want, here's the title in Chinese: "山水燼盡" and it can be listened to on UA-cam at the URL JhxfavKRBd8. This gives you an actual ending for the piece.
Thank you Jhulian for the reaction! I'm always super excited when you share your thoughts about wonderful music! I picked these songs because I was thinking about them as three "themes" Jhulian will/could explore: The East West music of Arknights, The Lovecraftian Ocean with Seaborn and the Emotional battles with characters we know. I'll spin a wheel and we'll see which one he could explore first fully! P.S: Yes, Lullabye is a boss battle. Incredibly sad ending for the character, but perhaps very well deserved...
ooohhh i am excited for the 2024 concert, we recommended that to you cause quite frankly, you havent really experienced the level of variety in arknights music yet and that concert shows, when we say arknights has all genres, we meant it.
Well...we all hate that kid like king joffrey (the boss from final song) but the story and music actually made some of us sorry for him and killing him at the end 💀
The Sui story arcs have traditional Chinese instruments to represent both the regional origins of the Sui as well as their age. There are already 4 Sui events and each has a different traditional Chinese vibe. The Seaborn story arc are about unknowable creatures evolving to be able to produce music. The next arc's boss theme is more about the human's formerly glorious past. The last arc, only in CN at this point, the eldritch monsters evolved to use their bodies as instruments. Lullaby is a song the boss heard when he was a kid, sung by another boss you fought in the previous chapter. I think this is the only soothing Boss theme, maybe there is one or two, but the rest are very epic.
There's something about live performances that carry an energy you just don't get in studio recordings. The 2024 concert is such a mix of styles from around the world and you can see the audience coming together and just enjoying every single bit of it, whether it be synthwave, classical, folk, pop, rock, military march, power ballad, and everything in between.
From what i remember and what a lot of the fan base has kind of theorized is that under tides boss theme isnt a theme for the boss, its a theme for the titular abyssal hunters, hunting the boss especially because of the name of the song compared to many others at the time
The other Ambience Synesthesia concerts were great... But the 2024 Concert was something else, definitely the best they've done so far

Agreed
Yup, Lullabye is a boss battle theme, believe it or not. It's as poignant as it is emotional set piece.
The hive mind has been summoned.
The hivemind has arrived
I come from the abyss as you command
And hive mind pays!
hello hive mind
Si

Make someone who don't know Arknights to guess where/what game these 3 songs came from.
From mountain, sea, and coffin. So poetic.
oh yes, duskdragon is really unique, my favourite!!!

10:08 "I Wouldn't want to defeat this boss ever, I want to be stuck in a loop" you have no idea how close you are to the story on this one xD
Who is real ost is full of bangers, I'd love to see a reaction to the second battle theme, awakening

Sad that the version of duskdragon you listened to was the shortened one, there is another version with a whole second part which i really like.
whoops 💀
I adore the chinese music in this game
