Spanish is still spoken by some elderly but definitely not the younger generations. And the second most spoken language is Tamazight in her different varieties (Riffian, CHLOUH ETC...)

@21:50 that’s called Bastilla, a small portion, usually we make them bigger, there are 2 types of Bastilla: chicken and fish, the chicken one you had it’s filled with almond, chicken, eggs and some marinating. Sugar and cinnamon are added on the top, It’s sweet and sour type
8:44 the snack is called caliente pronounced kalinté ( it means hot in Spanish). It's made of chickpeas and often eaten hot/warm. Enjoy your tour in Morocco
Hi guys, I watched your videos on your trip to Morocco with my wife who is from Morocco. We really enjoyed them a lot. Your positive, down to earth approach was really refreshing! We got a great buzz seeing all the places you visited, even though we were just there in June. Hope you had a great time in Morocco and look forward to seeing your next adventure
The round chicken wrap you got from Ayoub is called Passtilla, it's a traditional morroccan meal for wedding and such occasions, normally it's way bigger and meant for a table of 5 people or more, it's absolutely amazing and I'd recommend you try it fresh outta the oven if you get the chance, there's also a fish one which is more salty/savoury, the cylindrical sweets are called cigars (very creative, I know), but it depends on the region as the dialects slightly differ from region to region. My recommendation is you try some tagine, couscous, rfissa/trid, also tanjia and mechwi whenever you make to Marrakech. Tangier is the home city of my mother and my fav city here in Morocco, glad you're enjoying your stay there. Happy traveling.
