A terrific generation. I'm regularly reading interviews with managers and ex-players from all over the world who all believe England have the world's best young players, France notwithstanding.
Can't see this lot regularly losing penalty shoot-outs either.

wow, theres still youth clubs in operation? im more impressed with that. Youth clubs are awesome, they help kids have something to do and keep them from getting into trouble. I thought they ended years ago..

The changes started happening in in 2010 with the England Youth teams taking tournaments seriously and the players being released by clubs. Even before thst under Trdvor Brooking reforms of playing on small sized pitches and developing academies. Then St Georges Park hrouping dveryone in yhe pathway in 2012. All of this was before Pep and Klopp. So they have ensured pure passing football is shown to a successful formula and as a young player your technique has to be top draw to make it in the Premier League but this youth success is not down to them I am afraid.

@@kingdaniel69that’s up to them, stay at a top 6 club and collect high wages or take a pay cut and play for a lower team and start every week, me personally id take the pay cut and play for a mid table side week in week out
@@robertofirmino1 Bowen a great example of this, but generally you need to be in a big side to get in the England squad because of the European exposure. If more went abroad, like Bynoe-Gittens (Sancho, Bellingham etc) then they may get in to the senior set up, and might develop faster

Madueke always looks impressive for the u21s then back to the Chelsea bench. Delap on loan, Elliott and Lewis getting minutes for clubs will help their development a lot.
He's not usually on the bench for chelsea , he's just coming back from an injury, missed the full pre season and plus the manager is still trying to find his best squad

I am from Serbia, and I want to congratulate the English national team on their well-deserved victory. The difference in quality is significant, with England having players who compete for Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Leeds, while most of the Serbian players primarily play in our domestic league, which is ten times weaker than the Premier League.

When Serbia get the ball they can move it around really well, i'd still expect them to beat all the other teams in the table. It's just this England side is full of potential star players, they're very fit so when Serbia do get the ball England players press and pressure really quickly. i'd expect other teams to not be as fit and let Serbia have the ball more.

madueke is a fantastic player but we have an abundance of wingers much better than him to choose from. With Elliot I agree, but with the current form of England first team midfielders he’s not got a chance at starting, his only chance would be Southgate dropping Henderson, which won’t happen, because despite his semi retirement, his game reading IQ and experience is very valuable.
