Oh my GOODNESS. What a beautiful restoration. My mom had a MG, late 70's towards the end of the run. Got wrecked but mom was OK in the crash. We both miss that car.
@@BulletWanderer News flash! I bought a "barn find" 1980 MGB! It's presently up on jacks, suspension being rebuilt, engine torn down for overhaul, on and on. More than I expected to have to do, but it's got a clean body, very little rust, decent interior and is a fine foundation for a full restoration, or just to get it running (which is all I intend to do...for now). Something about these little British machines just speaks to me. Cheers!
Had a MG Midget for a few years. Really fun little car.. except that getting in and out of part. Avoided the interstate freeway systems.... getting a tractor trailer enema was a serious possibility ... 😎
Here's a project or something for you. In 1902 a British team won the Gordon Bennett cup. So the next year Britain was to host the race. However road racing was illegal on mainland Britain. Ireland was then part of the UK and offered to host the race. They changed the law so that the race could take place. The livery in honour of the host nation was a dark green, now known as British Racing Green. You could do a ride around the original or as close to it circuit of the race.
that shed is nearly like a museum!
What a gorgeous motor car!!! Wow, wow, wow!
What a beauty! That's not a bonnet, it's a big red tongue poking out at the authorities 😎
😂
Beautiful car, classic Brit love it.

Quite a stunner isn't it? 😁 A shame your mom's ended up in a wreck, but glad your mom was alright!

Huh, didn't know that was the origin of British Racing Green! Learn something new every day, cheers Simon 😁 I'll look into it!
