The songwriter is Kandi Burress, I believe. She was a Real Housewife of Atlanta for over a decade and also wrote "No Scrubs" by TLC...such an incredible songwriting talent.

So many people are saying that this song is underrated, but it was actually a well known banger from the album! It’s just that it wasn’t released as a single lol. I was one of the 2.4 million folks who bought this album within the first week it was released 😎. I miss the good ole cd buying days lol.
Yes it was ! The first time I heard it when I got the No strings album. I had that bihhh on repeat for what seemed like forever 😂 and then Kandi Burruss wrote the song so I never understood why Justin shouts Missy out but maybe that’s an inside joke🙂 love nsync forever

now they are all 99 to 99.5 decibels
even they use the LUFS as meter loudness ,which is around -8 to -7 LUFS all but true peak over +2 that makes songs awful. Also I can barely listen high end in many new songs and all they are bassy. And the vocals now are so awfully filtered with strange frequencies.

The fact that people know their songs word for word and Still till this day Get pumped is amazing and the fact that most people will sing word for word and STILL cant see that the amount much shade these guys threw is amazing and alot higher then you think. From the outside looking in from the POV of all the parties involved, you will that see that not only did they throw more but their level of savagery is on another level so damn high it almost disrespectful in the most enjoyable fashion

I heard this song & it sounded JUST like “say my name” bu Destiny’s child & “no scrubs” by TLC - so I looked up the songwriter & it was Kandi … same girl who wrote all the songs. I’m honestly surprised she got away with giving this to them - cause the vocal melody in the pre-chorus & chorus is almost identical.
Say my Name was actually written by Darkchild, but there were 4 songs on that album written by Kandi (Bill's, Hey Ladies, So Good & Bug a Boo)
