Wow! This was my older sisters' era, but I recall a few of these dolls. I would love to find a few of the more uncommon toddler and baby dolls. I remember the Wishbooks, Sears I think, from my childhood. I could spend hours going through the pages of dolls and games. I hope you have the Drowsy Doll later in this series. She is my all time favorite! I spent an obscene amount of money purchasing a practically mint Drowsy off eBay years ago. I still have her in her box, and she still has that plastic/vinyl scent that brings back so many memories. 🧡
Unfortunately Drowsy's not in this catalog, she came out in '65. The video is doing really well so I will definitely be doing other catalogs in the future, if I can get them. Thanks so much for all your support!
I loved this video so much . this is a time I would have loved to be there buying all these adorable dolls. I have the pitiful pearl still in her box in that blue dress and a few others I have. I really enjoyed this Thank you so much for sharing a blast from the past xx
Nice overview of that years dolls. We always looked ay the Sears Christmas catalog. I was given Miss Barbie who was in pink bathing suit and cap but had the three wigs shown here. Thanks for a walk down memory lane!
Good to know! I just got my first ever Miss Barbie doll a few days ago. She didn't have her swimsuit or wigs though. She'll be in an upcoming video. Thanks for watching and adding that info!
These catalogues are great for helping identify dolls. I have one. A Sears catalogue. Makes me feel just like a kid watching these. Remembering how I would go through the toy pages over & over. found memories that stir emotional feelings.
I really enjoyed this 1963 Montgomery Ward Christmas Catalog:)!! Although all of these Dolls were made before I was born, the Tammy Doll so reminds me of my Sindy Doll in the face:)!! I still have my old Sindy Doll too:)!! Also, Baby Sweetums's face is just like my Suzie Sez So Doll, but unfortunately I no longer have her:(. However, I really loved Baby Sweetums outfits:)!! I also really like the Drink and Wet Doll in her red dress with cherries on her under blouse as well as her pocket:)!!! As for antique Barbie, all of her outfits are gorgeous, but I LOVED 209 Barbie Bedroom Set:)!!! Thanks for sharing this lovely Catalog and I am looking forward to Part 2 as well:)!!!
Oh my gosh ! I remember the Montgomery Ward Christmas catalog. Very good memories of browsing the pages of dolls. I remember receiving a Chatty Cathy one year, and that Carolina doll seems familiar. Thank you for posting. This was just great !
Your videos are wonderful! Takes me back to being a little girl in the 1960's. Now I am 60 years young and collect Barbie and other dolls from my childhood. I have been collecting for 35 years and also have all of my childhood dolls. So much fun to see the Montgomery Ward catalog brought to life. It was Sears and Spiegels in my home and I remember perusing the catalogs for weeks prior to Christmas.
oh wow i would of love these so many beautiful dolls! wish i could buy them lol and thank you for showing this makes me so happy to see all dolls and accessories
Due to my older cousins' hand-me-downs, I had several Barbie dolls from this era (albeit the mid- 1960's, when Mattel was further expanding the line). Even the budget dolls had some level of quality.
that tiny chatty baby pushchair was also advertised on tv as chatty cathys.and the tammys house is huge and very impressive i have it mint and its very like the barbie dream house but opens up more and more.everything to records in the juke box , ping pong or table tennis table inc ball and bats , i think a lot of dolls were dept store specials and maybe horseman used there popular line dolls sold everywhere and de named them as dept store specials

They outfits were so detailed and beautifully made, too, with great accessories.

Then my work is done! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I enjoyed your catalog readings. Your voice is perfect for this. So soothing. I hope you do more baby doll readings from 1960 to 63.
Thank you, I have not made a video in a long time, but will be back at it again soon.
