- On this day in 2008, the Hoops played the game that will be forever remembered for Shunsuke Nakamura’s absolutely stunning long-range swerving net-finder of a shot against Rangers. However, that wasn’t the only memorable moment of drama in a game that turned the tide in the championship fight. Novo equalised in the 50th minute, before Nakamura looked set for his second when handball on the line resulted in a penalty. Scott McDonald failed to score from the spot, but made amends in the 90th minute when he set up Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink for a last-gasp winning header. The Dutchman scored again in the final game of the campaign on a glorious Helicopter Thursday.

JVOH knew what it was like and what it meant to score the winner against the Huns, Big Jan was great and scored some cracking goals for the club.

more of this please, the 3-2 game a week later would be good or a few from lennon's first season like the 1-0 game where mark wilson scored and the 3-0 with a double from hooper, and the last ever old firm 3-0 win at celtic park in 2012 too
This was one of the more nerve-wracking games, we hadn't beat them in 4 games in which Smith was back as their manager. Naka's goal was the first goal we scored against them all season. When Big Jan scored I've never seen euphoria like it.

i was at game and McGregor had injured his left ankle meaning to his left was the only way he could dive for the pen and that's where Skippy put it fs, worked out ok in the end :) HH
I would've gone that way if I'd known his left ankle was gammy . I think mcgregor counted on that and fully committed to it
not worst pen I've seen. I'd forgotten about the pen/red card in this game. I guess nakamura should ve had a brace in this one ... some finish though. really knocked the stuffing outta them
