Electric water pump was on the way out for two years on the Diesel Skoda Octavia I was using I just put internal heater on lowest fan setting that sorted that for a couple of years. If your car starts overheating put the internal heater on full to dissipate the heat if hot water is flowing it should quickly reduce the engine temperature.
A very comprehensive check and in reality I guess it’s about discipline to do and letting the buyer now it will take some time. I would also add to your list about bringing a obd reader and checking for any faults. As you know you can have an engine light on and remove it with the obd reader and yet never actually fix the issue. And obd readers can be brought for as little as £5
Yeah I've had the engine light on for about six months no problems so far do recommend not running a tank too low and using diesel VPower in a diesel car rather than injector cleaner if you suspect injector problems or start to have trouble starting. A full tank makes you feel the humps and bumps a lot more but more traction with good quality road surfaces and a more even distribution of weight in the car and more stability.
Before driving away in a car you've bought make sure the wheel brace fits the wheel nuts and you also have an extension bar for leverage to open hydraulically tightened wheel nuts as well as wheel brace handle locking nut and a spare wheel thats the correct one to fit the car pumped up with tread and no wall cuts either side. A can of Holts Tyreweld can come in handy for punctures especially for women on their own they can even keep one in their handbag !!!!
At least cars aren't the rust buckets they used to be thanks to being galvanised and fitted with plastic wheel arch liners originally introduced to reduce road noise into the cabin.

Skoda's are popular taxis it sort of says it all and taxi mechanics deal with high mileage cars and are usually well up on diagnostics and repairs time and costs so can work out a good car to buy even with high mileage if you use taxi garages to service and repair them.
Yellow is my favorite car color, especially with a black roof! If I had one, it would brighten up my day!!
Many years ago I read that yellow cars were involved in fewest accidents (and black most I believe). Easy to see why!

When you wash your car check water, Oil, Screenwash, brake fluid, leaks under the hood, tyre pressures and tread.
IMO Yellow is not most popular choice but makes a change from the black and grey that most cars seem to be these days
