I tried playing fortite on my deck and the frame stutter is SOO BAD when i first launch from the bus... as i glide down, the stutter is really really bad. Im wondering what kind of settings you are on? like what GPU driver, what UMA ram buffer size, etc etc
I used whatever the latest driver was, and didn’t make any changes to the buffer size. I did use fsr/dlss in the games settings but I believe it was in the high preset.
Can you provide complete details of your installation here? I am trying to play fortnite on windows on steam deck and it just lags way too bad. I just wanted to copy exactly what you've done so I could see if it fixed my issue. What version of windows are you running? What steam deck drivers are you using?
Correct, it was an issue with the stock ssd. With that ssd subtler it wouldn’t even boot off of other usb drives or get into the bios. Very strange issue
hi, what if i run windows on an sdcard and play fortnite. ¿? i want to buy my first steam deck and install dualboot, but installing windows on an sdcard, the performance of Fornite would be ok ¿? Sorry i try my best to text on english hehe, nice video btw !!! :)
Thanks for showing that it can run fortnite really well. I played mostly that on pc. I’m planning to run windows from an external ssd
Thank you for showcasing this. I'm looking into setting this up, I'm glad to see that it is not only possible, but it can run well.

Yeah this would be super helpful because I know the deck should be able to run it.

Does having a higher SSD storage size make it able to run it well without the "We've hit a roadblock" error?
Absolutely, the 64 GB version was good for a while until I started running into those issues. A swap is cheap and easy and I would recommend it.
@@TG_Geek thanks, how do you get built in the controller to work?
I keep seeing a person comment that he can play Fortnite without windows
@@VegitoBlackityBlack You can through streaming. Nvidia or Xbox cloud
So does this mean that your steam deck is no longer bricked ??

Did you have windows/dual boot on it before the brick? Curious, as im currently in the proccess of dual booting windows on my oled and now im scared 😂
I’ve never tried to dual boot, I’ve just had each os separate at different times.
@@TG_Geek I see, thanks
Steam deck windows tools will do all that for you but better
this has computer to cool😎

Dual booting is possible but will wear down the sd card and slow it down over time.
@@TG_Geek dual booting can use the same ssd but partitioned
