I remember back when no one got to see your face, I just got done watching the highlighter rocket video which the intro was hilarious but I have to ask because I've always wanted to try what you do on this video if it's possible with only your phone, no computer. So pretty much this little device is using aircrack tools all built-in to a little web interface to make it super easy to use.
Aircrack allows you to spam DeAuths for obtaining handshakes for WEP, WPA, WPA-2, and allows packet manipulation by injecting bad packets into the network causing it to drop out.
Doesn't the board takes 5-10 volts mean on the Vin pin not the micro USB port? With most arduinos the Vin pin has a voltage regulator but the USB port does not. I wouldn't put 9 volts through that USB port if I were you

Very interesting. Most importantly, I think you are smart for continuing to upload videos that you find 'very cool' the views will come. As far as the wifi jammer, yes theyre real, and many have been usong them since the creation of wireless fidelity (WiFi). What alarms me is that these same attack vectors can be extrapolated and utilized with the cellular and mobile telecommunications frequencies. Not to mention bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and the list goes on.....

Just made this project. Ordered it from amazon at 11:30pm and got it the next morning. It isnt a very hard project to following just make sure you have the right port selected thats all.

This definitely isn't illegal, these devices don't "jam" wifi, they just send constant de-authorization packets to all the devices connected. It is utilizing a loophole in the wireless communication standard most access points used, it isn't blocking radio frequencies.

Bought this off of amazon and followed instructions with this and the video on instructables. Its working perfectly with the WI-FI cloning and i also jammed my own network and saw iy keep flashing as it disconnected everyone on it. Now that would be funny if I took it to school right? xD

You can do this with Linux and aircrack suite as long as your wifi card supports monitor mode & packet injection. Pretty cool still tho...

The other guy said Kali Linux... which is true but there is different toolas you can use such a reaver for attacking a routers WPS system or you can use airmon-ng and use a deauth attack to gain a WPA 2 Handshake and achieve passwords. The other guy gave you a very vague answer lol

Can't find folder SDK_fix why?
Just download esp_deauther-master.zip and extract it. It's in there. Then you copy the files out and paste them in to the Arduino folder. The direction that you "only need to do 1 of these things' is a little misleading. It just referring to flashing with one program or the other which. After which you THEN need to do everything in the Arduino directions, -so you download more than just the .bin. Make sense? I don't really understand why I flashed the .bin to begin with; but I'm new to Arduino. I would think that Flashing would put the complet packing on the ESP. It does not.

Jammers work by sending out noise, like if you are trying to hear something but it is drowned out by everything around you. This is a Deauther that uses a completely LEGAL method to tell the device to disconnect. It is not illegal, for more information see the original project created by spacehuhn, he has a video on UA-cam with accurate information

Michael Low its not on playstore, you gotta download through internet search, if you don't know how to do that you're probably better off just forgetting about it.
But they can figure out who did it that way if they have a good IT guy and see the "attack" coming from your device ip in the console. The jammer you can hide in your bag and they won't know unless they searched everybody's bags
but an IT guy wouldn't know where your phone is. They'd have to search through everybody's phone and crack everybody's password which would take too long. So actually it's harder. You can't really track an ip. They could kick you off and that's about it.
Yet another script kiddie trend, the original creator themselves is not a script kiddie at all, but its rather obvious that by spreading this so called 'wifi jammer' its going to start being fixed by companies making it absolutely pointless.

You have no idea what exploits actually are, because ISPs have nothing to do with it
Also, Hannah G, totally agree, by making this device and exploits of this wifi chip too obvious it's pushing manufacturers and firmware writers to implement IEEE802.11X which effectively renders these types of attacks useless

My esp8266 was supposed come today but USPS screwed up and it hasn't come yet.
Please get the terms correct. A jammer in technical term is a device creating interference by sending out noise on a specific frequency range, there by JAMMING any and all signal in that frequency range, it will block everything in that freguency range even deauthentication like what this device does. but only within a specific physical range depended on the milliwatt of the transmitter and the DB of the antenna.
This device only deauthenticates devices on a specific access Point, tho only blocking access for devices trying to or is connected to that specific AP, it is NOT jamming the whole frequency.

Looks like you have to be signed to the network, if that is the case then device is useless. If your already signed in you can remove them other ways.

put kaptan tape between the board and a duracell as the case is painted metal and will short out the board...
