I’m telling you this channel is awesome... Even with not so many subscribers Marc is doing things with maximum effort and for watch enthusiasts that we have to admit there are not so many in this world... this channel provides for those who love it. God bless you Marc... you have a legendary determination
It's always a treat to hear Jean-Claude Biver. He is not just a watch industry expert but an institution in himself. Thank you Marc for making this happen. I really appreciate all the effort and energy you put passionately into your work. Viva watchmaking
Jean Claude Biver is a genius. I have studied marketing and worked for a A4 advertising agency. This guy is a marketing genius. So clever and very current. He had brought 3 main watch brands with a old art into mega brands. Inspiring just listening to him..
Impressive. Mr. Biver is such a honest and wise man. A true legend in the modern watch history. His brave and disruptive way of thinking is truly unique. I wish him all the best for the future! Chapeau.
The best interview of this energetic, passionate, honest, and humble genius! Marc, your editing of interposed scenes is both unobtrusive and highly effective. Well done!
My first Swiss made watch I ever owned was a SWATCH I bought in 1985 for $35 at the Burdines , now MACY'S. I was a 14 year old kid Now I'm a 47year old kid with an awesome Hamilton collection and lover of HOROLOGY. Thanks to Mr. Nicolas Hayek's foresight and passion. That swatch made me feel confident as a freshman in the Heavy Halls of high School. I loved that loud and proud ticking on my wrist. My wife remembers it well too. And yes, we're childhood sweet hearts.♥️
Nice story and just wanted to say that I've just bought a Swatch and had been a long time since I did!! It was the special edition Damien Hirst with Mickey Mouse, cool watch. All the very best to you
Amazing 😉 genius of entrepreneurship. Mechanical watches came out of the quartz crisis like a Phoenix bird 🦅 . JCBs legacy will live on. Absolute respect ✊ for this legend.
Inspirational interview! Not a big fan of either Hublot, Tag Heuer or Omega but his entrepreneurial spirit is so inspiring! Great initiative, keep it up with this high quality content Marc! :)
Well clever marketing has a huge influence on the general public... Watch collectors should look at the makes with the most patents ... innovative mechanical watches!
Marc, a great interview not only for capturing the passion of Mr Biver, but also for letting him tell the story without constant interruptions as so many interviewers like to do.
Mr Biver is so right with the mechanical watch, my vintage pieces sparks into life after a few twist of the crown and such watch can never be outdated. Love your passion and vision for horology, the interviewer's skilfully permitted Mr Biver to speak in depth.
What an extraordinary visionary Mr. Biver is...This interview is one I will watch time and time again, because the lessons embedded in his professional journey are universal, timeless and invaluable!
A truly amazing and inspiring story... As an entrepreneur and watch enthusiast, I continue to learn most of my invaluable life lessons from legends such as Mr. Biver! Bravo!
When mr Biver have time for an interview, it's not like one have to pull every word out of him, just ask a question about what watch he is wearing and you get the whole life story;) Always interesting to hear him tell
Absolutely amazing, thanks Mark for sharing, the best interview I've ever read heard or watch about Mr Biver. I have watched it now a couple of times WELL DONE cheers
Wow. Your content is always top notch. But this is fantastic. So lucky to sit with him. This must have been so much fun for you. Looking forward to pt.2. Thanks.
This is fantastic! Lots of lessons shared by Mr Jean-Claude Biver on the history and evolution of the watch industry, and how branding, direction and creativity can make or break a company.
What an amazing story, this is one of the best interviews I have watched, big Kudos to you Marc Andre for drawing Mr Biver in and letting him articulate. I can imagine he would shine in any industry.
Thanks for posting this interview! I am just simply inspired by his level of passion with watches! In fact, although I hate Hublots, I think a 1 hour conversation with him would end up with a Hublot Big Bang on my wrist!
Always nice to hear from Mr Biver, but already there is so much content on UA-cam about him. Of course one will never turn down an opportunity to interview Mr Biver but it would be interesting to meet other figures in the industry. Great video and I look forward to more!
I felt as though I was in the room with both of you. Fantastic! Not only are you recording history from the horses mouth so to speak but you are preserving it for generations to come.Yourself, watches TV et al are the personification of JCBs basic philosophy. First. Different. Unique. By the way I really like moving geometric wall that is included in some of your series. Vive l'horlogerie!
The man is a god! He has had a career that we can only dream about. I'm not a Hublot fan but I was fascinated by his explanation of the brand's identity. I love the approach of allowing him to speak with very few questions. He's an engaging storyteller and a larger than life character. Kudos to you Marc and team for this fantastic interview. Can't wait to see Part II.
It is amazing because the path he described via Swatch into fine watches is exactly what happened to me, it's interesting that it is the same group, 'Omega' that materialised into my first watch purchase after gazing at Pepe's speedmaster for years!!!!
I agree with his entrepreneurial view 22:18, being a hardworker is undervalued now that everybody wants to be the young millionaire CEO of their own company
Great analysis of how the Apple Watch has been made as the "gateway drug" to watches in general. Much easier to get a young customer to go up to mechanical watches if they've already lost their virginity.
Jean Claude should have the nickname “The Time Mechanic”. Each company he works with, he fixes their engine and they come back from coughing and spitting and perform like Ferraris!
I don't leave comments often, so please listen to me, l really enjoyed this video, you did a wonderful job. I have a totally different view of Mr. Biver, l like him. I'm looking forward to part two.
Just to clarify what Biver says. The Swatch watch was not an invention of Hayek but Elmar Mock and Jacques Müller, under supervision of Ernst Thomke working under Hayek.

Very cool and superinteresting video!
Many thanks!
Outstanding!
Just to clarify what Biver says. The Swatch watch was not an invention of Hayek but Elmar Mock and Jacques Müller, under supervision of Ernst Thomke working under Hayek.
Very true
Hayek made a product, a business, an industry, out of their idea.
